I had been on my period since December of 2004!!!
May 1,2005 my OBG recommended that I started taking yasmin to regulate my periods. I wish I hadn't!!!!!!! I was very irritable,I experienced nausea, fatigue, depression, dehydration, the constant urge to urinate (every 10-15 minutes.), and the worst was the constant nagging itch in my vaginal area. My vaginal area was so irritated that I could barely touch it to clean or wash myself. I thought this would go away after a few days but it only got worse. I stopped taking the pills 5/19/05 my period has returned, but the side effects are started to go away. If given the choice between Yasmin and a period that may never stop....I'll take the period.

I took Levaquin from May 1, 02 until July 19,02 for an infected hip prothesis. I developed severe pain in my fingers, knuckles, hands, shoulders and TMJ joints. The Dr. said it would go away. As of May 9, 03 I still have the problem and am seeing a rheumatologist. He, through blood test said I have ANCA Positive vasculitis which is caused from taking Levaquin. The course of treatment is steroids. I took steroids and the raised havoic with me, and only made matters worse. His next course of action is massive doses of steroids. IV therapy for three days followed by 100, yes 100 days of taking 15 mg prednisone daily. He treated his only other patient with ANCA Positive and it did not work.
I'm currently waiting to get in to Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic or University of Michigan Medical Center.
My question to anyone out here is if there is a class action law suit going against the manufacturer of Levaquin.

Death. A 30 year-old Visalia CA mom of three (one is eight weeks old) started having side effects just after she started using the NR. She stopped and got pregnant. During her pregnancy, her side effects returned for about three months. Later in her pregnancy, she seemed to improve. Her baby was born March 8 and both were healthy. She was suffering from headache, nausea, stomach pains, depression, throat constriction (she could no longer eat solid food). She died May 1. The coroner hasn't been able to determine a cause of death. Every medical "professional" she saw told her she was "just depressed" and "there's nothing wrong with you." Now, she's dead.
