I am a 40 year old female. I found out 3 years ago that I have factor V. I've been hospitalized for 17 PE's. I was being treated with coumadin, plavix, lovenox. My INR will not stabilize. The doctor has now put me on 30mg. of warfarin a day. and my INR still sets at 1.2. My side effects are awful. I feel tired, week, cold, weight gain, but most of all the terrible headaches. The doctor says it has nothing to do with the warfarin. I stay depressed and now losing hair. I've taken my doctors advice and I'm going back to the cancer center where they are more experienced. I feel like I'm dying everyday and its not in my head. I do believe its side effects. And if its not moving my INR than to me it seems useless to take such a high dosage. Its a catch 22.

I have been on prednisone since I was two years old (I am now sixteen) because I have Autoimmune Hepatitis IIa. I would like to point out that there is still a life worth living being on prednisone, maybe I say this because I do not know life without it, but at least we're alive! Last year I had a flare up of the AIH and had to 6x my dose of prednisone. It sent me into a spiraling depression of constant sleep, crying, hopelessness etc....but I made it through. Just PLEASE keep hope that things would get better, because I know what it's like being on the dreaded drug better than most.

I have been taking lisinopril for about 2 1/2 years now. About 4 weeks ago I was having trouble sleeping, my legs hurt real bad and when I would wake up I would have a numbing tingling sensation in my legs and feet. Went to the doctor asked her if it could be the meds and she said she didn't think so and to continue to take it. I still continue to have problems, tired, weak muscles, hurt and a raw lump in the throat feeling. She sent me for a brain mri that showed white lesions on the brain. She said it could be from high blood pressure but said my has never really been that high or it could be MS. I am right now waiting to see a neuro dr to see if I have ms but after reading all these post I am wondering if it is the lisinopril. Has any one else had these types of symptoms?

Your OB/Gyn's are prescribing this pill to get a kick-back from the pharmaceutical rep. Loestrin 24 is TERRIBLE. I've been on bc pills for over 15 years. I was switched from Neocon (which I LOVED) to Loestrin because I'm "over 30 and I smoke". I've been on this pill for a year and just took myself off last month. I've GAINED 30 LBS! I was a size 6 when I started this medication, I'm now a size 10-12! I appreciated the fact that I had little to no periods while on this medication, but the headaches, fatigue, mood swings, and weight gain are just NOT WORTH IT! Please do yourself a favor, if you are taking this pill and have no problems then great! However, if you experience weight gain, mood swings, break-outs, etc. Tell your doctor NO MORE! They can certainly prescribe you something better and forgo their little kickbacks from the pharm reps. I have no idea how I'm going to lose this weight and I'm so depressed because this has happened to me. If you relate at all to this then save yourself from ending up where I am and get off this pill!

Hi, I am a 47 year old female and have been on Coumadin since Nov 1997 after developing several DVT's after surgery for a broken kneecap. Coumadin makes me feel like crap and the only time i have felt good in the last 11 years is when i have come off the medication for dental work or surgery. Some of my side effects are cold chills and cannot warm up, upset stomach, retaining fluid, heavy periods, added weight and my fat looks flabby even though i work out 4 times a week, lethargy, a very heavy neck on occasions and the list goes on and on. My coumadin has become very sensitive to what i put in my mouth. With "nutrients" added to so many foods i find i am now reading labels more than ever. The worst "nutrient" is Omega-3. This can cause bruising and bleeding without any help from Coumadin. Several deaths have been reported in the Australian media. I believe there is research being conducted in Norway using Kiwifruit as an alternative to Warfarin. I hope this is so and they are successful soon.

