I am upset because neither the Pharmacist or my Doctor were any help. I thought I was going crazy. I have been on this med. for 6 or 7 weeks of which have been absolute misery. I have experienced numbness and tingling in my finger tips, headaches, yellowing of my skin, severe nausea but never throwing up, unable to eat and yet gaining weight, severe dizziness and nearly passing out, fatigue, pain in my legs when I exert myself (climbing stairs to my bedroom), unable to stay asleep at night, leg cramps, stomach pains, anxiety!!, depression, grouchy, extreme bleeding with my monthly cycle (my normal cycle is 3 to 5 days this cycle lasted 3 weeks and counting), coldness, heart palpitations, chest pains, wheezing and deep dry hacking cough. I just felt like I was going to die also thought it could possibly be menopause, low blood pressure (90/60). Because BP was low I took 1/2 the dosage day before yesterday (5mg). Yesterday I stopped taking it altogether and I was able to eat (yeah!!!!) with only minor nausea. Today my legs are not hurting as bad going up and down the stairs and my bleeding has really slowed down. I don't have a headache but I am still coughing and am having the problem with the numbness and tingling in my fingertips. I see dramatic improvement. I believe if my husband had not researched the side effects of this drug online, it would have killed me. Also he thinks that women should not take this drug because of the emotional impact on the husband! Also I am so angry that his happened to me in full sight of the medical professionals !@!@!@ I will be posting this message on as many medical sites that will take it.

I must have an angel watching over me, because for the life of me I do not know how I came across this website. I have been taking lisinopril 20mg with HCTZ12.5 for about 2 years. I have felt like I was going to have a heart attach, the bloating is driving me nuts, tired because lack of sleep and some times just plain can't sleep at night, leg cramps and now my vision seems to be getting worse. I have had all the symptoms at one time or another. I am going to be 57 years old in October and I am about 30-35 over weight. But I do walk and ride my bike and do other exercises. We just did a very small job landscaping and I could hardly walk or lift my arms for about 4 days. Muscles were so sore. And I didn't do that much to have that my muscles ache that badly. On both sides of my ankles are like little fat pockets, the doctor said it was not water retention, I now have swelling under my eyes. ??? Thank you to everyone for being posting. I need to talk to my doctor and get off this stuff. I recently forgot to take my medication on a 3 day vacation and when I got home I feeling pretty darn good, as soon as I started taking the meds for 2 or so days I was back to feeling that yuky feeling

after taking mobic for a month night leg cramps like nothing i've ever experienced consistenly started waking me from a deep sleep. my muscles were so sore, I had difficulty walking the next day. I'm not taking any for a few days, hoping this is the problem. I have degenerative/crippling arthritis in both thumbs. Dr. says, surgery is the answer. Perhaps so.

I have been taking Singulair for over a month. It's been great for my asthma, but I started noticing leg cramps in the night. I constantly have to stretch them out in the early morning hours and then they start cramping. Finally a few nights ago, I forgot to take my Singulair and NO CRAMPS. I slept like a baby. I took it again last night...leg cramps. I'm so glad that others have had this problem only because I couldn't find out what was wrong with me!

On Lipitor for about 10 years. Starting getting numbness in fingers and arms and upper shoulder. About the same time experienced weekness in arms and legs. Had to stop jogging as my legs were very weak. Lots of night leg cramps. Had an MRI which showed hernited cervical disk. Doctor had me go to rehab which accomplished nothering. Went to chiropractor who took more xray's and showed degenerative arthritis. She indicated she did not think the muscle deterioration was due to any of these problems and noted I had been on Lipitor. She was shocked that the doctor didnt consider this as the culprit. I stopped taking the Lipitor about a month ago. Have had no improvement. Doctors try to get me to take prednisone, mobic, and celebrex. I have refused them all and am going to check out natural cures. I am concerned about the fact that I read the muscle deterioration may not be reversible. It has even afftect the way I walk. I can hardley walk in a straight line. If ever stopped for an alcohol test I would probably be arrested for dui.

1st MONTH...HORRIBLE!
2nd MONTH...NOT TOO BAD..BUT NOT GREAT!
3rd MONTH...GETTING MUCH BETTER!
i am halfway through my 3rd month and i feel like there is hope! i skip the sugar pills and just go ahead and start my new pack..don't know if that helps or hurts the side effects..i figured if i'm spotting/bleeding for a week plus i really don't want to add another 5 days..
the 1st month i had every side effect possible...extremely emotional..nauseous..bleeding for weeks..dizziness..headaches.. depression..exhaustion..i had to eat tums every night..leg cramps..facial breakouts..etc.
the 2nd month i still had all of the above but just not as intense..
currently things are so much better..i still have spotting for 4-5 days..have only had to eat tums a couple of times..a few leg cramps..
the first month i hated the pill and was ready to quit but decided to give it 3 months to get used to it..so far i'm gonna stick with it..
if you're just starting the pill don't get discouraged yet..i know it's not fun but it does get better with time!
