I've been on Aviane for a month now. Positive things about it, it's cleared up my face a lot, and I've gone up a cup size and my period is shorter. Negative things about it, a week before my period I was PMSing really bad. I was fighting with my boyfriend constantly and I was being a complete bitch. I've never had worse PMS in my life. I got on birth control cause I had horrific cramps and my period lasted for 7 or 8 days. I still have cramps their bad but not as bad as they used to be and my period only lasts from 3-5 days.

I started using the NR four monhts ago. In the begining things were great but then it started coming out durring sex, not just every once in a while but all of the time. I started to gain wight, have constipation problems, and very bad headaches. I was still planning on continuing using the NR but then it was decided that we wanted to try to have a baby so I stoped using the NR about a month ago. Since I have stopped using the NR I have still not had a period. I have taken 2 test and both tests have come back negitive. I called the customer service number for the ring and they are saying that this is not a side effect of the NR. The headaches ave gotten somewhat better.

My wife has been on N.R. since Nov. 06. Like other people here, her first side affect was a lost sex drive. Before she started it, she wanted sex close to every other night, shortly after starting N.R. it slowly decreased to once a week if I was lucky. Her and I both blamed it on the stress of planning and paying for our wedding. However after the wedding it only got worse. Her sex drive was gone, and her periods started to go away. Over the course of 3 months her periods went from a full week to no period at all. We took several preg. tests, and all of them were negitive. We tried calling Nuva Ring, to talk to them about the problems, but they were so sure of their product, that they told my wife she was pregnant. Well we finaly decided to just take the ring out (only 3 days after inserting a new one) and see when happened. About one week later, her period returned and her sex drive is slowly incresing. - a happy husband

I am a 44 yr. old female. I have been taking Advair for about a month. I have to say that it is wonderful that I can finally breathe but the leg cramps and constant heartburn that I have never experienced before is unreal. The weight gain is becoming an embarrassment as everyone I come in contact with comments or asks if I am pregnant. After experiencing breast secreations, I checked and that was a negitive. My 8 year old loves it that most of the time I am too hoarse to give orders. That is when I can finally pull myself out of a much needed doze or nap. The sweet me has disappeared and the wicked witch has taken over as I am always moody, depressed and tired. I too have experienced flu like symptoms, ringing in my ears and insomnia. Advair along with the Singuliar has made life on the breathing end very good, but on the health end the pits.

I have been on the "pak" for four days of the seven now. My joints & asthma are MUCH better, but at a cost. I went balistic in the license branch today! It was scary for even me. The only reason the cops were'nt called was that thank God my adult daughter was with me, and got me out of there. I was shaking and my face was blood red. This can't happen again. I have NEVER done anything remotely like that in the past. Either my doc writes me some tranqilizers, or I am off this crap! We had discussed making preg a routine drug for me {low doses of course}, but I am having second thoughts now. True, the joint pain was pretty bad, but I'll just load up on NASIDs instead, and use my inhaler religously from now on. This is the only negitive side effect I have had, BUT IT IS ENOUGH FOR ME!

I have been taking singular for just over 6 months. My symptoms are similar to the ones listed on the web site such as confusion, lack of concentration, anxiety, restlessness. The most noticable side effect is my lack of sex drive. I am 33 years old and had no such problems before. My partner suggested i stop taking the drug and since I stopped all my symptoms have vanished. We have been trying for a baby and now I am worried that if pregnant the singular might have some negitive effects on the baby. Does anybody have any information on how long it stays in the body ?
I now take Seretide 250 and it has changed my life for the better. I have been an asthmatic all my life and have never had such amazing relief from asthma since i started taking seretide. I now very rarely take my ventolin (sabutamol) inhaler and i do not feel i have to carry it around with me anymore. Doctors are too quick to administer drugs, my doctor told me singular was a clean drug !! Not when I was taking it !!!

I would like some people to tell me if what I am experiencing is normal...I was on Yasmin for 1 year, while on it I did not notice any side effects but now that I am off Yasmin I have aweful side effects such as:
mood swings
weight gain
water retention
heart burn
and not to mention i have not had my period now since stopping. I just stopped the second week of august (2005), how long should it take for my period to come back and be regular? I read some of the posts and alot of my symptoms seem to be "normal" but I have not read much about my period being off cycle. I even went as far as taking a home pregnancy test and of course it was negitive. PLEASE some advice would be helpful, my boyfriend seems to be a little more concerned than I am.

My son is 7 years old and has been taking sinulair for about 7 months now. I have notice that he is restless and has become moody and gets angry more easily. He has said to have night terrors. His has now started to sleep on my bedroom floor. I try to avoid conflict with him. For fear that he would explode. I don't know what to expect of him any more. He is very negitive and has even wished that he would die on one occasion, during an outburst of anger. Though after his mood swing we sat down and talked to him and he says he doesn't mean any of it and we asked him why he is so angry and just down right mean and he says he doesn't know and cries out of frustration.. He has never ever been like this and I hate to see my son like this. He use to be a very loveable little boy and happy little boy everyone just adored him. His grandparents have even notice the big change in him. There is a lot of things that have changed about him since he has been on this drug. My son even seems to have diffcultly concentrating. He never has before. I also know that he does not have ADHD. We have been experiencing this now for 5 months. My husband and I forgotten to give a pill now and then and just from one missed dose he was mean at the beginning and now the last 3 months when we have forgotten to give him one he seems a little bit more relaxed. He is taking it for seasonal allergies and asthma. But I will be calling his doctor monday morning.

If you guys think you had a rough time with Lipitor read this.

I sufferered a heat attack at the age of 45 without knowing I had high Cholesterol. They put me on 80mg of Lipitor for about 8 years. About 2 years ago I was suffering so much body pain they tested me for Rhumatoid and although the tests were negitive off they sent me to the Rhumatoid Doctor who said I had classic Rhumatoid. They put me on Prednazone and Methotrexate which is about the worst drugs of all.

After 2 years my live function fails so they reduce my metho and increase the pred BUT KEEP ME ON LIPITOR ???????

I took myself off Lipitor and within 4 weeks my Liver tests go back to normal BUT THEY WANT ME TO STAY ON LIPITOR ????

I said NO WAY so I started to also reduce the Pred and the Metho. I'm now down to 1 mg of pred and 5mg of Metho and NO LIPTOR.

Results so far are as follows:

Body pains have continued to reduce
Skin has started to clear up
Sleep is better
Mental upsets have reduced to almost nothing
plus plus plus

Now I don't think I have Rhumatoid and if I'm correct then there needs to be a full enquiry into the side effects if Lipitor and the doctors who diagnosed me. If I have Rhumatoide then time will tell.

Good luck everyone
Bob

The drug Singulair has had many negitive effects on people. For one thing the drug is not meant for childern under the age of fifthteen but is sometimes perscribed at a smaller dose. I myself am under the age limit, two years to be exact, but I have an adult enough mind to know from what I see in my grandmother who is taking Singulair that it is not a very positive drug. It causes her severe muscle cramps, mood swings, nightmares, weight gain and lack of sleep. I myself had taken it at risk to my own health to comfirm these symptoms. I would not recomend this drug for anyone and would suggest for those who are expirencing these side effects to discontinue the use of Singulair. I may not be a doctor, yet again I am only thirteen, but I have studied many things that the average teenagar has not.
Be Well,
