Well I'm not sure if it's a side effect or not yet, still trying to research it. I had the mirena put in on Friday the 23rd and on Monday when i went work and went to go do my morning pumping session i got hardly NOTHING, i went from just the Thursday before getting 18 ozs to Monday barely getting 10 ozs. It says that it's not suppose to interfere with nursing but i have no other explanation for it. I already take supplements to increase milk supply so theres nothing else i can really do besides have it taken out and hope that, that was it. anyone else have this side effect? please let me know!

I've been on the fentanyl patch for almost 3 years. I started on the 25 patch, then went up to the 50. Now I've weaned myself back down to the 25 patch. I was put on it for chronic back pain caused from a car accident.
I'm determined to get off this drug, so any and all suggestions are welcome!
In the last few months I've been experiencing some odd side effects that seem to be becoming worse by the day. Firstly, it seems like I can feel the effects of the patch more so, like when I first started using it. I also started experiencing nocturnal problems, my legs in particular felt like they were burning up and the muscles were really tight. If I stretched them it only seemed to worsen the problem. The only solution, weirdly enough, seemed to be jumping into the tub for a half hour.
In the last couple of weeks I have been experiencing MY FULL BODY HEATING in the middle of the night, as though it's the middle of summer in the middle of a big heatwave. I move around on the sheets and try to find a cool spot. I manage to sleep for only minutes at a time. For awhile this was only happening the second day with the patch (I only wear it two days at a time). Now it's the first and second. It's disrupting my sleep and I'm exhausted. My doctor gave me some sleeping pills which worked rather well but now I've run out and I really don't want to start depending on another drug.
I NEVER should have started on this drug and though it does work and work very well for chronic pain, I still highly recommend finding any other option out there for dealing with your pain. The withdrawal effects are horrendous. The first time I went through withdrawal I could not believe how terrible the symptoms were. Vomiting, diarreah (never could spell that one right, lol), and the pain was amplified times 100. My Doctor seems to not understand how scary it is to even contemplate getting off this drug, the withdrawal is that scary!
I managed to get down a patch size by cutting a tiny sliver of the plastic backing on the patch (NOT THE PATCH ITSELF!!!! The backing that you remove!) and sticking it on the patch before transferring the patch to my skin, so in essence, I was blocking out part of the patch and just made the plastic a little bigger until I had finally blocked out half the patch at which time I went down to the 25 patch with zero side effects.
I'm on percocet for the fallout pain and take up to 8 per day, although some days I can take as little as 3. After I'm off the patch I'm determined to get off of this drug as well and learn to manage my pain in a different way.

I've been on this drug for almost two weeks. About one week in I noticed my ankles were swelling. They look like an egg has been cut in half and applied to each side. I rarely have any swelling. It's not painful but looks bizarre. I've also been having tingling/numbness on the bottom of my feet - mostly the ball of my foot and up into my toes. In addition I'm having tingling in my forearms and hands, also my thighs, and a bit in my buttocks. It's bizarre. At first I just thought I'd pulled a muscle somewhere but as it has progressed I've decided it must be associated with the doxycycline. I have two more pills left and I'm hoping everything subsides once I'm done with it. The only painful thing was a neck crick, which I'm not sure was associated with the drug, but could have been. Also, I've had charlie horses in my legs probably a half dozen times since I've been on it. I haven't had one in probably 10 years prior to this. I've never noticed this kind of side effect with a drug. It has certainly cleared up the infection that wouldn't go away and as long as all these side effects go away it was worth it - no question - but these are odd side effects.

Hey everyone. Well I have found this blog to be pretty helpful at least to make me feel like I'm not the only one w/ these odd side effects. I have been on NuvaRing for 3 months now. I chose to do the "3 months" continuous ring and with this being the 3rd month to remove the ring, I had the WORST cramps in my life. I felt like I was having labor pains. For the most part NuvaRing has been good. I like that I don't have to remember to take a pill everyday and freak out if I forget. My main symptoms are constant discharge with some what of an odd smell, earlier this week I experienced intense breast tenderness and some discharge from my nipple(which I did freak out about, thinking I was pregnant),I noticed some dizzy spells and head aches here and there but for the most part those are gone. My boobs seem to have gotten bigger, probably half a cup size (yea).
Over all I am pleased with NuvaRing, I think I will just have to monitor my side effects to see if they are constant problem.