ok so all of you who are not getting the results you desire take notice: YOU HAVE NO IDEA WTF YOU ARE DOING!! before you go shoving some chemical into your body to get fats and easy results you need to get educated. Anabolics are not for amateurs. if your diet/nutrition isn't right, you are going to have problems. if your workouts aren't right, you're going to have problems. by problems i mean you are not going to get the desired and intended result and yes you could seriously screw yourself up. first thing is first you need to understand that regardless of whether or not you use anabolics if you are unwilling to put in hard work and dedication to a fitness lifestyle you will never get quality or lasting results. you are an idiot if you begin a cycle without immediate access to proper post cycle therapy meds in order to come off the stuff safely and effectively. if you are going to use a chemical you nedd to undrstand the complexities of what you are putting into your body and how to manage it in order to get the desired effects and avoid undesired effects. Winstrol has a short half life so if you're not hitting it everyday and your not stacking it with a longer acting chemical to sustain your hormone levels then you are going to experience the negative sides such as a decreased sex drive, or erectile dysfunction or depression. if you don't manage your diet to ensure you are getting the extra nutrient support that you need to keep up with the increased rate at which your body is now utilizing those nutrients then you are going to experience a litany of problems that would normally be associated with malnutrition because that is what you are; malnourished. so before you go pumping some chemicals inot your body and screwing yourself up and giving anabolics a bad rap and ruining it for the rest of us who know WTF we are doing, you need to get educated, and i mean you need to know as much if not more about this stuff than your doctor. you need to get educated in regards to your nutrition, like you need to be a F'n dietition. and you need to get educated about fitness like a flipping personal trainer level of education. if you don't take vitamin and protein supps then you need to get at it way before you ever start on anabolics so that your body is so saturated that you can taste the vitamins in your sweat and then when you do go on the anabolics you need to up your dosage to twice a day. newbies stay away from the test and the winnie and the hard core stuff. just get yourself some Dbol and some nolva take 50mg dbol and 10mg nolva twice a day, because dbol is only active for about 12 hours, so if you take it at 7 am, by 7pm you will have no sex drive and be a moody bitch. It'll keep you from flippin your lid as typically one of the sides is a sense of well being, kinda like being on prozac maybe and is a good beginner drug with only positive sexual side effects. train hard, eat right, rest right. you'll have some water weight but it should be mild with the nolva. you'll feel good and after about 6 months you need to cycle off the dbol using clomid for 8 weeks while maintaining your nolva dosage. you start out 200mg clomid everyday (split doage) and every 2 weeks decrease by 50mg until you are done with it. continuing your workouts you should be able to get you body's natural hormone back to work w/ min withdrawal symptoms. next cycle get some more dbol and nolva and up your anty to a simple blend like sustanon 250mg a week. it's a great kick the day you inject it and it is good for up to 2 weeks in your system. since it is still active for two weeks after injection there is no point in hitting your recovery cycle until two weeks after your last injection. Tren is an awesome chem to use if you can get some real tren that is. the best way to make certain you are getting good tren is to make it yourself using finaplix tabs and a home brew kit you can get on the web. the injection stings like a mother the day you take it and if you get a good heavy dose you may have a coughing fit which can be kinda scary the first couple of times, feels like you inhaled a glass of water, but the day after your injection your injection site is usually pain free and ready to work which makes it great for changing up your injection sites to control scar tissue buildup. it will get you ripped fast. you will be hungry constantly and be able to tear the hell out of your local buffet. i highly recommend stacking it with the dbol again if for nothing else but to counteract the mood and sexual sides. the sexual side effect i have encountered is simply an inability to orgasm (blue balls), which can have it's uses but believe me when you haven't had an orgasm for a month and you are giving it all you got it can get kinda frustrating. Testosterone on the other hand has a tendency to give you both a high sex drive and unfortunately oversensitive orgasm (hair trigger). so you can see that stacking test with tren will make you girl or girls very happy. anyway that is all i am giving you jokers. i leave you with this thought: think about getting your head out of your ass before you go sticking a needle in it.

I am a 33 yr old male with Cystic Fibrosis. I started prednisone in 2006 and as of 2009 i have never been off of it.This drug has destroyed my body. I was under weight when i started, at 130 lbs. I am 5'9'' so i admit that was thin, but know i am at 170 lbs. This has had an effect on my relationship with my girlfriend since i met here when i started taking it. It may actually help me breathe better, but I am not sure. I have decided to stop it myself. I will do so slowly, but i am sick of the way i look and feel. This may sound silly to some but i just hate being in this state. I look like a pregnant woman playing a trumpet. I wonder how long it will take me to look like me again? Good luck to all of you. BK.

