60 year old male on zocor for approximately 10 years. taking 80 mg daily.
only recently (within the last 18 months) i noticed some changes going on.
first i had joint pain in my feet, both feet, same areas. the foot pain went away but then the pain traveled up to the back of my legs, behind the knee,
when the muscle or tendons attach. every time i sat for awhile, then got up, the pain was brutal. that lasted about 3 months. later the pain shot up to the joints in my hands. both hands, same place on both hands. when i rotate my thumb or move it, the knuckle area of the thumbs, same place,
hurt bad. i will confront my health care provided at the va on these issues.
she disregarded my previous remarks and said arthritis, hands and feet and perhaps i overextended something at the gym on my behind the knee issue.
i think she is wrong. recently i had a severe cold and did not take the zocor for two days. the thumb pain subsided substantially. i resumed and the pain came back. now it feels as if the pain will travel back down to behind my knees again as i am beginning to feel a pull. any others out there with these issues???

My mom-in-law has had asthma since she was a child. She had lots of trouble with wheezing, etc. She tried the natural solution: RespirActin as an adult a few years back and said that it took care of her wheezing for good. She is a nurse and did her research on this first.
I am going to try this with my son after I do a little research and talk to some natural health product experts.
I will let you all know how it works!!

I had a post on Jan 29th about my daughter's symptoms being on Singulair. We have taken her off of it, and unfortunately had croup and wheezing bad enough, about a week after that she needed medical attention. However, she is completely back to normal with her behavior, and she is not having anymore vivid dreams, just seems happier as well.We will continue to keep her off of it,but I am going to try and seek a more natural solution for her asthma.

I took Lisinopril for only 2 weeks and quit. First, I was dizzy. Then, I developed nausea, diarrhea, headaches, and a cough. Finally, confusion and depression. I intend to hunt for the answer to lower my bp, perhaps trying a natural solution.

I have had Mirena in since may 2007, 8 weeks after my second child. It was not painful to insert. I spot for about 1 month. I have been feeling tired, my nerves been bothering me, some back pain and feeling "spaced out / hard to focus". But I don't just blame it just on Mirena. All hormone birth control will have this affect.(what women have to deal with, it is a shame) Sad to say birth control is just not natural and is not good for us women. Birth control causes Candida (yeast to grow rapid). This causes all the problems we see in birth control. The problem is there is a natural solution to birth control, but the medical industry would not make money off of us. This natural form of birth control is available in India. They use Neem Oil in a cream form.Vaginal creams and suppositories made with Neem oil are quickly becoming the birth control method of choice in India. They are non-irritating and easy to use while almost 100 percent effective. It's important to note, however, that even toxic spermicides are not 100 percent effective.Neem has a proven ability to prevent pregnancy.Years of study in India by some of the world's leading scientists resulted in the development of a Neem-based polyherbal vaginal cream that has both spermicidal and anti-microbial action. The cream combines 25 per cent Neem seed extract with extracts from the soap nut and quinine hydrochloride. Based on the success of these experiments, a Neem-based contraceptive cream was developed by a pharmaceutical company in India. Tests of its effectiveness showed that it compared favorably with the chemical-based foams and gels. It was safer and easier to use, caused no irritation or discomfort, was nearly 100% effective, and was therefore used more frequently than the foam or gel spermicides. The effect does not appear to be hormonal and is considered a safe and effective alternative to other methods that use hormones.
I do know that when effective natural birth control becomes available (besides not having sex LOL not going to happen) I will be the first to run and get it. We need to advocate for natural non-hormone birth control. It is affecting the race of women. I encourage you to respond.

I have been taking Levoxyl 50 mcg for 7 weeks now. I experience tingling down my left arm and hand one day, but it hasn't returned. I did notice I wasn't as tired around the 4th week. But then started having a hard time falling asleep and it became a pattern. I was up to 2 to 4am everynight. I have kids to get up for school at 6:45am. So this was not good! My Dr. prescribed Temazepam to help me go to sleep at night. It works, but leaves me feeling tired most of the next day. I would really like to find a natural solution.

I started Zocor 3 days ago and I could tell the second day that something was not right. I have had a headache for two days, my leg hurt last night so bad that it was a pain to walk, I have had a funny taste in my mouth, my muscles ache, my ears ring worse than they normally do, my fingers and my toes hurt, I feel like I am in a daze, I have had crazy dreams the last two nights, and I am tired. Now I did not get these things after I read about them on this site. I found this site when I started looking to see if anyone was getting side effects from Zocor. I have never been on any daily medication before and I will not continue to take this drug to see if these things subside. I've had high Cholesterol for the last 20 years, that I know of, and I will take my chances with some kind of natural approach. I'm sure God has provided us with a natural solution. Tom

this is insane! I have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism and have been taking the synthroid for four years; starting at sixteen after gaining weight and losing energy- which probably resulted in teenage move- and introduction to alcohol and reefer for social acceptance. I noticed the synthroid helped with my sleepiness, but now im crying bc ive realized ive been slowly killing myself by doing what ive been told and keeping my mouth shut. I used to be more outgoing, and embraced my creativity when alone, now to find myself in a never ending cycle of anxiety, and depression triggered when solo and am def. more of a sociophobic hermit with drunk friends i see once every 2 weeks. I have noticed the hair loss, and have been getting progressively worse over the years and feel ancient. After reading this i am willing to sacrifice my energy for any extra feeling i can get out of this numb lifeless being ive digressed into to- i need to find a more natural solution for this hypothyroidism- any suggestions- we need a revolution on this, fuck synthroid!
