my 6 year old has what doctor's have called cough-induced asthma or reactive airway disorder. He doesn't wheeze but gets these severe coughing spells which get worse at night. Usually comes on during the colder months. He is on Flovent, and Singulair to maintain When he gets the coughing spells, he gets the Albuterol inhaler 2 puffs every 4 hours. It makes him NUTS. Literally climbs the walls, Can't sit still. I'd rather have him cough than to see him like this. Now with the most recent coughing episode, I've noticed an extreme personality change. To the point where his 1st grade teacher called me to ask if it could be the medicine. He's normally a shy kid, sweet now all of a sudden he's a social butterfly in school and interrupting the teacher. AT home, he's just not right .Doctor changed him to Xopenex inhaler but he's still not right.

My 22 month old daughter has been diagnosed with asthma. She was prescribed albuterol to inhale with a machine and mask every 4 hrs as needed beginning on Monday. This medicine is dangerous as she has been more than hyper. She has been falling and injuring herself. She fell last night and gashed her forehead on the radiator. We were in the E.R. until midnight. Thank God she's better, now. I gave her one treatment this morning at 7am and have refused to give her any more. It is too dangerous for her. I've rubbed eucalyptus cream on her chest and she seems to be wheezing less. Any other moms go through this? Any homeopathic suggestions for asthma? Do you find that all doctors diagnose children for asthma if they are coughing and wheezing a little?

My symptoms are the same as all (anxiety, mood swings, low sex drive) and I plan to have this thing taken out ASAP. It has been so bad lately that I cannot function. I've had more panic attacks than I can count in the last couple of weeks. What I want to know is how people fare on the other side of things. I would imagine it takes a while for your body to regulate after removal, but how long. And to echo- no more artificial things in my body.
Side note- has anyone tried cold shower therapy, apple cider vinegar or lemon balm for the anxiety? (******)

My 16 year old daughter became very hyper and spastic 5 minutes after an inhaler treatment at the doctors office. Extremely scary. She could not speak without repeating each word a dozen times and couldn't keep still. The dr had never heard of such a reaction. Her eyes were glassy and it didn't wear off for hours. Never again will I allow her that drug! The Dr still wanted her to use albuterol in an inhaler afterwards for her asthma!! Fortunately it was not her regular Dr.

I was prescribed a 10-day regimine of 500 mg capsules, 3 times/day for sinusitis. Day 1 with all 3 capsules, there were no side effects at all. After the 1st dose on day 2, I noticed that I felt hot and weak. I looked under my shirt and my skin looked sunburned. I checked further and found my whole body from neck to toe was bright reddish, like sunburn. I immediately discontinued thinking I must be having an allergic reaction. The next morning, the "sunburn" changed to thousands of little red dots all over. I called my doctor who confirmed I am now allergic to Amoxicillin, even though I used it in the past for probably 10 times with no side effects at all.

My doctor just increased my effexor dosage to 3 75 mg capsules a day because I was have thoughts of dying all the time. My side effects seem to be lightheaded, tingling sensation in my face. I still have thoughts of wanting to die, just not as much as I did before the increase. I have been on several different meds: lexapro, zoloft, cellexsa, now effexor.

I was prescribed a 10-day regimen of 500 mg capsules, 3 times/day for a tooth infection. First dose at 9:00 pm last night (Friday). Woke up seven hours later with intense itching back of the neck and inner part of both elbows. No other symptoms. Spreading across shoulders and stomach. I'm taking generic antihistamine and applying calamine lotion. No really relieving the symptoms but I'm hoping they will subside my 9:00 am this morning. I'm glad I don't have to try to work in this condition. No plans to take a second dose.
