I have been on lipitor 10mg for about 6 mths (after reacting to lipex with severe hip pain and going off that). Am now experiencing abdominal pain, severe headaches, excruciating neck pain and to top it off a droopy eyelid and loss of extreme peripheral vision after a bout of flashing auras and fluid like waves in the outer edge of my eye. After tests my retina is not detaching so what is the cause then. My cholesterol is high when not on lipitor and am wanting to lower it without drugs. I could do with losing 10kg weight but will that bring down the cholesterol. I walk every morning for 30-40 mins. Diet is healthy, a few junk things each week but not overly so.

I have been having strange seizure like sensations in my eyes just before waking, and sometimes in the morning. I have cut my 10 mg. in half to 5 mg. and my bp has been fine, and I'd like to get off this drug all together, as I do not take well to meds. I'm trying to see if I am dehydrated, which may be causing these symptoms. I also have muscle twiches at times.
I have been on Liprinosil for almost 2 years. I also take Nexeum for severe heartburn and GERD.

I am 26 years old 5'5'' and 186lbs. I started using it on Feb. 4, 2009- not many side effects that I noticed immediately. I thought it was great for the fact I didn't have to take a pill each day. I however did experience right off the bat discomfort during sex and I wear contacts and some days they were just so dry. Normal side effets that you can read in the pamphlet I thought. During March and April I left it in for a extra day or two and resumed usage as normal after my period. During March I started to get very bad stomach cramps/burning pains in my abdomen and excessive burping. I went to the Doctor (someone new that I am in transition to be my regular doc--knows nothing about me really) he said it was just indigestion that caused the stomach pains. He put me on Omezaprole. I took it a few times and of course had side effects from that(felt like my skin was crawling). However my stomach issues went away. About 2 weeks ago I started to notice muscle twitches mostly in my legs and cramps too which I normally don't get unless I have exercised a lot. Then within the last week I have felt very withdrawn, like on autopilot, anxious, twitchy, tired, like I am not myself, severe headaches, confusion and not really knowing what to say next during conversation. I have had panic attacks and can deal with them but nothing like the ones in the last two weeks.Today at work I thought I just might freak out and go on a rage. Its passed but I still feel very touchy Iike I might cry at any moment. Normally very outgoing and adventurous. But now I don't really feel like doing anything except being alone and by myself with a phone near in case my body starts acting more bizarre. So to sum it up I came upon this website and found enough women with the same issues and side effects and enough non-medically proven reason to take the NuvaRing out. So I told my husband that that's what I am doing. He said he hasn't really noticed my mood changes. However a friend I saw the other day said I just seemed very sad and down. A side note to consider I have a identical twin sister and she doesn't have the same side effects. She and I spoke and her biggest complaint is weight gain.
