I have been on Lisinopril for approximately 8 months. I was not warned of any specific side effects. About 6 months ago I developed a severe cough. Mainly at night, but sometimes during the day. It would come in spurts when I would cough for 1/2 hour and then nothing. I was tested for everything including valley fever, tuberculosis and a full CAT scan was done on my chest. My doctor was was unable to identify the problem as Lisinopril. Along with the cough I had a persistent mild sore throat. The cough always was related to a tickle in the back of my throat. I spoke with someone who suggested that I switch to Cozar. I have quit taking Lisinopril as of today 5/30/2006. I will post any changes in my condition.

Both times I started taking Wellbutrin XL, I developed a severe sore throat. Information indicates that one might develop a mild sore throat, but mine is terribly painful. Anyone else experience a bad sore throat?

been on welbutrin XL for 4 days now. If I feel anything at all, it's very subtle. Well I can say that I have noticed a mild sore throat since day 1. This may be unrelated however. I notice some people stating "On the 1st day, so and so, then on the 2nd day, so and so" I was under the impression that it would take a minimum of 1 to 2 weeks before any FX were noticed. I guess everybodies different though. I was 1st on Lexapro, took it for 6 weeks and it did nothing at all for me. I might as well been taking Flintstone vitamins. So 4 days ago started with the Welbutrin XL after turning down the option to go on Paxil. After all the negative horror stories I've heard about Paxil, you couldn't make me try it. I've got high hopes for the Welbutrin XL, and hope I recieve the benefit of it's use and not the hair loss and other ill FX.

I've been on Lisinopril 20mg for a week now. I have been having the hoarseness, leg cramps, tired (no energy), getting no sleep, and cough. But what worries me most is my blood pressure has dropped to what I think is TO LOW, (example: 87/60, 90/58, 96/66 89/68. I called my dr. 2 days ago and explained my concerns. They told me to cut my 20mg pill in half and we will decide what to do at my next appt. which is in a few days. Even after cutting the pill in half, my bp is still running 96/67, 98/66. Should I demand to be taken off the Lisinopril and be put on a different medication?
