Hash thyriod disease with vitiligo.Synthroid .88mg. 3 yrs on Synthroid.
NONE OF THESE SYMPTOMS I HAVE HAD BEFORE SYNTHROID.
SEVERE knee pain, ovary pain, joint pain, bone pain, muscle aches, fatigue, sleep apnea, weight gain, depression, anxiety, edema, FIBROMYALGIA / LUPUS SYMPTOMS,chronic inflammation, numbness in left foot, numbness in left hand, lower back pain, headaches, elbow pain, abdominal pain, brain fog,HAIR LOSS and greasy hair (always had thick curly drier hair) greasy skin, white pimple-ish areas on arms, itchy breast, lymph breast pain, increased hunger, strong food cravings, irritability, high blood sugars (I am type 1 diabetic) synthroid is known to mess with insulin in a diabetic, all my symptoms have had one test or another ran and all come back normal. I have no diabetic neuropathys..which surprised the doctors when my nerve tests came back normal...he was blaming my diabetes for most symptoms and told me to eat less in regards to weight gain.Still he brushed off my symptoms. I have asked my (endo doctor) to put me on Armour but she refused, she said I would be taking steps into the dark ages.
As if the symptoms are not enough, I am developing more.
NEW SYMPTOMS..Globus sensation (feels like constant lump in throat) eye twiches, eye floaters (not diabetic related).
I did experience twice after a higher dosage was made I felt great for the first two weeks and then like crap again.
I have oddly noticed I have crazy-fast hair growth, although my hair is thinning and not replaced..I have to shave twice a day.

Also I read a comment about one person switching synthroid to evening and said they felt better. I am pretty sure this is because doing it that way the body absorbs less synthroid. And for any one who doesn't know..synthroid takes calcium from the bones over time.
I am sure the avg person on synthroid complains to a dr about symptoms and doctors never get a clue.

I am a male 55. Started taking Altace 15 years ago. BP kept creeping up. I work outside for a living. Sometimes work is very hard, climbing mountains, carrying land surveying equipment ect. Dr started me on lisinopril 40 mg, dropped altace which I had been taking with HCT 25mg. Started getting numbness in left hand and charley horse in elbow after playing mandolin for 10 minutes. I thought this strange. Now I have muscle cramps in legs and I am wiped out when I get home. (thought must be getting old) Then other joints, shoulders, and knees stared hurting and lower back. Started thinking what has happen to me?! I am completely falling apart! That's how I found this web site. Now I wonder, snake venom sounds about right. I had started thinking I had been poisoned. Guess I'll make a DR appointment or move to an "old folks home". At least I won't have a stroke.......right?

59 year old female, overweight.

My nightmare with 40 mg. Lisinopril started 3 months ago with the dry, hacking cough which got bad enough for me to gag & left me short of breath. I stopped this med completely after reading the horror stories here. Had little effect in lowering blood pressure.

I felt achy all over - thought I had the flu or a nagging cold which wouldn't let go, yet no temperature or other symptoms. Been coughing for 3 months. Some numbness in left hand fingers. Very tired all the time with no desire to do anything.

Depression got much worse, I felt like I was dying or had cancer and just felt like I wanted to end it all to get relief.

Had moving chest pains and some pain in left arm. Bad stomach/intestinal pains with bloating, gas & cramps. Some dizziness & light-headed feelings.

Reading the posts on this forum has been a Godsend; I wish I had found it sooner. My mom just got a prescription for Lisinopril; I told her to not take it - it's poison. Referred her to this page. When I read the same symptoms over & over on these pages, this is a red flag. Only wish the doctors would take heed of this - in fact I plan to tell my doctor tomorrow to come here & read these postings - they are an eye opener and could well save others from the horror of Lisinopril.

I'm planning on weaning myself off all prescription meds and start an herbal/alternative lifestyle. I stopped this stuff cold turkey when I read all the posts here & am feeling somewhat better altho I still have the nagging cough. Truth to tell I am sick and tired of being sick and tired.

UPDATE

Hi ladies just thought I would give you an update. I have just received my ct scan results and they are fine.
I have been of Yasmin for 5 months and I have to say I am getting better yipeee, I never thought the day would come.
I had dizzeyness, heart palps, BAD anxiety (thought I had a brain tumour), numbness in left hand and arm, persistant headaches, shakes,
I know yasmin is coming out of my system because my PMT has returned, my boobs have shrunk and my spots have returned, but who cares I can handle all those over the HORRIBLE yasmin side effects.
I do get a LITTLE headache, and anxiety around ovulation and when I am having a period but it is NOTHING like what it was.

This HORRIBLE thing does work its way out of our bodies, hang in there.
Joanne.
