Cholesterol slightly elevated Dr. recommended 10mg dosage. Began experiencing neck and shoulder pain, dizziness, nausea, foot stiffness and leg numbness up to the lower thigh. Voluntarily stopped the medication after four months. All noticed side effects disappeared except for the foot stiffness and leg numbness. It has been 2 1/2 years and these remaining side effects are constant. Not optimistic for recovery. Anyone else with similar symptoms?

64 old male on the drug 10mg for several years, depression, cramps, back pain, foot pain. After talking with a retired Heart Surgeon he convinced me to stop taking Lipitor. Now I see I never should have taken the drug and it tells me how stupid I was not to research it more. The side affects from stopping have caused me some concern and I hope they will be gone in time.

I am a healthy female with little to no history of adverse reactions to medications. I was prescribed a 10 day dose of Levequin (500 mg) for a minor but stubborn skin abscess. After the third day, I woke up with significant joint soreness in my fingers. Progressively the soreness spread daily to my wrists, elbows, ankles, knees, hips, etc. I did not suspect the antibiotic at first, but I know my body, and I know something was WRONG.
After my 8th dose I decided to look online...it is at least good to know that what I'm experiencing is definitely from Levequin. Thank you all for sharing your stories.
I especially found MERCEDESLANE posting on April 15th interesting. I guess this person works in the health care system. Considering this uncompassionate individual, who apparently wants everythone to know he has a Mercedes, can't spell (whine), and does not have basic grammar skills. Wow...my faith in the our health care system is stronger than ever. But what do I know, I'm just an "IDIOT" with shingles that needs to have a couple of glasses of whine while I pop my remaining Levequin.

I work in a health care system and we have used levaquin for this last cough, cold and flu season. It has worked wonders for the various upper respiratory infections.
No one has developed rashes, boils, or bone/muscle pain. After reading the first response, her abnormal reaction sounds more like a bad case of shingles.
Then, I read the last post where the person drank two glasses of whine to help with the blah blah blah. Mixing alcohol with any type of medication will not help with Your sypmtoms were a "full fledged panic attack" as you stated from the beginning.
Nothing but idiots posting here!

Been diagnosed with diabetes type 1 three years ago, I was urged by my doctor to take statins to lower my LDL level (which was 130) down under 100. At the beginning I was reluctant but my doctor insisted. So I started to take Lipitor (the Mercedes of the statins, so I've been told), 20 mg a day. I've noticed that my health was deteriorating: muscle pain, confusion, bad memory, trembling when I have to write something, and more recently a terrible pain all along my leg. I am practicing sport on a regular basis (4 to 5 times a week), walking a lot, climbing stairs. I'm 47 kg, very slim and I didn't have any muscle pain before. I could not understand why I feel all this pains. Now I've been reading all those things people testify about statins and I realise that it is possible that all the health problems I had recently are the result of Lipitor taking. I'm quiting this drug tonight!!!

I took TraceLyte and unfortunately helped me to cure my cancer.
