I have recently experience high bp that my doctor said was due to anxiety. He prescribed .5mg Ativan. It helped in the beginning but I have now noticed that in only 2 weeks I am having extreme anxiety when it wears off. Last night I woke out of a dead sleep in what the ER doctor said was a panic attack. He then gave me a double dose of Ativan in the ER. This sent my heart rate skyrocketing and caused a major panic attack in the hospital. I have never had these before I started Ativan. Has this happened to anyone? Now they put me on Valium to counteract the anxiety from Ativan. The ER doctor now thinks the high bp was from the new birth control pill I started. I think I am going to quit taking any meds.

I received this information and thought that it was very important so pass
it on to friends and family.
MENSTRUAL CYCLE-PLEASE READ!
PASS THIS ON EVEN IF YOU DO NOT USE IT
Recently this past week, my cousin Nicole Dishuk (age 31...newly grad
student with a doctoral degree about to start her new career as a
Doctor...) was flown into a nearby hospital, because she passed out.
They found a blot clot in her neck, and immediately took her by
helicopter to the ER to operate. by the time they removed the right half
of her skull to relieve the pressure on her brain, the clot had spread
to her brain causing severe damage.
Since last Wednesday night, she was battling. They induced her into a
Coma to stop the blood flow, They operated 3 times.. Finally, they said
there was nothing left that they could do. They found multiple clots in
the left side of her brain.. The swelling wouldn't stop, and she was on
life support.. She died at 4:30 yesterday. She leaves behind a husband,
and a 2yr old Brandon and a 4yr old Justin.. The CAUSE of DEATH - they
found
was a birth control she was taking that allows you to only have your
period 3 X's a year... They said it interrupts life's menstrual cycle, and
although it is FDA approved... shouldn't be -
So to the women in my address book - I ask you to boycott this product &
deal with your period once a month - so you can live the rest of the
months that your life has
in store for you.
*Please send this to every woman you know - you may save someone's
life...Remember, you have a CYCLE for a reason!
Fyi.

I had been on Yasmin for about a year, then switched to Loestrin, and then back to Yasmin the past 3 months. I've never felt more anxious, depressed and suicidal. Not to mention the cramps are just as bad as they were before. I have never had problems before with anxiety attacks or depression but the past 3 months I have just not felt like myself. I stress over the dumbest things and work myself up into a frenzy over things I should not even worry about. Went to my dr. today and my nurse agreed with me and said she had the same side effects when she was on Yasmin. I am not off it as of this morning and will be starting a new birth control pill. She also now has me looking into anti anxiety meds
