Funny...Me and my Boyfriend of 3 years just had this big heart to heart today trying to figure out...WHERE MY SEX DRIVE WENT???? So we put two and two together in the time frame is seemed to have been "lost" in, and we came up with YAZ. Thats not why I ended up on this site at 1am though...
As we were lying in bed, I got sudden mild chest pains in my left side and my left arm went numb. All I have ever known about these symptoms is that you are having a heart attack! As I get outta bed Travis says "what are you googling?" Him knowing that I am a hypercondreact!
I had decided today to stop taking the pill not willing to risk my wonderful sex life and relationship. I said goodbye to my wonderful FULL C breasts :( I will keep you posted on my after side effects! Good luck to you brave women!!!

Wow. I found this site after looking up causes for lack of sex drive. I've been on Yasmin for 6 years, but never thought for a minute it had anything to do with the problems I've been having. Loss of sex drive, vaginal dryness, hair loss, mood swings (partners always gets the brunt of those), repeated bouts of chest pains (diagnosed with pleurisy recently, don't know if there is a link).
I had got to the point that I thought this is just the way I am, it never occurred to me that something else could be causing this. I can't even remember what it's like to be normal.
I already have 2 kids and don't want any more at the moment so I don't know what the solution is. Well, I haven't wanted sex for the last few years so i suppose the bloody thing has done its job in that way!
I'm just shocked, this has been a real wake up call. I'm stopping taking the evil little things as of now.

I took Yasmin for 3 years and stopped about 3 weeks ago in hopes of becoming pregnant soon. I am experiencing a rapid resting heart rate (100) and occasional mild chest pains. My blood pressure, however, is normal. I have also had a pain in my lower right abdomen below my hip bone off-and-on for a week. The first day it was sharp and lasted about 20 minutes and I thought it was ovulatory pain (and I guess it still could be). When it lingered, I thought it was my appendix, and now I'm a little confused as to what it is. It is mild and only happens for a few minutes a day. I'm just wondering if these things are all linked to the timing of stopping Yasmin. Has anyone else experienced any of these symptoms? I'm becoming paranoid about my health.

Hi, Im 24 and have hypercholesterolemia. I started Simvastatin 40mg at night about 3 weeks ago. About a week into taking it i was experiencing some mild chest pains, after a while they got worse and for the first time in my life i collapsed on the floor having a panic attack. Since then this past week has been hell, i have been constantly anxious and had several more panic attacks, have had a light weak flu like feeling in my whole chest, diarrhea, Chest pain, Weakness in muscles and pain in my left arm and a lack of apatite resulting in a loss of 5lb's. I stopped taking the pill 3 days ago after advice from a GP however the anxiety has still not gone away, nor has the lack of apatite or chest pain. I just want to go back to being myself but this horrible pill may have ruined my life!

I have just realised that some of the things like itchy feet and sometimes getting really irritable and angry which is totally not like me. Paranoid and having funny sensations in my back and chest. Always had vivid dreams. Now I think I know what it is. Singulair.
It worked wonders for my asthma no more puffers. That’s why I keep taking it
The worst thing is which i believe now must be this medication is when sometimes I run out of the stuff and not taken it for a few days. I gets strange pains in my chest and back. Feels like my lungs are being squeezed inside and mild chest pains near my heart. And weird pains in my lower back.
Going to stop taking this stuff as worried about the long term problems.
Thanks for people who have posted in this site

I was prescribed lisinopril after I underwent open heart surgery for aortic valve replacement last July. Initially I was on 40mg, and was successively reduced to 5mg, which is where I am now. Basically, my dosage would be lowered after I would start to complain about side effects (dizziness, fatigue...), which my cardiologist would attribute to my recovery -- i.e. my blood pressure would stabilize, hence the higher dosage would lower it too much). Well, now I'm down to 5mg, and I feel worse than ever. I'm dizzy all the time, I have severe aches in my joints -- particularly in my knees and elbows, stiffness in my hands, pain in my feet, extreme fatigue, weakness in my arms, shortness of breath, and mild chest pains. My cardiologist maintains that it's not the lisinopril, yet after running full bloods, my primary doctor can't find a single thing wrong with me. I tried getting off the lisinopril for a little over a week, but I didn't feel any better. So, my question is this: does anyone else feel as crappy as I do, and how long does it take to get this drug out of your system? I'm only 34 yrs old, I'm not overweight or otherwise out of shape, and this is really affecting my ability to work and to spend quality time with my wife and 10 month old son. Ugh.

Hi all! Glad to have found this site, I was starting to think I was going crazy. I am 36yr old female, started taking 12.5 mg toprol xl daily in March 2006. I had pvc's after working out in the gym and had a panic attack which sent me to the hospital twice in a week. The cardiologist prescribed the toprol and said it would help with both the panick attacks and pvc's. At first my side effects were mild chest pains, which have since gone away, but about 3 months ago, I stated experiencing dizziness and lightheadedness especially while driving or shopping, also instead of cold, I get hot easily and have had weight gain maybe 15 lbs. I have been unable to go back to the gym, I get very fatigued every time I even try to do any form of excercise. The panic attacks still come especially when I feel particularly bad from what I think are the side effects of this toprol. I am going to try to cut my dose to 12.5 mg every other day and see what happens, I will keep everyone posted.

YAZ overall has been a pretty good experience. However, I started in in about april of 2007 and have been on it for almost 2 years... however... my b/f and I had this amazing sex life of sex 2-3x a day to maybe once a week... now i have NO desire to have sex. I experience dryness... never had this problem before. I also have lots of vaginal itching after my period is over. Oh and recently I have been having some mild chest pains... wondering if maybe my potassium levels aren't sky high by now... never has been checked.
I am 21 years old and it's really hurting my relationship of 5 years... we've always valued sex... and now its not there at all!
Am making an appointment with my MD ASAP!
