My nasal allergy symptoms were no longer controlled by daily Allegra D. The doc prescribed Singulair and told me to take it at night. I asked about side effects and she said, "none". After the first dose I had mild diarrhea the next morning. After the second dose I developed a bit of a cough and had more diarrhea. I took the third dose last night and shortly after began wheezing and coughing (I do NOT have asthma). I could hardly breathe all night because of the phlegmy cough. Also felt nauseous. I don't feel sick like with a cold or anything, just can't breathe. I'm so glad I found this site! I will not be taking any more Singulair. I hope I have not caused lasting damage to my lungs. Wondering if anyone of you who had a similar reaction could tell me how long before this self-caused cough clears up?

I am a 23 year old female. Taking Clindamycin for tooth infection before having root canal. Am allergic to penicillin. I experienced stomach cramps, clay colored watery diarrhea, esophagitis, nausea and headache. Mild diarrhea also noted in 2 year old nursing toddler.

Received script for 300mg 2x per day for 10 days to treat ear infection and sever chest congestion. At the time the only side effect was sensitive skin & lots of itching, combined with a very mild diarrhea. Here is the crazy thing: now that it has been 30-40 days since I was on the antibiotic, my toe nails have grown out and you can see that it has killed the old nail in front of the new growth. My brother is a physician & he said it is weird, but not out of the question.

I am currently on a 10 day/500mg dose per day of Levaquin for an absolutely awful sinus and upper respiratory infection. I am gradually improving, maybe 10 % each day, but I have noticed general malais and an overall loss of appetite together with stomach cramps and mild diarrhea, primarily after dinner. I almost feel as if I could have mononucleosis..just tired all day with little if any gumption to do anything. Also, I have terrible pain in the bottom of my feet when I get up in the morning as well as blurred vision when I try to read. So, is it worth it? Well, ultimately, if I get rid of this infection it will be, but like with so many drugs, you have to suffer in another way to stop suffering in the first place. I'm not sure which is worse.

I have not experienced any headaches as others have (which is surprising considering I often suffer from chronic headaches), however I have experienced SEVERE stomach cramping and mild diarrhea.

I just started levoxyl, lisinopril, and lipitor this week, and I've experienced excessive sweating, and dizziness, and mild diarrhea. Couldn't tell you which medicine is causing them, but now I'm considering taking herbs, some of these side effects I'm reading about are terrible!! SOmetimes your problems are better than the ones you can start having from side effects!!!!

I am on day 4 of 7 day treatment for chlamydia. My primary symptoms are constant fatigue with irritable bowel syndrome (but only very mild diarrhea). Because of the spastic crampy bowels I feel a general achiness and weakness in my bladder/prostate area, which was far worse than any symptom of the chlamydia (which was asymptomatic). I would be interested to know how long it takes to get the body back together AFTER finishing this medicine. Thanks.

My 3 month old daughter was prescribed Omnicef for bronchiolitis. She did develop a yeast infection on her diaper area on about day 3. She has had mild diarrhea since beginning the medicine, which I expected with an antibiotic. On day 5, today, she had an episode of rust colored diarrhea, I decided to wait and look on the internet before calling the doctor since she is her regular happy self and it does not appear to be bloody. This site has been very helpful.

I've been taking doxy for a month for acne (along with benzaclin and tazorac) and have seen improvement (knock on wood..) I haven't experienced any significant side effects except occasional mild diarrhea. I take a 100 mg pill at 10 AM and 10 PM and try to dring at least a full glass of water with it as recommended. I am also very careful about not lying down within half an hour ot an hour after taking one.

I am on Biaxin for Laryngitis and an upper respiratory infection. I went to the ER because I felt I couldn't clear my chest congestion and I was miserable. He prescribed me 500mg of Biaxin twice daily. I have just taken my 4th pill. Day 2 over. I have the stomach aches like everyone talks about. They feel like im starving, but I know im not because I just ate. Strange. The taste in my mouth is disgusting no doubt. It's a metallic taste, but not too bad. I keep drinking flavored waters and sucking on candies and that helps with the taste. I have had mild diarrhea today, twice. I actually have, previous to taking this medicine, a heart racing condition known as PSVT. I take medication for it to slow my heart down and lower my blood pressure. So far, thankfully, I have had no reaction in my heart to this medication but I am worried. I will keep this updated as it seems that most people started having more problems in days 3 and 4. hmmm. I have taken the Z-pack several times, (im always sick it seems like) and have never had any problems with it. I used to take amoxicillin, but it never seems to work on me. I think my body is now resistant do to taking it so often. I also take Zoloft for anxiety, so im pretty worried, ha ha, that I might have this severe depression or anxiety attack problem a lot of people seem to be having. Ill wait and see. I called the pharmacist tonight to tell him about my stomach problems and he said (Walgreens Pharmacy) that it was not an allergic reaction and would probably be fine, but to consult my doctor just in case. I will call tomorrow and update this if I end up having any other reactions or if he prescribes me something different.
