Im so happy I found this site, as I too thought I was alone in this. I really beg someone to tell me, oce they came off the pill, how long did it take for them to recover? and for their first period to come? I was on the pill for less than a year, and came off it in Feb 08. It's now Sept 08 and still have not had a single period since. My weight has been fluctuating ridiculously, and the mood swings have made me lose SO many friends its unbelievable. i don't have energy to do anything, ive it a total depression. Im begging someone to just tell me how long after they stopped did everything feel back to normal? im worrying as its been 6 months for me and still nothing!!

My 11 year old daughter has been on the 5 mg chewable singulair for almost 2 years. She has changed from the shy, sweet, I love you and will not hurt your feelings child to a moody and negative person. She has recently said "nobody loves me" and "I wonder what the world would be like without me in it". We should all show them what it is like to live with depression and file a class action law suit.

Hey everyone-
so this is my story and I would appreciate any comments. I am 21 and have been on Yasmin for a little over one year. I am SO happy I found this site!!!! First off, I had some anxiety issues before I took this pill and I dont think that it has had any affect on them. I do not have panic attacks anymore but I am in general an anxious person which never used to be. I am so angry and hard to please now and I was never like this! I snap at my boyfriend for everything and he has even told me I am a negative person and I have changed. I thought it was due to stress but I can just feel myself changing its awful.
Second, I notice I shed....ALOT. Hair sheds about 50-100 hairs a day but I just see my hair clumping in corners and all over my clothes. I cant tell if this is me being anxious but I grab my hair and I feel like it used to be thicker. I looked at pictures before the pill and it looked so beautiful and shiny now it is dull and flat.
I guess my majors issues are the hair and the awful mood swings and bitterness.
Question: Will this get better if I change pills?

I hate Mirena. I am on Lexapro and hate that too. (Not a negative person, I promise...just trying to be brief). Have gained about 20 lbs and I was already about 20 lbs overweight to begin with...
That said, I want to be drug free - no lexapro, no mirena and those hormones! Am trying to wean from lexapro right now. YUCK. This is a nightmare. DIZZY and NAUSEOUS.
Also, just wondering if anyone else had severe pain in the abdomen after getting Mirena inserted? I experienced a sharp pain in my abdomen for quite some time and assumed it had to do with the foreign object in me. I asked my doctor, but he didn't think one had anything to do wtih the other. When I say sharp pain, I mean, it felt like someone was taking a sharp object and cutting me from the inside out...
That eventually subsided, but the weight gain, the depression, and ALL of the other stuff mentioned happened to me too. I just want my life back!!! I'm SO tired...
Sigh....
