There is a class action lawsuit for anyone that took Yaz/Yasmin birth control. I just saw the commercial the other day from an attorney in Denver and it's nationwide. Please call Nolan Law Group - Valerie Romo at 888-630-9340. They are handling it nationwide.

Hi-First, I just want to say thank you to everyone who has posted here. I appreciate your openness. I'm almost 38, have 3 little girls & a boy in heaven, and am almost done with my 3rd month with Loestrin. I almost quit during the 2nd month because of how it changed my life, but my doctor encouraged me to just stick it out for 3 whole months before deciding, and things should level off. So far, she's pretty right. I felt like I was pregnant basically. I was totally green both months but did not get sick. I was totally fatigued, and it was hard to function daily, especially with homeschooling 3 children. And, the biggest symptom is that it ERADICATED COMPLETELY, my sex drive! That was a big part of my husband's and my relationship and it was gone the day after my first pill. We were devastated. It has put a huge strain on our marriage. But, when I started this 3rd pack, I had my energy back and am no longer tired. I have no nausea at all. And, I can feel myself slowly inching toward wanting to have sex again. Yea! So, we'll see.:-) I had no other symptoms like spotting, headaches, or night sweats, Praise God. I haven't been on birth control pills since 1995, so, I feel a little out of the loop with all these new ones. But, so far, Loestrin is doing ok.-Melissa

Hi my name is M. and i have mild acne. I have been taking doxycycline for almost 1 week now. I started taking this med on June 1st until now. Well my concerns is that i wonder how long would i see the results from using doxycycline and if there would be any chances for me to be allergic to this med even after a week?

Oh My Gosh....I cannot believe I just stumbled across this site. Feeling so NOT LIKE MYSELF for quite sometime now made me decide to google Snythroid side effects, wondering if this medication I am on could possibly be the reason I am feeling so badly. I am 50-years old and started taking synthroid (Levythyroxine) about a year ago for hypothyroidism. I have been struggling tremendously with anxiety, mood swings, fatigue, more hot flashes, emotional instability, and sudden weight gain (about 10 lbs) since I started taking it. I never had any weight issues. I have just assumed this was all related to being "menopausal" (and I'm sure some of it is) and stress-related.....but here's the thing....BEFORE I started taking it, I felt "normal" emotionally, I never had a problem with my weight, and never really had any major "pre-menopausal" symptoms....in fact, I think I had A LOT LESS hot flashes and emotional turmoil, BRAIN FOG, etc., BEFORE I went on this stuff. I was technically POST MENOPAUSE two months ago. Okay, so symptoms should be subsiding now. Any menopausal symptoms would/should have been worse during pre-menopause. Again, I never remember having any major symptoms going through "the change" and felt blessed in that respect......so could it be possible that this hell I have been going through COULD be related to this fricken Snythroid????!?!? I want to just stop taking it to see if I feel normal again, but don't know if it's SAFE to go off all of a sudden. What is this Armour?? I cannot believe how many others out there are feeling like me. I hope this is the reason, so I can feel some hope. But now what do I do? I'm sure I still have to get my TSH levels or whatever regulated. Any suggestions out there? I'll try and make a doctor's appt and check levels again and see what my options are...I was told I probably had to stay on this stuff for the rest of my life. Thanks, everyone.

Topamax is off label for weight loss. I was put on it after gaining about 35lbs from Seroquel. It took the weight off like it was supposed to. My dose has recently been stepped down because I'm back at my normal weight of 135 (I'm 5'11").
When I first started taking Topamax diet soda and other sugary things tasted really strange, which my doctor says he's never experienced before. I also had a numbness and tingling in my face and hands for about an hour or so after taking the pill for a while.
One more thing that I noticed about this drug is that while on it my vision went from perfect to needing to be corrected by glasses. I have read a few things about vision problems associated with Topamax but I am not sure if it caused my nearsightedness or not.
Thanks for letting me share my thoughts.

Update....since I posted in April, my son has not had any night terrors!! I am not kidding, I never imagined it was Singulair causing them...he sleeps through the night and seldom wakes up! He has been off Singulair for a little over 2 months and is back to the loving little boy we once new years ago! Please pass this on to anyone you know who has children taking Singulair...give these little kids their lives back!

I received my first shot of Gardasil in January 2007. It could have started sooner, but about a month later my hairdresser noticed a bald spot in the back of my head. I rushed back to my ObGyn and asked her if the Gardasil could be the cause as nothing else had recently changed. She said that she had not heard of this, but she referred me to a dermatologist. I asked him if my hair loss had anything to do with the Gardasil. He replied that I had Alopecia areata and one thing had nothing to do with the other. He advised that I continue with the Gardasil and that he would start treating me for the alopecia. I wish that I would not have listened. I don't know what would have happened if I had stopped then, but I didn't I proceeded with the treatment to the end now over half of my head is bald!!!
I don't know what to do. I keep going back to the dermatologist for treatments for the alopecia, but it just keeps getting worse.
If anyone has had a similar experience and would like to share or has found some other treatments that work, please post a reply.

