Hi. I had mirena inserted about 2 months ago. It was pretty painful getting it put in and i had a lot of cramping the next few days, but i didn't take any pain meds before it either. I would highly suggest taking at least 3 ibprofen before you are scheduled to have it inserted. Anyways, I have been having to wear pantyliners every day since. I have brown milky discharge that smells terrible as well. I sometimes get very light stomach aches but that is about it. It is very nice having a birth control that you don't have to think about but, do you want to have discharge for months at a time? It is your decision. I am hoping this will stop soon! Hope this helps.

Got married about a couple years ago and went on Yasmin. First BC and as I've never had any BC did not know what to expect. I felt fine but now reading all these makes me realize that the weight gain, NO SEX DRIVE, NO VAGINAL MUCUS (have to use tons of lubrication), re-occurring thrush could be attributed to Yasmin.
I stopped Yasmin last year December as now ready for a baby, its been six months and still haven't conceived, still dry and use lubrication....and also have milky discharge from breast but not pregnant. Had an MRI scan and showed pituitary anenoma (not sure of the spelling) basically a small tumor of the pituitary glad that secretes too much prolactin in system caused by imbalance of hormones.
I'm only praying to God for healing and hoping that my body would go back to normal rather than start other medical treatment.
My advise.............. come off Yasmin, DO NOT TAKE ANY BC

Hey guys,
Been off Yasmin for a week, still having issues with anxiety, stomach and abdominal pain... I'm trying a new vitamin powder called AllOne - hope it helps... I hate feeling like this... This is kinda gross, but I'm also having this thick, milky discharge. Right when I'm getting my sex drive back too. Nice. Hope you all are hanging in there.

im 17 years old and i got my iud in 10/08 after having my first baby and it seemed to work until about 3 weeks ago when i figured out what the problem was. i gained major weight. had thyroid problems, got bad pimples ( more than the average teenager should get), lack of sex drive, brown milky discharge, bloody stool, depression, anxiety attacks, headaches, nausea, insomnia, and scariest of all, i had a seizure. GET IT OUT!!!! its not worth it.