Hello Ladies,
I first posted my story in 2005, but check in now and then to remind other poor sufferers.
The first year or so on Yasmin was free of any noticeable side effects then out of no where my whole life changed, I had vertigo, became severely depressed, very anxious, panic attacks, suicidal thoughts...NONE of these symptoms had I ever experienced before in my life...I was always the 'glass half full' girl.
No one knew what was wrong with me, and my family were desperate. One day I found this website and it saved my life. I realized that it was Yasmin that was destroying me. I immediately stopped it (although now am told that finishing the pack would have been optimal)...my depression and panic attacks stopped within days. It was like a dark cloud lifted. Let me be honest though, it was a long road to feel 100%...the first few months my anxiety seemed to get worse before it got better, according to my cycle. The light at the end of the tunnel is that YOU DO GET BETTER. I have been there when you wonder if the 'old you' will ever return....you do.
I recommend you eat a healthy diet, eliminate caffeine and white sugar, and get all your hormone levels checked...including your thyroid and adrenals. This pill is poison and depletes your body of all the necessary vitamins and nutrients, and completely destabilizes your hormonal balances.
Each month you will be closer to complete healing. I stress that everyone is different and you may not take as long as me to recover, but take heart if it is taking longer than you expected.
This is a temporary state of mind. It is not the real you.
Take care xx

Bobby you are so right "BIG Pharama" and thank you for your well researched comments that you post.
BUT let's not forget big pharma whom I do hate over this issue does state a lot of the adverse side effects on the labels.
SO MR and MRS DOCTOR why don't you read the instructions and advise us of what to watch out for. I told my doctor over a 3 year period of leg cramps that made me squeal and physically dropped me, I also told him over 3 years that my swimming speed overnight dropped by 25% which I now know is a dangerous condition called loss of muscle power. In the end I went to him knowing I was dying, I could only shuffle not walk straight and my whole body was hunched like an ape, people in the street were looking at me. My speech was slurry. This clown who was previously highly respected and revered by myself and wife asked me if I had a low pain threshold, he stood up behind his desk imitated my ape like shuffle then told me to stand up and walk straight. So in my mind there are 2 very clear issues.
1) The big pharma criminal scam.
2) The doctors failing to be safe, read instructions and think for themselves.
I'm in New Zealand a couple of months ago a 69 yr old fellow in Australia with an axe chopped up his wife and grandchildren killing them. A neighbor said they were an ordinary family and the man had become deeply withdrawn.
I stopped a car in the middle of the street and attacked it with my walking stick, I heard "voices" and stalked my house at night with an axe in my hand.
Go to space doctor DOT net and type in Allen Woodley suicide. There are 3 examples here where people lost their minds and took their own lives through statins.
We the "small" people have to originally put the pressure and file the complaints against the doctors then they can resist the pharmas.
No I am getting my faculties back make no mistake I will be filing a police complaint of criminal negligence.
Get the instructions and front the doctor after all he/she is the "retailer" and they can take it up with their "wholesaler"
These b#$%^&&ds are not only wrecking us but they are demonstrably negligently and criminally wrecking the lives of society's grandparents whose golden years we must protect.
Incidentally when I asked my doctor in January for an apology he rammed his bunched fist in my face in his surgery and said how dare you doubt my ability as a doctor. Not bad some of these clowns.
Then of course as we who have been forced to research ourselves we all now know that cholesterol and elevated cholesterol as we get older is absolutely essential for longevity.
These practitioners are totally unbelievable.

I have been on Zoloft for about 8 months. I began taking it for anxiety, depression, panic attacks, and eating issues. Since I have been on it, my eating issues have gotten a lot worse. I began binging, something I've never done before. I have racing thoughts and feel like I am just floating through life. My weight has gone from about 120 to 155. I am not happy, and am considering coming off of the medication. Has anyone else noticed they have not been able to control their eating while on Zoloft? However, my anxiety did subside.

I switched from Yaz to Loestrin 2 weeks ago, On day 11 I experienced spotting, now its full on breakthrough bleeding like a normal period. It is now day 15/ At night it tends to get light and then mid day its very heavy w/ lots of cramping. In the morning I don't want to get up cause the cramps hurt. I never experienced problems on Yaz. No weight gain, I only would get cramps and do to the increased level of potassium yaz causes my doctor didn't like me taking too much midol, etc on Yaz. So I switch to Loestrin. I was coming on here to see how long the breakthrough bleeding generally lasted....looks like it ranges. Hopefully I'll luck out and it will stop soon!!!! But some positives...I was experiencing some nausea daily before the switch to this pill, that has now stopped, and I haven't experienced any weight gain or moodiness as others have described.

