Metal taste in my mouth symptoms and conditions

Just wondering if anyone has experienced sinus congestion (not relieved by antihistamines like Claritin, Allegra, Zyrtec) and not having a cold?

I've been slowing working my dose up on Wellbutrin from 75 mg. a day to 100 mg. to avoid side effects. However, I'm experiencing a sharp rise in migraine headaches and this weird nasal congestion. I can't find where anyone has noticed 'nasal congestion' as a side effect.

Dr. today suggested I stop the medication for 1 week and see if these two possible side effects disappear; which I plan to do. I am small and sensitive to all antidepressants and have to go low and slow. 16 years ago there was ONLY Brand name Wellbutrin which is what I took.....75 mg. twice daily and I didn't have any problems. Don't know if I'm reacting to the fillers, dyes and substances in these Generic Wellbutrin by Teva.

Anyone out there that has nasal congestion or Migraines from Wellbutrin??

I too have suffered side effects and till this day am suffering from Levaquin.
In Feb of 08 i was diagnosed with Prostatitis and was given a 14 day dose of Levaquin. Hours after the first dose i started experiencing pain in my lower extremities,me thinking it was caused by the prostatitis i continued the doses.By the second dose i was in absolute pain in basically all my insides and started having this metal taste in my mouth.Not ever being allergic to any type of medicine i continued the doses only getting sicker and worse.By like the 6th pill i was having anxiety,insomnia,hallucinations,nightmares whenever i was able to close my eyes,partial psychosis,rashes on my face that would get bright red then go away and the skin would peel off.I would be so thirsty water couldn't quench it,suicidal thoughts.I developed a pain in my left calf and behind my left arm in the tricep that till this day bother me.Joint pain,ringing in my ears,excruciating headaches like someone was jabbing a knife in my head,lost 30lbs cause of the colitis it caused,neuropathy,and so much more,it was a total nightmare.
I went in for discomfort of my prostate and doctors couldn't understand why all the other symptoms only a week later,they were completely clueless and told me i was making this stuff up cause i was having an anxiety attack.. I was a perfectly healthy 33yr old before levaquin. The doctors sent me for test after test from HIV to LUPUS only to tell me its all in my head,that i was a healthy man to move on with my life.I would try to sleep and have all these terrible thoughts and would swear i slept for 3 hrs only to see that 20 minutes have gone by,i was gentle to the touch.My family had no clue,they thought i was going nuts.I was pretty bad for months after,the effects started going away little by little,i was back 50% to myself by like June of 08.Since,i still have the pain in my left calf from time to time,tremors,joint pain..I have since joined the gym and have been taking supplements that have helped a lot with my joint pains.
This stuff is poison and should be taken off the market..

I was on the depo-provera shot prior to using the nuvaring and I would definitely like to switch back! The first month and a half was fine but the second time I put in the nuvaring, it fell out the next day! I didn't realize it for a few days until I "thoroughly searched" and realized it was gone! I thought back and realized it must have slipped out the day after i put it in, (i had a particular instance in mind) well i put a new one in and ever since then (for about 2 weeks now) i have had the most awful cough! =( despite taking endless amounts of medicine, it's not getting any better and it's to the point that I cough so hard that i literally gag. I never would have thought that this could be caused by the nuvaring but after reading these other stories and re-glancing at the side affects, I'm pretty sure it's to blame. I am leaving it in until I get the prescription for the depo which should hopefully only be a day or two. Has anyone else had side pains associated with this? It just started today on my right side and hurts the most when I cough.

I am a 41 year old male that has BP averaging 140/90 and spikes that were extremely hi 190/125 (which landed me in th ER). Lisinopril 10MG was prescribed last Friday. My BP came down immediately yesterday 111/75 today 109/69. That is the only good thing. I have a headache, dizziness, feel disoriented, had urges to urinate and nothing would happen. Yesterday while trying to walk, wash my trailer, or even chew a piece of gum whatever muscle I was using became soar immediately. They felt as if I had run a marathon or something. Today after one flight of stairs to get to my office I was short of breath and my leg muscles hurt. I had to go lay down at lunch because this stuff makes me so tired. It is like I have been poisoned. As I'm typing my fingers hurt and the metal taste in my mouth has me thinking I want to trash this stuff. The doctor says they haven't herd of these side effects and and they said to cut the pill in half.

Severe wheezing almost to the point of not being able to breath, huge red blotches all over my body, metal taste in my mouth I can not get rid of, lethargy to the point I am sleeping almost 19 hours every day.

Has anyone noticed a metal like taste in their mouth after taking Diovan 160mg.? Thought I would see if anyone else has experienced this. Thanks

I have only been on topamax for a week and have not had any crazy side effects thank goodness. I went on all the websited before I started taking it and I thought I would bald by now or throwing up all my food! Anyways, I am a 22, F taking it for migraines. I, of course, have only been taking 25 mg since this was my first week. When my dose goes up this next week I am sure crazy things will start to happen! Ha hopefully not though. But, I just to write something NOT HORRIBLE about topamax on here. The only things that I have noticed is the soft drinks and beer, sadly, not tasting that great and I have a gross metal taste in my mouth. But I never drank soft drinks in the first place and I am a college student so I am used to Keystone beer, which doesnt taste that great, anyways! My migraine that I had for 6 days finally went away, so that was good. I haven't even had the tingling yet. Keeping my fingers crossed. Hopefully all goes well after my meds are up-ed;) I just wanted to write something possitive on here for those about to start topamax because I know when I was reading things on here before I started it scared the hell outta me. I have been on Biaxin for 3 days now (for laryngitis & sinusitis) and BOY does it leave the worst metal taste in my mouth and especially on my tongue. Seriously. I feel like I have quarters in my mouth. Gross! It also makes me dizzy and nauseous.
Luckily, I've had no problems sleeping.

I was prescribed Levaquin for an upper respiratory infection this year. After taking the medicine as prescibed, my lymph nodes became extremely enlarged. My tonsils were removed when I was 17, yet my throat remains swollen together. I have a metal taste in my mouth. I have no energy. I went back to the doctor for more blood work and was told that I had chronic recurring mono. I have never had mono. I have not taken this drug in about one month. My feet and legs ache so badly that I can hardly walk. I have not been able to sleep through the night. I feel so out of it like I am going through motions of living, but that I am absent, somehow. I have patchy dry skin, which I have never experienced before. I could really identify with the person who said they feel they were hit by a truck. It is impossible to sleep through the night, yet you can't sit up. Do these symptoms subside? I read on here that someone is still having these symptoms three years later. I am not able to live my life. I go to the grocery store and I have to come home and lie down. My energy level is so low that it is affecting every aspect of my life. I had two prescriptions of Levaquin this year. I never knew of the side effects. Why was there no warning. I would have never taken this drug, had I known the consequences. The pain that I am experiencing is not alleviated by any pain medication I have tried. My throat is so swollen that it chokes me at night. My glands remain enlarged and I feel as though my spleen is enlarged. There is no where I do not hurt. I feel so "out of it" that it is hard to drive anywhere or complete any task. Does anyone know if there is a cure for these things?

I have been taking Levaquin for 11 days. The side effect that it has given me was the metal taste in my mouth, loose bowels and joint pains.

Thank goodness I am finished taking it.
