Neck pains symptoms and conditions

I have had the Mirena since October 2006. My Public Health Nurse suggested it...It was to help with my mood swings, such as crying all the time, and the feeling that something bad was going to happen. Once I got it,,,I noticed that I did not cry on a whim, in fact I could hardly cry! My nose and sinuses would actually hurt if I did have the need to cry...almost like my body was fighting the urge to cry. I did get neck pains and also I was not having my period for MONTHS! Until, I went to see a traditional healer and he told me that I was very sick...he gave me a special root to help me...and I bleed for 7 days straight..I felt so much better! and lost a little weight. But, the feeling of panic went away. But, now i notice that I am getting dizzy constantly, I cannot even bend to put my socks on. I walk with my hand on the wall to help me just in case I do fall....I have fallen 2 this week alone. I did have some neck pain recently, and I went to the doctor he basically told me I have fluid in my ear and it would take 6 weeks to go away...I told him about the neck pain in my neck on the right side...he never even bothered to check it. I am starting to wonder now If this birth control is even worth it...and I am seriously thinking of having it removed and then getting my tubes tied. I hope anyone out there who has the same symptoms like me would send me a message....******

Most of the "side effects" are die off responses (sometimes referred to as a herxheimer response similar to that which occurs when treating syphillis) from bartonella or borrelia. Levaquin is a potent intracellular antibiotic...where these and other organisms can hide. These can be subclinical infections where (at this time) you are not even aware you are infected. If your "side effects" start around the 3rd day into your prescription...rejoice...and suffer for a while, you are killing something really bad.

I was prescribed doxycycline 2xday for seven days. On the third day I started to feel very sick. However, it was not until the 5th/6th day that I began to suspect I was having a reaction to the antibiotic. I have never had a negative reaction to any medication ever. My symptoms started with severe nausea that lasted all day, and extreme tiredness. The symptoms continued to get worse....muscle aches, joint pains, elevated blood pressure, back & neck pains, unfocused vision, confusion, dizziness, loss of appetite, muscle tremors that woke me from sleep, depression, and anxiety. When I discussed with my doctor that I suspected it might be the medication I was dismissed and told I was developing a virus. They had prescribed this medication often with no problems. I decided to try to stick with it for two more days. That was the biggest mistake ever. I can't really describe what it did to my head, but all I could think about was that I was dying. I guess severe anxiety and paranoia. So, I finally stopped taking it.

It took three full days with no medication for my nausea and mental confusion to begin to subside. It took a few more days for most of the muscle and back pain to go away. It also took about seven days for the depression and most of the anxiety to quiet down. It is now 11 days with no medication and I still have diarrhea, and minor joint pain. I have also stopped drinking coffee because I an still a bit anxious. I have not really gotten back to my routine yet, and will probably hold off going to the gym until next week.

The most frustrating thing of all is that this medication was given to me as a preventative before a small surgery. All the symptoms I was supposed to be watching for I was having. I am sure this contributed to the anxiety.

At least most of the symptoms have gotten better, and I am hopeful that they will continue to improve. I have researched serum sickness and it says it can take 1-2 weeks for symptoms to subside, and up to several months in some cases.

Wow. I am so relieved to find people like me ! I got the IUD when my son was 6 weeks old and It has been over a year and a half. ( I cannot take regular birth control because it affects my blood pressure)I thought everything was great with it at first- no period- no fuss. but when you have a new baby you are just exhausted and your body does weird stuff anyway. Most of the symptoms I noticed started in the last 2 months. I did not contribute them to the IUD because I have hypothyroidism and I thought my meds needed adjusted. I have not been able to lose weight despite trying- VERY FRUSTRATING! I was exhausted a lot of the time- sleeping 9 or 10 hours a night and still tired. My hair was falling out but not an extreme amount- I started having dizzy spells- No Sex drive- yuck! and I had spotting for over 2 weeks. So I had my thyroid checked and all was well and all I could think was " what the heck is wrong with me?!?!?!" and I found this site. Luckily I had the IUD removed 2 days ago because we are going to try again for a baby- I have felt ok- the first day I was still tired and I had an extreme nosebleed which I have never had before?!?!?! You know I think it is just safest to use natural methods of birth control cause all this medication can really mess you up!

I was on lipitor for about 2 months. During the past few weeks, I started having terrible neck pains and headaches. The pain was so bad it created nausea. This was all associated with lower back pain.
Also, aches in my legs started.
I stopped taking lipitor about 7 days ago and I feel like a new man. It all cleared up.

My wife has been on prednisone since 4 weekas ago.She started with three tablets which is 60 mg.After a week they decresed the dosage to 2 1/2 tablets 50 mg and it went down to two tablets 40 mg a week later and so on.Here is her side effects: at first she experienced blurred vision but only for 10-30 minutes but they went away as the dose decresed,moon face(rounded and chubby) week joints in elbows, wrists, knees and feet.She eats a lot more than she used to,anxiety,
her eyes pulsate , irregular heart beats,sharp poking pains in neck legs head feet chest.Mood changes,gets mad at me over little things,back pains , neck pains,back muscle soreness ,cant sleep much,her head feels very big,walks very slow,gets tired fast,swollen feet,sensitive to light sometimes,headiques,feels pulsating through most of her veins,sensitive to noise,dizziness.She has about two more weeks on this medicine which she had to take due to narrowing of her blood vessels on brain(postpartum cerebral angiopathy) very rare complication after she gave birth to a healthy boy.My wife thinks it all happened because the anesthisyologist messed up on the epidural shot which he had to perform it three times on her.If anyone one out there knows how long does it take for her to get better please let me know it will be very appreciated. I have been taking lipitor for about 4 yrs. now. I feel fatigue, joints pains, back pains, neck pains, especially my hands and arms. I was recently hospitalized for 5 days with a bad kidney infection which lead to a blood infection. To this day my doctor can not understand what really caused it. All my bood test for kidney problems come back normal. I also have noticed loss of memory and my moods have changed dramatically. My husband and family get very frustrated with me alot lately. After reading all these emails and side effects that people are suffering from, I have decided to stop taking this medication today and see what results occur from doing so. I will get back with results.

hello, i an a 62 yr old man. i was prescribed advair 250/50 two weeks ago(3-17-04) for wheezing problems and shortness of breath. after only a week, i started to experiance bad neck pains. muscle spasms in my neck and shoulders that were real bad!(the worst i have ever felt) i had to take pain medications to be able to just hold up my head. also my legs(calves) were so tight i could hardly walk. and my bad joints got even worse. i have had a cough since starting advair. even though i stopped taking advair after only 6 days, but i still have a cough, and a sore neck, though my neck is not as bad as it was. i was never told that this(advair) was a steroid drug. i will never take another dose of this drug. it has made the last two weeks miserable!

I was 500 mg Levaquin daily for 7 days started June 12, 2003, skipped the 19th and took my last dose 20th for sinus infection. I quickly developed an irregular heart beat and chest pains. I am already am on medication for these symptoms so I continued to take the Levaquin. Toward the end of my 7days I had wild dreams at nite, moderate to extreme joint and muscle pains, neck pains, stomach pains, a rash on both my arms up to my clothing line that is still getting worse at this writing July 12th, 2003. I have dizziness, incoordnation, and my mouth clamped so hard shut one nite that it woke me up and and I chipped a tooth!
I am so exhausted that I can barely get around! It has effected everything I am doing!
I returnrd from the doctor yesterday and he agrees is severe allergic reaction to the medication. It feels more like toxicity to me. This stuff needs to be taken off the market!
