Medicate symptoms and conditions

This is an update. I have experienced "some" problems trying to get Doctors to believe that my muscle problems are Lipitor related. I was sent this by a nurse. It is not the full page.

Interactiions:
*Risk of possible rhabdomyolysis; azole antifungaals,
cycloSPORINE, erythromycin, niacin, gemfibrozil, clofibrate".

Guess what? I have been using an azole antifungal intermittently for the entire time I was on Lipitor. It is not a medication I "take". It is used topically for a fungal nail which refuses to clear up. You may have been using it for athletes foot.
Now one pharmacist says a topical application cannot cause this interaction and another pharmacist says it is almost certain that the azole antifungal gets into the blood stream and will interact with the Lipitor. I have to laugh.
Next week I start Physical Therapy on my left elbow.

After being on the NuvaRing for nearly two years, I just took my last one out two weeks ago and haven't replaced it. This site made me realize I wasn't going crazy and there wasn't something wrong with me. I really liked the Ring for the first year because it was easy, convenient, and maintained the secrecy of being unmarried in my culture and having sex. I'm 27 years old and am in an amazing relationship with a great man who is really understanding. This was my first form of birth control and maybe my last.

Here are some side effects I experienced:
Numbness in the legs
Loss in desire to have sex
Pain while having sex
Sinus issues
Feeling sleepy and tired all the time
Anxiety and emotional problems

I know people react differently to medication and I was fine until year 2 but if you're taking this or considering it, please do all the research you can and also pay attention to your body. You're not going crazy and you have to know that so you don't medicate for all the symptoms caused by the Ring.

I saw a Neurologist for the pain in my legs. I had an MRI taken. I never took the prescribed medication but there are women on the Ring going through surgery and countless medication treating the very things caused by the Ring. It's an endless cycle.

I don't think there is any form of hormonal birth control that is safe and symptom free. Just be careful because it's not worth losing your loved ones, your work, or your sanity over.

I'm Ring free for 2 weeks and I'm afraid of what that will cause but hopefully one day my body will be back to normal and hormone free.

I'm still tired all the time and am experiencing some spotting. I hope that's the worst of the after effects.

I was compelled to write this because of all the negative comments that have been posted. I believe the symptoms people are experiencing are real, but I also believe that they don't happen to every single person who takes Yasmine. People tend to speak out more on the negative than the positive, and that may be part of the reason there's so much bad feedback. I've been on it for two weeks now and haven't had a single side-effect...nothing. Although I wouldn't mind the bigger breasts side-effect. ;) I'm 37 and haven't been on birth control pills in probably 15 years. At the time I started taking this pill, I also quit smoking with the help of Chantix, and still no major mood swings, depression, decreased sex drive, etc. I have very acne prone skin, but it's been MUCH less oily since I started taking Yasmine. I've had some breakouts, but no large cysts. I also started using Retin-A about a month ago and believe the pimples I'm getting now are from that, not the Yasmine. Bottom line, everyone is different, and not all meds work for all people. I would encourage anyone who is concerned about starting Yasmine or wants to come off just because of comments posted here, to think twice and talk to their doctor.

I am very susceptible to side effects from medication but I have never experienced any serious, or even minor, side effects from Levaquin. This is the 2nd time I've been prescribed this medication and I'm satisfied with the results. I take 500 mg once a day. Maybe the people experiencing these side effects are prescribed a dose that is too high for the body to handle. Doctor's like to over-medicate. Make sure the dose is appropriate for your body type.

My freiends I have been diagnosed with everything disease a person can have over the past ten years. I have taken every single anti dep... and alot of other meds that make me misreable. I am convinced that most Dr do not have a clue what they are doing. Im not a Dr but heres a question. If the meds don't really do that much for you why are you taking them still. Ever notice how Dr will increase your dose and encourage you against your own will to stay on them. God the years ive wasted trying to medicate a problem that cant be medicated. Its a soul sickness.. I call it the hidden life of SELF. Dr say that we need to take care of it, we need to help it and we need to make it feel good. but I tell you this Self is a slave to all sorts of desires and lusts that carry spritual power over the faculities of my soul,,, Ie the mind will and emotion. are you one of those who is always doing the very thing that you don't want to do.. Have you ever wondered why,, have you every thought that it is going to take God himself to rid of the self inside that never has enough. Self is a bottomless pit. I do believe in mentel illness but I believe it is caused when a person fights in the mind and in there thinking and reasoning against the spirtual lust in the body. It is this battle that we will always lose ineviatably that makes us manifest the symptoms of mentel illness. there is a way out... My second run in with a blood clot resulted in passing out on my way to pick up my 8 yr old daughter and being rushed to the ER because of a PE (near death), I'm thankful to be alive however (no reason for PE and being on coumadin for the rest of my life) I feel so tired now, I don't want to go to work, I can't concentrate, I suffer from dizzy spells, I'm always hungry (weight gain), nausea sometimes. before passing out I was working out, doing Taebo, the balance ball thing, walking. Now I feel like I'm and old woman. I'm 32 yrs old and taking #5 coumadin and I feel so bad the majority of the time and yes the doctors say "it's shouldn't be the coumadin" but I think it is my whole world has changed and I'm just trying to get back to being the fun, outgoing, active me. I miss myself so much, its like I'm depressed. I MISS MYSELF.

My son took 60mg of prednisone for 5 days for his asthma. On the 5th day he had a complete psychotic break. He had a smaller break the next day and then seemed to be doing better. 5 days later he had another episode. When will this end? I wonder if we will need to medicate him for the psychosis. He is only 9 and he doesn't understand what is happening to him and neither do we.

I don't take Ambien everynight, only on really days or not having slept in a couple of days. On nights that I medicate, I find that I do get a sort of "high", but I also become extremely emotional with those around me. My husband has told me that he and I had conversations that made absolutely no sense. The weird thing is that I don't remember even talking to him. On the up side though, once I fall asleep, I'm out. No more continuously getting up and pacing, etc.
