I have experienced pretty bad morning sickness during weeks 6-present. I am currently 11 weeks pregnant. I vomit regularly each morning and evening, but can make it through the day as long as I eat regularly. The night is bad, in fact, it is difficult to sleep because of the constant nausea.
I took a generic of Zofran just once and thought it was a miracle drug. My nausea stopped literally within minutes of taking the Zofran. I was so happy!
However, about 3pm the same day, I began experiencing the WORST MIGRAINE of my life. I thought I was dying. I kept thinking, I must have a brain tumor or something. It hurt to breathe. I asked my husband to call the pharmacist, my doctor, everyone because I was in so much excruciating pain.
In summary, I would advise everyone NOT TO TAKE ZOFRAN!!! If you have morning sickness, trust me, that is tough but nothing compared to the severe migraine you might develop due to the drug.

I'd like to start off by saying though many people have had some very bad reactions to this medication, that it is not a reason for it to be taken off the market. everyones body's have different reactions to different medications and while for some it may be a very negative reaction, for others it may be a very good or significant one. I'm 17 years old and currently taking Omnicef for a sinus infection. I am having side effects but the fact is a few days ago I was miserably sick, and now I am feeling significantly better. so though I am having side effects, the benefit of this medication, or at least for me, is that my sinus infection is most definitely getting better. my side effects have been gas and nausea (which I usually have regardless from GERD), bad dreams and restless sleep, and this is quite odd but fowl smelling urine and body odor. I haven't read about anyone else noticing body odor after taking it though so if someone has noticed this can you please let me know? thank you.

I have been taking the nuvaring for probably 4 years now. I had terrible side effects with the pill in terms of nasea and pms...the nuvaring elleviated these and I swore I would never try anything else. This past year, sex has been difficult, sometimes a little painful and sometimes a burning afterward...but i had thought perhaps it is just because I'm not having much sex and thought perhaps I wasn't having sex much because my husband and I are both stressed about work. People easily get under my skin but i'm not sure this is any different than my usual personality. This past week I actually had jury duty and lucky me, my period. It is rare to not go to my job and not have the nuvaring in. Surprisingly, I have seen a real difference in my mood and my desire...my husband even commented that I have been a lot of fun this week and that I really should get a new job. I'm beginning to think maybe I just need to get off the nuvaring. I just can't deal with a pill everyday and the side effects I have from that. Maybe it is time to give my system a break from hormones all together. I have been taking some kind of birth control for about 15 years now.

I am taking Levaquin for a sinus infection and have had many of the side effects as those above. I've been on it for 4 days out of a 5 day prescription. Last night was my worse night of all on it. I too had severe insomnia and until this morning, after reading these postings, did not know how to describe it, but it was like I was in a quasi zombie like mental state. It was very scary. Up to last night, I did have spurts of nasea and weird dreams. I take Cymbalta for depression, which is under control, until I started taking Levaquin. Just in these 4 days, I feel as if I have slipped back into a slight depression. I have 1 more day left and am not taking it. Unfortunately, I am allergic to all the "good" antiobiotic drugs, but will request from my doctor not to ever be prescribed Levaquin again - no matter what.
If you are reading these postings, then obviously you are concerned and possibly having these or other side effects from this drug, as I was/am. Stop taking this drug and talk to your doctor.

Hello. I was on Yasmin for two years. I had a lot of crying and emotional problems, but I never linked it to Yasmin. Then Planned Parenthood put me on Desogen, for no reason other than they were pushing Desogen that month. I developed irritability and no interest in sex so I went off pills completely for 4 months. I went back on Yasmin and OH MY GOD. Everything you guys are saying as far as headaches, nasea, and most importantly - SUICIDAL THOUGHTS! I was crying daily and screaming at everyone. I was petrified that my life was going to end. It was DEFINATELY the Yasmin. Someone else here said they went off for awhile, then when they went back on it was much WORSE. That is what happened to me. I went off and literally a WEEK later all those crazy thoughts and upset feelings left. Evaporated.
Now I'm faced with WHAT THE HELL birth control pill do I try? I've been studying all the differences by reading up on things. Isn't it too bad these stupid doctors don't care enough to really learn about birth control pills and their effects on different people before the DOSE AWAY. I might try the ring. I don't know...

My mother took Levaquin for an infection, and several hours after the dose, she develops dizziness and nasea that lasts for a day and a half. She cannot even keep water down and has muscle tightness that is un-tolerable. The doctor immediately took her off the medicine to try another antibiotic.

I had my Mirena placed 8wks after my daughter was born. I have a history of bad reactions to all bc pills on the market, the patch, the ring and a latex allergy (condoms). I didn't want my man to get snipped yet because I was on the fence about having another in a few years. So I opted for the Mirena because it seemed like the answer to all my problems.
-- By daydreaminhoney | Reply | Private Message meI "tightened up" quickly after delivery and had to be re-dilated for placement, HUGE ouchie! I bled like a stuck pig and soaked thru pads for almost a week after insertion, I called and was assured it was normal.
I had already been diagnosed with PPD at the time of placement so I assumed all the emotional side effects were because of that. Until I joined a group for Mirena users and found that emotional problems were top of the list! My family (especially my relationship with my honey) have all suffered from my short fuse, mood swings, crying jags that can last all day for no reason, anxiety (I have had 3 anxiety attacks in the last 6mnths and never had one before in my life!). I have had constant crippling fatigue and can barely get out of bed! I have a toddler and a 6yo son to keep up with and fall asleep on the couch during commercials!
I've had bloating in my midsection, frequent nausea/vomiting, headaches from hell!, constant aches/pains, shooting pain in my reproductive area, infrequent periods/spotting, acne (face AND body), thinning/dull hair. I had an incident of extremely foul-smelling, thick dark discharge that was caused by the Mirena's stopping of my cycle but not allowing the build up that was present to be flushed until a routine pap. I have also had lots of pain during intercourse followed by bleeding afterwards and that is when I can bring myself to have sex! I'm 25 and have a very low/non-existent sex drive!
My honey is finding out thru his insurance how much a vasectomy will be and if we choose to have another child, we'll just have to have it reversed. I can't live like this, I have kids, I have family and friends that I miss, I want my life back. The only way to get it back is to get the Mirena OUT of my body.
