I have only been on it for 6 weeks, but two weeks into it i became very dry, itchy and irritated down there. I figured it was a yeast infection, so I treated over the counter. Did nothing. I went to the dr. who said it could in no way be the ring and did urine and blood test. Until the blood test came back they put me on a cream in case it was a yeast infection and was not all gone on the outside. The blood came back that I had the cold sore form of herpes (will duh I get cold sores) and so they have me on an antiviral mediation. Three days into a five day medication the itching is worse. I keep telling my husband I think it is the ring, but the dr. says it does not do this. Does anyone else have this problem? I do not have to be on the ring for birth control, they are using it to treat something with my cycles that I am realizing would be better to live with than the itching and burning. Please tell me if anyone else has this side effect.

I started taking doxycycline hyclate 100mg twice daily for 10 days for a respiratory infection. After about 7 days I started noticing tingling in my hands and feet and feeling like I was being misted with water on my arms. The tingling became worse and is now very painful in my hands but more so in my toes. It is especially worse at night when your trying to go to sleep.
It feels like the nerves in my hands and feet are raw and going crazy. Nothing relieves the pain. I took my last pill this morning and will never take this medication again.

Wow, I was prescribed this medication for a sinus infection that I had been battling for weeks. I took Avelox this morning, about 30 minutes later I started itching all over my body, under my arms on my thighs and my eyes started swelling, I could hardly see out of them, my throat was itching so bad , I started choking ,and my heart started racing, I had a weird strange feeling that I would be sick forever and maybe I was dying. I was home alone so I took two benadryl tablets and looked this medication up on the computer. The muscles in my legs started aching. I started to drink as much water as I could. It has been almost two hours since I took this mediation. I am breathing okay, but my eyes are swollen and very red. I will not take anymore of this medication, I knew I was having a reaction, (sulfa is the only mediation I have ever been allergic to, it is listed on my records) Sulfa made my face swell up so bad, I looked like a cartoon character.
I think I have passed the initial reaction, I hope so anyway.

I am a 40 year old woman. I was having to do a lot of mediation for my work and discovered I had situational high blood pressure. BP was 160/105, pulse 90. Started taking metroprolol and have had terrible dreams about huge spiders at night. That they're in my bed or dropped on my head. Creepy.

My major complaint however is that I feel fuzzy in my mind. I am a paralegal and I have difficulty grasping the word I'm looking for in situations - which is a terrible problem. I do believe that the medication calms me down - but I feel a tiny bit out of it - not really forgetful, just a lot of difficulty grabbing onto and expressing what I'm trying to say. "Fuzzy" is the best word I can use to describe it.

Wow....sounds like Kenalog is not a drug to be administered without careful consideration of the pros out- weighing the cons. I had a Kenalog injection in my elbow at an urgent care center while on vacation about 8 mos ago (painful elbow was impacting vacation activities). It took my pain away 100%. Never gave it another thought even until just recently when it began hurting again. Did, however, notice the atrophy at injection site...and a grayish tone to skin. Indentation has not grown, but certainly has remained. My elbow is also super sensitive. Feels like the nerve is right there under a thin layer of skin.....so sensitive. I also have leg shakiness, hip weakness, anxiety, nausea, and increased heart rate....I assume these are related as I did not have these issues prior. These issues bother me way more that the indentation on my elbow. Dont like not feeling well. I guess the learning is that all medications are foreign to your body and thus have potential side effects. One needs to ask questions and or do own research on their own prior to consenting to take a mediation to be sure the benefits are worth it.

