I noticed I didn't put my side effects. They are "Charlie horses" or leg cramps, I don't eat like I use to, back pain, tingling shoulders, neck pain, bloating out of this world, chest pains, and heart palpations. The bad thing is I called my local health unit and they told me to continue taking the pill. What should I do?

Hey, has anyone experienced any other pains other than abdominal and migraines? I have just begun to get very bad pains in my upper chest area(only on the right side) that start at the bottom of my jaw bone down to the top of my abdomen and all throughout my back.. has anyone else felt this way? I'm deff extremely moody, and the migraines can sometimes last for days on end. I also started bleeding in my second week, but as soon as I started the new pack, the bleeding stopped so I'm thinking it's regulating and also keeping the Endo in control... But these chest pains are awful and I feel like sometimes I don't want to do anything strenuous due to being scared I might hurt myself - help?

I've been taking doxycycline for a couple od years for rosacea with no ill side effects other than sun sensitivity. But last week I woke up in the middle of the night with acid reflux-like symptoms that have gotten worse by the day. Now I have sharp pains in my chest every few minutes, nausea, dizziness, blurred vision. 2 different doctors suspect doxycycline, saying its notorious for esophagusitis. It is too painful to eat or drink. Has anyone else had such serious and painful side effects?

My mom was on Lipitor for 2 yrs and chose to get off of it. Several weeks ago she got increasingly week in her legs and arms to where now she cannot walk. I have her in a wheelchair and seeing several doctors. The most recent Dr seems to be very dedicated. She's had so many tests and it is discouraging. They are not sure but think she has dermatomyositis. Her legs are with sores which look like a bad case od dermatititis. Is there any cure ahead? What do you recommend we do next? Sr. Therese Ann Ridge, her daughter

I am on my 10th day on Neurontin at 300mg OD for a severe cervical muscle pain, the pain did go away but... at first the only noticeable side effects were drowsiness especially in the AM, loss of coordination. But a few days later, the numbness on my lower extremities was noticed as well as moderate to severe headache more on the frontal area and arthralgia (joint pains). I also had episodes of irregular heart beats so I had to be put on Betablocker. The dosage was not that big, but anyway, patient's response varies individually. This will be my last day of Neurontin. I hope my body will eliminate all the traces of this drug.

i was on prednazone until i was 5 years od. in addition to daily antibiotics (penicillin) and other concotions for severe asthma and allergies. i am now 33, and in deteriorating mental health. anxiety, depression, mood swings, you name it. my fiancee leaving has awakened me to how bad it is getting (not violent, but certainly extreme anger, rage, frustration) and i am tired of living with it. counseling is a start but i'm wondering if anyone has any info regarding long term psychological affects of taking prednisone for an extended period, especially during childhood. thank you for any info

After falling on my right rib cage, tearing muscle tissue, I was precribed a 5mg dose- 1-3 times daily.
Usually, I only needed to take one during the night, when the pain was worst. (Took ibuprofen during the day -due to the dizziness, drowsiness effects of flexeril).
However, I noted that each morning after I took the flexeril - I woke up like "a bear with a sore head" to quote my wife's phrase. Free -floating hostility, irritabililty - snapping at every minor thing and every one. The effects sometimes taking the whole morning to wear off.
Has anyone else noticed such 'psychological' side effects? I am sure they were attached to the flexeril, since once I'd stopped taking it, the 'bearishness' and chronic distemper creased.
Note: I have been historically a 'drug-sensitive' person, and perhaps even at the 5 mg dose, I was OD'ing. That is one theory anyway.

My 14 year-od son was on Singulair for approx. two months. During that time he lost interest in activities he had enjoyed and seemed angry most of the time. He was constantly moving and was hard to communicate with because he seemed unable to focus. He also started having nightmares. I attributed these changes to puberty. However, I took him off Singulair about a week ago. Almost immediately his behavior changed. He is back to his old self. He is calmer, happier, more focused and enjoying activities again. Unfortunately, while he was on Singulair, he was nearly free of allergy symptoms for the first time since he was two years old. He has used Rhinocort, Clariton and Zyrtec. He is now back on Clariton.