This is the worst drug I've ever been on. This has totally destroyed my life, I took it for 8 years, in which time I felt severely depressed (much worse than the depression it was meant to be treating), irrational and no sex drive whatsoever. I stopped taking it 2 years ago and have extreme withdrawal symptoms for months on end, feeling nauseous, depressed etc and now that I have stopped my body has still not recovered from the side effects. I feel that if I had never been prescribed this horrific drug my life would not be the misery it is today.

On October 5th 2007 I experienced auditory hallucinations but their different than the others. I hear my thoughts directly outside of my head and they repeat the thought continuously until another thought happens. Sometimes their are thoughts that I have previously thought of and they won't go away. It starts from the moment I wake up in the morning until I go to sleep in the evening. Sometimes they sing like a choir and sometimes they talk my thoughts. Children's, women, men, and one old man. Sometimes it's a mechanical voice. I started taking Lamicatal in August. I started with 25 mg. for two weeks. Then I increased it to 50mg for two weeks. Then I increased it to 75 mg for two weeks. Then I increased it to 100mg for two weeks. Then I increased it to 125mg and I took this for one week and that's when these auditory hallucinations got worse. Now I only take 50mg and the auditory hallucinations will not go away yet. Before I started taking Lamictal I was on Cymbalta 20mg. I needed to stop taking this medication as that it caused abdominal pains, severe headaches, nausea, I started hearing other peoples thoughts and conversations. I was only Cymbalta for one year. I never was able to hear peoples thoughts before taking Cymbalta and I never heard hallucinations before taking Lamictal. Years ago I was taking Paxil 20mg and this medication increased the abstract visual dreaming and the zoning out. The reason I started taking Lamicatal was that in the evening while I was sleeping I would sometimes get startled in the middle of the night with abstract visual dreaming and it hurt my head. Also I was zoning out occasionally during the day. Kind of like daydreaming but no visual dreams. Lamicatal did stop this but this side effect is driving me insane.

I have been on Coumadin for about 2 months now after surviving a cerebral sinus venous thrombosis (blood clot on my brain - akin to a stroke). I am s 34 yo female who races triathlons and leads a very active healthy lifestyle. My side effects seem to be mild compared to what I read of others. I am on 5mg/day, except 1 day a week I take 10mg. My INR has been pretty stable. The side effects I notice are mild forgetfulness which I am hoping goes away as I start my 3rd year of law school next week! I also had some weird skin peeling on my hands, but that has subsided. I seem to urinate more often than normal and soda pop tastes weird to me now. Anyone else experience the frequent urination and/or taste issues?
Thanks!
Dana :)

I,as of almost two weeks ago, went off Yasmin. I have been on several different birth controls over the past 7 years. Yasmin being the latest. Overall, I think the pill is not healthy!!! I have had side effects from most pills I have been on, nothing major, but a definite lack in sex drive (which of course drives my husband CRAZY)...We are not planning on having kids so I do think it is imp. to find an alternative method, though I never intend to get back on any hormone related drug. My breasts have undoubtedly grown, which wasn't a bad thing @ first but now really is somewhat frustrating...going from a small C to a DD.
I guess I just miss being what I know of as my old self, and want my body to be back to normal. Recently, a woman in my building and I were talking about BCP's. She has been on them for just as long as I, and is studying to be a doctor. In her opinion, after going through 2 years of med. school thus far, BCP's are NOT a good thing. So I obviously have taken her opinion into account.
I do, however, take daily supplements, which I hope bring somewhat of a balance to my body. All I know is that being on the Pill makes it hard for your body to digest and absorb all the nutrients it should, which to me is pretty scary!!!

In 2002, my doctor prescribe Avalox after two, ten day doses of Levaquin didn't seem to work for a sinus infection. I was very tired, swollen, vomiting and unable to urinate. At the hospital tests determined that my blood sugar was out of control, as was my blood pressure. I had excess potassium and several other nutrients were depleted from my body. It felt as if bugs were inside my skin and my mouth was very dry.
I stayed in the hospital 12 days because my kidneys had shut down. I was put on dialysis. My new doctor says that my kidneys are still sick. I have excess protein. Normal levels are 17 and mine are about ten times higher. I have to take a pill to protect my kidneys every day.
I have learned a lot about natural medicine and have improved my health. It took a several months and painful biopsies before the experts determined the cause. It was a combination of the two drugs.
