I have been using Yasmin for almost 10 years. Recently I have began getting migraines (never had them before), nasty vaginal discharge and an embarrassing increase in facial hair. I can somewhat deal with the migraines, but the other two symptoms are extremely irritating.
I have been to my gyno for both. She told me that the discharge was "normal" with the use of Yasmin. I don't think snotty goo coming from your vagina for a straight week before your period is "normal". She assured me that all testing came back negative and it was just something I would have to deal with. As far as the facial hair goes...I can't leave the house without standing in front of a mirror and plucking my poor chin and neck for up to an hour each day. My gyno suggested that I get laser treatment, which would be grand if SHE were paying for it.
I don't know if I want to continue taking Yasmin or not. I have ovarian cysts and used to have severe periods lasting for a week and a half at a time, and Yasmin had helped with those problems.
Has anyone else had these problems...and what are you doing for them?

Toprol is a beta blocker and so high doses will really monkey with your hormones. A beta blocker stops the action of adrenaline and tons of other body chemicals that are very necessary for certain functions that are unfortunately also controlled by the same body chemicals that cause the heart to beat very fast and blood pressure to raise. So you can expect to have symptoms that mimic hormone imbalances like hypothyroid or PMS because it all comes down to hormones.
If, however, you're getting GERD, then it means your liver is veyr much overwhelmed by all the bad foods, phony fats and pharmeceuticals you've been taking. ******
Hope that helps! :)

i was presribed xanax when i was going through a "divorce from hell", and it helped me greatly; i took maybe 1 a day, until my anxiety from the day's events "wore off", for about
a week; a bottle of 40 tab's last me about 1-1/2yrs....i only take 'em when i feel like im going to come unglued...(job lay-off, kid hit by car, etc).....my advice for those of you with daily, severe, anxiety problems is to exercise your butt off...this really alleviates your excess energy, that is stored up within your bodies.....instead of reaching in the medicine cabinet, or liquor cabinet, try running around the block, or better yet, to the nearest church....Give your problems to God; He can take the monkey off of your backs, but you've got to obey Him if you really want to make it work! Run, Walk,
do some exercise to burn up all your excess fuel! Try it!! (Gardening & mall window shopping doesnt count)..Sweat it out (literally)....go ahead, try it for a week & prove me wrong!

I have taking Lamictal 500 mg now for about 5 months. I am not sure if this is a side effect but its worth putting out there. I am starting to have severe intestinal problems. The feeling is exactly if you are lactose intolerate...bloating, painful cramps to the point of not caring if you look like a monkey on all fours. It invariably happens every day, and I don't know what to do. If this is as simple as lowering the dosage or stop taking the meds, then that I would rather than going through endless tests.
Any one with the same problems?

I was on percocet for 8-mos. for chronic joint and back pain. The Doctors never found out what the cause was and piled on the percocet. I was in heaven. It made my pain go away and I felt like the old me, happy and super friendly. I laugh now because I did not know at the time that I was on opiates. One day I was explosively mad at some issue with the kids and my wife gently whispered, "...hon, maybe it is the pills that are making you this way.". I was floored. Mt beautiful wife lovingly stripped me of all doubt that I was addicted, and that they were changing my personality. I stopped "Cold Turkey" right at that instant. It was horrible. I was in such pain! Every fiber of my being wanted to ease the pain just a bit. A week into my withdrawals (perfectly described elsewhere), the pain was gone. I remember the original pain being much worse....I was wrong. It turns out that when I got honest with myself, I could live with the pain. It was/is far better than needing to "Dose-up" before getting out of bed. I still have chronic pain, but I lost the monkey.
