Wow. I am in awe. I lost my mother June 7, 2009. I plunged into severe depression. I was already on Paxil. I started the generic brand of Wellbutrin (Bupropion) around June 30th. I noticed a big difference neurologically. But on to why I am posting... I noticed last week my hands were shaking uncontrollably and I could not stop them. I ran out of Wellbutrin and waited a couple of days to pick it up. I noticed a lot of the symptoms stopped. I have also had off the chart vertigo. I am talking extreme. I had tremors this morning and thought something was under the pillows on my sofa and jumped up to look. I then wondered if I was going crazy. I then went to my desk to work and crossed my legs on top the desk and the tremors started again.

I had thick bit fat hair naturally curly hair (which I still have most of it) . I started seeing hair everywhere in the car seat, the desk chair, on the sofa, the floor blah blah. Everywhere! If pulled on the end to check for split ends and the freaking hair came out. I notice last night that I could see through the temples of my hair and freaked out. So now what? Am I going to have to have a Donald Trump comb over. Seriously I had enough hair on my head for two people. You know how people buy really bad wigs that have way too my hair on them. They are long bushy and you know they aren't real? Yeah well that's my natural hair. So when I looked last night and saw what I saw - I totally freaked. The tremors this morning did it along with the postings here. I just flushed my entire bottle. I had only taken 3 out of it. I'm over it. I like my too big nappy natural hair. I'm going to do everything I can to get it back. My dermatologist friend told me to go to Costco and buy Men's Rogaine gel form (I'm a chick). Can I just say I'm about to put my little dog in my purse and we are off to Costco. This is really, really, really the suck. So here are the choices; do you want to be sane and bald? Or do you want to be semi-crazy and shake like a junkie? I say screw it. Hey, I have cold turkied off Ambien before (it took 14 days but do not try this at home!). I'm done with Wellbutrin. No guts, no glory.

Hi, about seven years ago I complained to my doctor of noticing a little thinning at the top of my head. They referred me to a dermatologist who thought it was female hair pattern loss. It was minimal and he said that he rarely saw it get much worse in women. He suggested minoxidil. A year later, I relocated and the doctors at the health clinic noticed my blood pressure was slightly elevated. They put me on HCTZ. I am into healthy organic eating and was disturbed by the need to be on medication. They said HCTZ was a mild diuretic and never mentioned that hair loss is associated with it. After five years on HCTZ my hair loss is severe. I have lost half my hair and it is dry and brittle, no matter what styling products I use. I had long beautiful thick glossy natural hair, but the texture of my hair has totally changed. A few days ago, frustrated by the continual hair loss, I began searching for my own answers. In my first web search, I pulled up many connections to HCTZ and hair loss, including this site. As others have said, I am mad at myself for not taking my health care into my own hands sooner. I have stopped HCTZ and my blood pressure is being controlled by diet, exercise, and drinking plenty of water. What I would like to know-- is HCTZ hair loss reversible? Are there any reputable natural solutions to hair regrowth. (And minoxidil has been disappointing.) Thanks for your comments. They have helped immensely. GG.

Hello everyone, I started taking Lisinopril about 1 year ago and the side effects started immediately. The coughing, headaches, restless nights and low sex drive were the main sides effects for me. I noticed my hair texture felt different. It felt dry and stripped as if it was over processed and I have had all natural hair for over four years. About 6 six months of taking Lisinopril I realized my hair was thinning on the right side of my head and also the same side where I have those terrible headaches when I take the medication. So I don't take it any longer. I also have Sleep Apnea which contributes to HBP. This is another reason I discontinued use of this medication. I decided that losing lbs. and taking supplements will be the first 2 steps to healing. I don't suggest anyone follow my practice, I just didn't want to take any more chances with hair loss and I can't do anything during the day until the headache is gone. I've only been exercising and taking supplements for a month. My BP is still a little high but every week it is getting closer to normal. Thanks P.M.
