What a great website....My 2 year old son has been taking singulair for about 1 month, I know that he's having nightmares, his appetite has decreased substantially, and his behavior is unusually aggressive (I thought it was bad behavior picked up from day care...) I'm really having second thoughts about this medicine. confusing...this medicine does break up the thick mucas leading to labored breathing attacks...this is worth investigating more....what to do to have ur child diagnosed and treated properly.

My 4 year old Son has had diarrhea from about the last 4 weeks... we have started some tests for Celiac disease but today it only occurred to me today that he has been on Singulair for about that time frame... after all the worry and reading these other storied Im even more convinced that it maybe the Singulair..
Im just hoping that someone might read this sometime today or the next couple of days to tell me if when they come off the singulair how long did it take for the diarrhea to pass. My son had is last tablet 2 nights ago ( so he has only been off it so far for one night. But he still has the diarrhea.. should it have started to come out of his system already.

After 5 days of taking Avelox woke up with a nasty taste in my mouth. It gets worse when I take a breath or lick my lips. It almost tastes like a metallic taste. I can even smell the taste when I breath through my nose. The taste has lasted all day. I also find myself spitting alot and not normal mucas but foamy saliva. It feels like I have some kind of nasty coating all over my teeth. Smoking makes the taste 10 times worse. I was give the 400Mg 5 day dose for bacterial bronchitis. I have had severe musle aches in legs and arms as if I had worked out for first time in years. Tips of elbows painfull if rested on. and sharp pain in left arm.

If you are taking this medicine, STOP! I took this medicine for about three months. I started to feel like I had a congestion. I cough lightly at first then into a hard cough which progressed into a hacking. My wife thought I was critically ill. I was spitting up clear congestion at work into my garbage can. This stuff is bad, I found this site and stopped taking the medicine. It took 3 week for the cough to subside. It’s been about 4 months, and I would say I am only about 98 percent back to where I started . About every 3 weeks I out of the blue start to slightly hack. I know one thing this is not a good medicine. When I started my BP was 138/109. My doctor told me to try this. Because of this medicine I could not do my job and my doctor never told me it was the medicine. When I told him he told me he didn’t think it was the medicine and prescribe some cold medicine

Doctor prescribed, but wanted to check side effects before taking it, am glad I have! Anyone else that's a smoker with mild hypertension (140/90) taking this med? Now I'm afraid of taking it because I already have a problem with coughing and post nasal drip, choking sensation, near vomiting. Also am on Celexa 60 mg for depression and anxiety and certainly don't want to take something that's going to increase my anxiety! Any others taking Lisinopril and Celexa?

wow so after reading all of these posts I now realise that its not just ME and I'm not going crazy. I just started takeing Guaifenex the other day because I have alot of mucas in my lungs and a stuffy nose due to a cold. I was a little scared to take it at first because the over the counter mucus relief medicines made me sick to my stomach but I felt as though takeing Guaifenex was my only hope to actually get sleep at night....um I was wrong. Yes my mucus completely went away for the night but I found myself up for hours watching reruns of safe by the bell. I've felt very funny not knowing why, Dizzy, nervous, panicky, talking really fast, EXTREMELY hyper. Worse then if I drank coffee. Today is my third day takeing it and unfortunately I took my next dose right before I found this website and even thought too look up anything about it. I suggest takeing it during the day if you MUST take it, but I really do not recommend it at all. Try Afrin but only use it exactly as directed or you'll get more mucas problems then you had in the first place, its over the counter and seems a little more safe.

Thumbs down on this one.

I began taking singulair on Monday, March 26th for a severe allergy/sinus condition with a chronic chough. My family Dr. prescribed a combination of Singular, Claritin and Flonase to combat my allergies or at least to make them less harsh.

Prior to beginning the regiment, I was given a Z-pac to clear up sinus infection. This was one week earlier.

I took the singular at night as instructed by my doctor. I took the Claritin and Flonase in the morning.

I was hoping that the Singular would be the one drug to help stop the annoying cough. On day 6 of the Singular I noticed my cough becomming deeper in my chest. My doctor told me that it takes about 10 days for Singular start working. By day 7 it was difficult to get a good breath between coughing episodes. I am making an appointment with my doctor to see if i should continue on this med. I also experienced some dizzyness. I will probably stop taking this due to this horrible deep cough and thickening of the mucas that is occuring.