I received my first Gardasil shot on May 5, 2008 and about two days later I began to notice I was losing a lot of hair. I didn't fret because I had just gotten done taking finals and had been stressed to the max. I figured it was just my body responding to the stress. I have a lot of hair so it didn't phase me one bit. A week progressed and I would lose gobs of hair when I took out my hair band, brushed my hair, washed my hair, dried my hair. Now May 17, 2008, nearly 2 weeks later, my hair is half of what it used to be. I am freaking out. When I say I have lost alot of hair, I mean I can ball up the amount that comes out after a typical shower and it is about the size of a golf ball. I have not introduced anything new in my diet, nothing has changed, and I am not stressed. I am convinced this is due to Gardasil. Has anyone else experienced hair loss? If so, for how long? I am really scared.

Thanks to all of you for sharing your stories! My son is 9 and has been taking Singulair for almost 7 years. These symptoms that have been posted are so true in my son. He was diagnosed with ADHD at 5, has had a temper/attitude problem and has been sleep walking and having night terrors severely recently. I can't believe some of the things that I have read here. My daughter is 5 and she has been on Singulair for almost 2 years. I have never heard of these side effects until the other day at pre-school a teacher told me that she heard a story about how Singulair can cause suicidal thoughts. This really got me concerned. I have told my husband not to allow either child to take it again, so we could see if this is the main cause with all my sons’ issues recently. Again, thank you all for sharing and I hope the children involved have no long-term effects from this medicine! Melissa in Ohio

Hi All,
I am a 28 year old married mother of two (10years and 19months). I suffered from extreme hyperemisis and I just barely made it through my pregnancy by the grace of god. Due this horrific experience and high chance of it reoccurring with the next pregnancy I decided to try the Mirena. I just had mines inserted about 1week ago. It was painful during the insertion but pain quickly subsided and became minimal. So far I have been experiencing practically constant cramping (about the same as when on cycle) and slight bloating feeling. I also have been spotting almost daily, but my biggest concern is that I feel tingling in my legs if they are crossed or bent. Almost has if the flow of the blood has thickened. I just contacted my Dr about this and am waiting on a response. At the moment I am thinking I can tough this all out if the symptoms will disappear after 6 months. I like the fact that my appetite has decreased, and my portion size intake has decreased to about half. I have been struggling with my weight and feels this is a good thing. I will keep updating just as and F.Y.I…..

Hello everyone i'm kharma..I've had my mirena IUD for alittle over a year, insertion was February 07. here's my experince...Insertion was very painful and contiually had contractions for several weeks. My first period was about three weeks after insertion,it was extreemly heavy, lasted 7 days ,had huge clots as well. For the first six months I spoted lightly on a dailly basis, also had side effects such as anixity, moodswings acne on back(never had it there before),insommia, major bloating, and some headaches..No weight gain though! Around the six month mark...everything seemed to adjusted, thank God. I now have very light 2-3 days of spotting once a month, acne seemed to be clearing up as well, bloating has stopped my side effects are no longer a problem. As for my labido..sense mirena..its better than it ever was, when I was on b/c pills I had no labito..so thats been a plus..Now right around my year mark ,I've had weight loss vs gain..I've loss 27 pds..yeah...I guess everyone's boby is different,my heart goes out to everyone who's having problems..i too was scared and wanted mine removed during first six months. But I'm now grateful i waited and my body adjusted to the mirena.Hope this gives some hope...kharma...

After receiving my second vaccination I discovered pimples on my scalp, followed by hair loss. This condition is still reoccurring eight months later. Although doctors say this has nothing to do with Gardasil, it happened almost immediately after the second injection.

I am on my first week of taking Femcon FE. I started the pill on the first day of my period; although I have always had terrible cramps for my period I think this month my period was the absolute worse ever. I was nauseous and in a lot of pain for the entire second day of my period. Also this week I have broken out very bad which was never a very bad issue for me. This week I have also been feeling moodier then normal PMSing. I plan to give this pill a few more weeks then call my doctor and ask about changing. Please let me know if others are having similar symptoms, and if I may be having these side effects because of Femcon Fe, or if its because I am new to the birth control pill all together. Thanks.

ever since I started taking this drug in Dec. three weeks after I take one I get these red itchy pimples that turn into bright red rashed. I have been prescribed to take one pill after every time I have intercourse. I am not sure it this drug is the cause, but it didn't start until I started taking this drug. Any information would really be helpful.
thanks,

Well I posted before regarding severe thirst the first week of Yasming. Well i have now done a full month. The thirst went away. I have lost weight. The headaches were gone in 2 weeks. My period was light and short, no PMS. My breasts did get severely tender for three days, but this also passed. I just started my second month. I want to see if this is all a pattern or if it was just during adjustment. I will let ya know--Melissa D

I posted my experiences on June 5, 2009. I thought I would do an update. Yes, I am overjoyed that I had Mirena removed. It took 3-6 months for the side effects from the drug to disappear after removal. In the first 1-3 months following removal I haven't experienced another rash, itchy skin, hair loss, anxiety, heart flutter, bloating, cramping, breast tenderness,or eye twitch. It took about 3-6 months for the mild to cystic acne and low back pain to finally vanish. I still have problems with tendinitis in my wrist. The depression and feeling of laziness is also a side effect of the medication that can disappear if the device is removed. I paid for all the expenses out out pocket with no insurance, but I'm glad I didn't wait to have the Mirena removed because of the expense.
