Wish I had never taken this god awful stuff !!!
Just happened that my lady friend needed pain pills so she got me to go to doctor and ask for them. No problem getting them since I have a real bad back...I try not to take any pain pills.
one night I ran out of my usual sleep rx...so took this instead.
Boy could i sleep good all through the night.
Also it seems like my depression had gone away..I stayed on it for 3-4 months 1-2 tabs a night.
Well i started getting crying spells etc after I stopped it.
Also had a bad ear infection with ringing noise. The noise is still there...not sure if i can blame it on the drug but there have been studies done in people that take large doses over time quickly going deaf.
Problem is you are hooked before you realize it...I felt perfectly ok for a while.
Suggest no one take this stuff for more than 2 weeks.
There is a long list of side effects for this drug if you look in the medical books. I think it made my lady friend depressed.

I started taking Lisinipril to lower my blood pressure about a month ago. since the beginning I felt sleepy, lack of energy, and soon started an almost constant cough and really horrible pain in my left hip/leg.
-- By tessa | Reply | Private Message meI had not found this forum at that time, but I did some research using the numerous medical books online. I came across two different pages about coughing and pain in the hip, both of them pointing independently to the same culprit: bradykinin, which happens to be a vasodilator. That is the way Lisinopril acts, lowering BP by dilating blood vessels. I have stopped taking it, and hope the damage to my leg is not permanent. It is really a dangerous drug and should be withdrawn immediately from the market.
