I took geodon for about a week. At first I wasn't sleeping. Like for 3 days. Then something clicked and it was just the opposite. Restlessness..but weird grogginess at the very same time. I went to a movie and fell asleep within 20 minutes. I was falling asleep at odd times. I stopped cold turkey and went back on Seroquel. I hated Geodon! I couldn't sleep my days away! R. (******)

Thank You!!! I'm not the only one! I had the Mirena inserted in 2005,removed in Sept 2008. Painful cramping immediately that continued at odd times throughout time I had it. Bleeding for the first 4 months. Back Pain followed and landed me in the ER. At the ER I was told that I had blood in my urine. Antibiotics had no effect. Back pain continues today but is markedly less. Major mood swings leading to depression. Took Zolft at increasing doses with no effect. Never been prone to any of these before. Rages would come on over the littlest things. Extreme anxiety attacks leading into panic that left me completely irrational. Almost lost my husband and kids due to mood swings. Joint pain came then in my lower back and shoulders and wrists. Saw doctor, no reason ever found. Lumps showed up in my breasts that would swell and receed with my monthly cycle. Extreme sensitivity during sex with bleeding and cramping after. Cysts on my face and large acne bumps on my back that were so painful to the touch i could not even wear a bra. These spots took weeks to go away. Headaches that left me sick and weak on the couch seeing spots. Dr's insisted these symptoms were not related to my birth control.I had tons of fatigue but chalked that up to the depression. I also started having a lot of trouble with dryness in all of my mucus membranes. Even my eyes hurt. Over and over saw many dr's never could find what was wrong. This birth control nearly ruined my life and cost me three important years with my kids that i should have been at the top of my game. I have girlfriends who have received the mirena with almost exactly the same progression as me. I feel deceived by the listings in the information pamplets I received. I expected bleeding and slighter periods but never did they list these symptoms. I even looked at their website before I received it and they are not listed there either. I even had an argument with my gyno about having it removed because he knew of none of these side effects. I have seen a significant change since the removal. Mood swings down, energy back up. Kids say I'm like a whole new mom. To those ladies interested..contact K. in Texas to find out information about a class action law suit being filed.****** Don't let anyone else be hurt by this product. Who knows how long this is going to negatively affect our bodies?

When I started taking it I suddenly started to fall asleep at odd times.Falling asleep in mid-sentence, when I would just sit down during the day, dizzy, disoriented. After I stopped, I quit doing that.

I took Levaquin for recurring sinus infection - my doctor prescribed 3 different series. By the 3rd prescription I had developed severe joint pain, mild depression, rapid heart beat and chest pains. Blood tests showed that my cardiac risk factor was elevated. I have been off of the medication for over 6 weeks, I am taking nutritional and mineral supplements but still experiencing joint and tendon pain throughout my body. While I have exercised all of my life just walking is painful. My tendons 'pop' at odd times and are very painful. I also have nerve pain/spasms that randomly shoot through my joints.

I'm 36 and I've been on Yasmin for 2 years for my hormone imbalance and POF, and have never experienced anything I've read on these posts being on it. I lost weight on it, my mood swings went away, my skin never broke out and I was able to have periods again. Yasmin made me feel great.

I've been off it for 4 weeks due to a medical ins. issue and I'm starting to have cronic fatigue problems where I can't fight falling asleep at odd times of the day, my period wont start, I had some really bad bouts of depression, I get dizzy easy and my hair started falling out more than usual having long hair.

I had my thyroid checked and everything is fine. I'm not on any other meds, nor do I have any other health problems.

Whoa, I see I'm not alone. I'm so sorry you are going through such horrible stuff, ladies. And although I would never wish these side effects on my worst enemy, it's comforting to know that I'm not alone. :-) (I know you know what I mean.)

And this confirms what I had been suspecting for months now - that Yasmin b/c pill I've been taking for over a year is the culprit!!

My side effects since taking Yasmin have been:

severe anxiety attacks
frayed nerves
mood swings / easily irritated
*extreme* upper abdominal bloating
weight gain
baaaad diarrhea
gas
nausea
loss of appetite (but bad cravings for junk at odd times)
vaginal dryness
decreased libido

I'm going off the pill as of TODAY.

> 13. Nasal passages constantly dripping

> 15. Back of right knee sore to touch the skin (apparently related to the vericose vein)
> 16. Sweating at night (waking up wet and having to change clothes multiple
> times)
> 17. Sweating and cold spells at odd times during the day and night
> 18. Heart racing (over 100 beats per minute at rest day and night)
> 19. Back of neck/head sore to the touch

> 21. Some insomnia - yet falling into coma-like sleep in evenings

Number 13 was the only one my doctor couldn't attribute directly to Prednisone.

Today I can add another to my list of side effects. My feet and ankles have swollen up huge.

A girl in the store yesterday said I looked very tired and unwell. People at work notice lots of the symptoms.

All this because of an acute asthma attack caused by other people smoking.

I've reduce the dosage by 5mg today and yesterday down from 50mg to 45mg and today I'm having a harder time breathing. Where does this all end?

It's all very depressing indeed.

My 2.5 year old son just started taking singulair a week ago. He has had problems with allergies since he was about 6 months old. He has been on Zyrtec since then. This spring the Zyrtec just didn't seem to be doing a very good job supressing his allergies plus with a higher dose of Zyerc it made him very tired and irratable. So I brought him in and was perscribed Singulair for him. First couple of days everything was fine. By the third day he started throwing up in the A.M. He hasen't had an appitite since then. It's been five days. Also, after giving him the medicine at night he coughs and coughs while falling asleep. Also, his sleep pattern is very random. He has started falling asleep at odd times of the day. He then can't sleep until 12-1 A.M. He sleeps until very late hours in the morning then. He also has appeared very pale with dark circles under his eyes. Finally last night while I was at work I got a phone call from his daycare. He had broken out in a rash and was very itchy. The rash covered his face, behind his ears, accross his shoulders, and down is neck and chest. This was a very simulair rash to what had happened when he was given sulfa meds. I immediatly said to not give him the singulair that night and to give him Benadryl. This morning the rash has subsided and after reading this page I have called our doctor and have got a referance to an Allery specialist. I do know that he will not be taking Singulair anymore.

I have been on Yasmin for two months now and have gained eight pounds, constantly feel bloated and puffy, and have turned into one big raging hormone. My mood swings are wide and unpredictable and I find myself crying at odd times for no reason at all. Sometimes I feel a rush of anxiety and feel completely out-of-control when things are perfectly fine. Everyone thinks I'm just being moody, but I wasn't like this a few months ago. Furthermore, I'm always hungry and cannot stop eating. I'd feel better if I was pregnant! This pill is definitely not worth the side effects.

I have been coming off of yasmin and for the past 4 days I have been bleeding very heavily and have been crying for no reason at all every day at odd times. I quit taking it on Monday. It has been a real pain and I hate crying and my boyfriend has no idea whats wrong with me. Also my chest size has grown a whole size larger and I hate it! I haven't heard what anybody's side effects are coming off of it but those are mine.