I have taken Geodon for a few years and thought the drug worked well. I had less psychotic ideation. The dosage has increase slowly over the years and I felt even better when I went from 3 60 mg pills per day to 3 80 mg pills per day. I also take Concerta 52 mg, Wellbutrin XL 270 mg, Klonopin 20 mg at night, Claritin D, fish oil, flax seed oil. The only odd side effects are a diminished orgasm and cold chills in my chest. The cold chills have subsided since I increased to 240 mg per day. I seem to be very dependent on Geodon because if I am late on a dosage, I feel miserable. My memory is not very good and I used to have an excellent memory. Most of the comments I read have been negative. I believe that overall, my experience with Geodon has been good.

I thought I was experiencing odd side effects, but after finding this site I realize I'm not the only one. Food didn't taste like it should, tongue very sensitive, can't even gargle. Nausea and fatigue. Does this med even work?

Hello ladies...I just started taking Yasmin a few days ago and I am already experiencing some odd side effects. The first couple days I had some light nausea, which quickly passed. However, I am experiencing lower abdominal pain (kind of like light cramps) and also lower back pain. In addition, I have less of an appetite. If anyone else has experienced the crampy kind of pains from this, please let me know. This is the third birth control I have been on but never experienced this before. Thank you!

I belive that there is a thread in here about someone who had a stroke for yasmin. It was from a lady who was from another site. I also heard of a 19 year old girl who had a small heart attack wich was linked to yasmin. I would sugest that you stop taking this pill asap if you have any odd side effects!!!!

I went on Lisinopril when the VA quack doctors noticed my high blood pressure. I tried to read the many pages of side effects but never noticed the coughing one. What a wild ride this pill has had me on, many times I have hacked up my guts outside of my car.
That Cough is just crazy, it never goes away. It has been like having a year-round cold. I told my VA doc and they changed it to include a water pill and later to be a solo Lisinopril added dose pill.
I should have known that there was a catch when the VA just gives me these pills like candy each time I am there. LOL
One of the odd side effects I have noticed is a decreased on non exsistent sex drive. Even Viagra which the VA only gives out 3 pills every three months has little or no effect when I am using Lisinopril.
Thank God for this website, I am going cold turkey off this strange drug. I still have the cough after one week with some headaches but I am starting to feel better.

I had taken Yasmin for almost two years, and stopped about 6 weeks ago. Reading the postings on this site really opened my eyes. When you ask your doctor if these odd side effects could be from Yasmin, they act stunned that you could even think such a thing...it's supposed to be the new "miracle drug" they say.
Looking back, I can now accurately target just what Yasmin brought to my life since these side effects have disappeared ever since I stopped this awful pill. After about 6 months on Yasmin I began having SEVERE anxiety attacks -- so bad that I was put on medication and wondered what was wrong with me. I was depressed...a level of depression that can almost not be put into words...along with mood swings that made my friends think that I was defiitely losing it. I had foot cramps regularly, acne, shortness of breath and utter exhaustion 24/7. These are the bad things.
On the only good note, my periods were light, pain-free and wonderful. That was why I stayed on for as long as I did.
I was switched to Mircette 6 weeks ago and all of the Yasmin side effects are now gone. Unfortunately with Mircette, I began hemmoraging a week ago (2 weeks before my period was due) and am still bleeding. I now do not know what to take, or if I should go without. If anyone has advice, I would much appreciate it.
I hope that reading about my Yasmin experiences has helped you, please don't think that any of these side effects are just you...no matter what the doctor says.

have had H1N1 for a week, got AVELOX from doctor's office to help with sinusitis from flu. took one dose with plenty of water.
two hours later felt mentally confused. tried to call to daughter for help and found i could only say one word at a time, and that with difficulty. i could form the sentences in my brain just fine, but I could only "bark" one harsh sound at a time. she called the doctor. who said to not take any more of the medication and to keep an eye on me. (I'd been home in bed for a week). she sat with me, supplying many things to drink as i slowly regained my ability to speak. after 4 or 5 hours, I was able to string together several words, and by the next morning things were back to "normal".
i am notorious in my doctor's office for odd side effects. who else in the world is allergic to apples? clearly, I have to be much more careful with the latest types of antibiotics!