I was on 50 MG of Topamax and 1/2 Phentermine tablet for 3 months as part of a physician's weight loss program. In that time I lost 38.1 lbs (had little appetite, but had lots of energy and exercised by walking over 1 hr every day or every other day....depending). One week after my 3-mo weigh in, I started experiencing heart problems during one of my walks. I felt dizzy, I was sweating more than usual, I was lethargic and I just didn't feel "normal." The next morning I felt good so I went for my walk. The problems from yesterday intensified during my walk and I had to quit after 1 hr. I was very dizzy, sweating a great deal, I was very lethargic and I was nauseous. It also felt as though my heart was jumping out of my chest (palpitations). I went home and couldn't get out of the chair; that's how tired and bad I felt. That afternoon, I drove myself to the doctor. My blood tests and urine screen were "normal," but my EKG (on-site and immediate) was abnormal. I have always had "irregular EKG's" due to what I call "an extra beat." But this time my heartbeat was "enhanced" and not "normal" for me (doctor's words). The chart showed that I was having many palpitations (strong, irregular ones). I was told not to walk and not to leave town over the holiday weekend (the doctor still didn't believe the medicine was to blame since I had been on both over 3 months). I stayed inside much of the weekend, but finally went to a store to return an item. After 10 min in the store, I felt HORRIBLE (worst ever). I was so dizzy, very nauseous, I was sweating (in a very cold store), my heart was jumping and it was difficult to take more than a few steps. I went home and spent the remainder of the weekend in the house. On my own (2 days later), I cut the Topamax in half and took the usual 1/2 pill of Phentermine. I started feeling better that same day. The next day I did the same w/ my mediation and felt MUCH better (although not 100%). On day 3, my doc phoned me at home. When I told him I had cut down on my Topamax and felt much better, he told me to immediately stop taking BOTH drugs. I did and I improved daily. On day four I was 100% better. After a week and 1/2 of overeating (and being depressed about it), I began taking 1/2 tablet of Phentermine (but no Topamax) w/o my doctor's knowledge. That was 3 days ago. I am feeling well with an occasional palpitation (minor though). I am back to having little appetite. I see my doctor in 2 days. He may be unhappy that I put myself back on the Phentermine, but at least now I KNOW that TOPAMAX was what caused the majority of my heart problems. I am not sure what my doctor will do (probably demand I stop taking the Phentermine); I am hoping he will place me on a safer drug that will help me reach my goal of a total weight loss of 100.5 lbs. I have been overweight for 18 years (since my marriage) and I am FINALLY determined and motivated to lose weight by eating less, eating right and exercising. PLEASE be aware of taking Topamax!

I take this fairly often when I have fallen behind on my sleep and can commit a full 8 hours or more before I need to get up and start moving. I am allergic to Ambien, and none of the other more holistic routes works for me (warm bath, tea, melatonin, mediation, music, etc.). Simply Sleep DOES work for me, but I have to take both pills in the dose, not half. What I have noticed is that when I take it and don't go to bed for more than an hour afterwards, when I do lay down, my lower legs lose some feeling. This, then, causes me difficulty in getting to sleep. Best case I have is to take it, then go to bed within half an hour. Pretty much exactly what it says on the box. It does not put me out for the whole night, but I can get back to sleep easier than I do without it.

I went to the doctor with a sinus and kidney infection, after 2 days of levaquin, I had severe swelling in my knees, calves, and ankles, the pain was more than I could bear, I had vomited of the dry heaves because I had no appetite. Does someone know why this mediation is on the market, and why no one has done anything about it. I am still in severe pain after 9 days

My main problem with Lisinopril is the coughing. Coughing, coughing. coughing. I will be fine for 2 to 3 hours and then start with this awful cough. People will actually turn away from me if I am out shopping and a cough begins. I presume they believe it is contagious. Sometimes I end up vomiting and I cannot catch my breath. Coughing at night is really a problem because of lack of sleep. Doctors believe my cough is due to allergies because I have post nasal drip. However, none of the medications they have given me stop the coughing. I never had this problem until I began taking Lisinopril. Lisinopril is my first Blood Pressure medication.

I heard that you can get ringing in your ears (Tinnitus) from this medication...is that true. Should I switch or inquire about other mediation...I take 88 mcg of Levoxyl.

Recently, my 12 month old son was prescribed Omnicef for what the Doctor thought was strep throat. Before the medication he had a steady temp of 102 and was very un-energetic. After five does of 1 TSP my son broke out in a horrible rash all over his face, torso/truck, and upper part of his arms and legs. He also got a diaper rash and diarrhea. He also was very bad tempered and moody. This was such a change from his past behavior, even when he was sick. The doctor thinks this is an allergic reaction to the mediation and put him on another antibiotic. I am very concerned about this medication and it's side effects. It seems that eveyone is experiencing some very serious things.
