It was nice to find this website, finally figuring out a reason why I get my yeast infections, headaches, naseau, pain on my left breast bone, fatigue, mood swings, etc... I always thought it was just me, but I'm now thinking that maybe it's not. I've had recurrent yeast infections ever since being on Yasmin (I've been on it for over 4 years) and my MD has never mentioned it could be the pill. I finally started seeing a connection between the two when I started tracking what happens to me when I miss taking the pill (ALWAYS a yeast infection). And it got me to thinking that maybe there are other women out there who suffer from the same thing. Also, at some points I actually thought I had serious mental/health problems b/c of my consistent headaches, fatigue, and mood swings. I used to be really active up until I was 19 when I started on Yasmin, and it went downhill from there. I guess I just thought that this was just my normal grown up self (I know sounds kinda lame). And I've totally experienced the lack of sex drive, it seems I'm only interested the week before I get my period or when I'm on it.

Wow am I glad I found this sight. Thought I was going crazy with this cough. I started taking Lisinopril per dr. orders in May 2005 for High BP. About a month later wife and co-workers pointed out to me that I sure cough a lot. Hall's cough drops became a daily part of my routine (10-15 a day). Just before Christmas I cought a nasty cold and while the major symtoms went away as usual within a week, the cough persisted and now consists of a sharp pain in the right lung. I have resolved to stop taking the Lisinopril as of 1/8/06 and see if the cough and pain go away. Can't get an appt. with my new Doctor for a month or more so it's self experimentation time. Wish me luck.

After suffering a week with a nasty cold I went to my doctor and was diagnosed with bronchitis. As well as an antibiotic I also got Vi-Q-Tuss for my cough. I took it as ordered at bedtime. At first I was feeling a bit tipsy, but it did stop the cough. I started to feel drowsy so I went to bed and as some have complained....I cannot sleep. I also seem to have a side effect that I haven't seen here yet....I am VERY cold. Freezing to the point of shivering uncontrollably and nothing seems to warm me. I was under many blankets, mind you I live in Florida and it is not yet cold outside despite the time of year, in fact we had the air conditioner on during the day today. But, thankfully, no nausea or vomiting. Even though these side effects are a bit bothersome, I suppose it is a small price to pay to stop that painful cough I was dealing with, so long as the effects don't worsen. I will however ask to try something different next time I need a cough medicine. There has got to be something else I can take that will work at stopping the symptoms without causing such weird adverse effects.
