I've only been on singulair for 6 days and it is now 4:23am. I just couldn't sleep tonight. I've been having the strangest dreams and I commented to my wife about them. We just laughed it off. Anyway, at this time of the morning, my EARS are "Hissing" so loudly, not ringing, however I do detect a slight pulsating tonal sound in my left ear, that I just couldn't sleep anymore. I've a history of Tinnitus but something has exacerbated my tinnitus dramatically, so much so it is keeping me awake. I think I'll be needing something to help me sleep now. Perhaps I will stay off the Singulair for now just to see if life returns to some kind of normalcy. Could it be a side effect of Singulair. I don't know but I felt like driving something through my head to stop all the loud noise. Has anyone else experienced elevated levels, or a new development of "Ringing in the Ears", commonly known as Tinnitus?

Hello,
I am soooooo happy to have found this post!!! I have been on Yasmin for approximately six months for very irregular or non-existent periods. About four months ago I began having dizzy spells where I could not walk or move my head without vommitting. I have now had one each month, this last one occuring for three days. I have also experience nausea, stomach aches, vommitting, etc... intermitent from the other symtoms. Long long story short I was referred to an ENT specialist and was diagnosed with Meniere's Disease (Inner Ear.) I didn't buy it so I began searching for side effects of Yasmin - I am stopping it today! I have my fingers crossed this is the problem>

This drug has totally controlled my Meniere's disease. It's given me my life back. The only side effects have been using the bathroom more. Possible blurry vision.

Very strange, I also had an attack of vertigo with nystagmus (hoizontal) that was thought to be Meniere's disease. Kept on same dosage (3000mg a day) due to Kidney transplant. Otherwise, fatigue and weakness are only other direct side effects.

I have severe allergies that aggravate Meniere's Disease (acute vertigo attacks). My suffering had me at wits end and my Doctor gave me a Kenalog shot in the shoulder. My symptoms cleared up in a couple days with no side effects other than the typical steroid effects of weight gain, hunger, irratability, etc. My allergies disapeared. It's lasted about 5 weeks and I'm trying to get back in for another shot.

I have been on Maxzide .25mg for 3 years to help balance fluid for meniere's disease. I have dry skin, hair, blurred vision and recently developed severe painful muscle cramping in my legs and hips followed by numbness in my legs arms and hands. I stopped taking this 05/29/05 in hope to get my life back. I'm 40years old this should not be happening

My husband has been taking Singulair for a little over a year. It has really helped his asthma. But..... in this year period he has complained of dizziness, ear popping, ringing in the ear. He went through series of tests and all the Dr. could come up with was Meniere's. I guess that's the diagnosis when they can't pinpoint it. He had blood work done this week and the Dr. advised him of elevated liver enzymes. I saw 2 other posts concerning this. Can Singulair be the culprit? It really has helped with his asthma but the side effects aren't worth it.
