oh yea...i forgot to mention dry eyes and a hacking cough that was severe but has since gone away, really bad pain in legs, elbows and joints and toes that feel broken to the point that i recently had to get on pain meds, over counter meds didn't do the job. the more i read about lisinopril the more i'm convinced to start a half dose tonight. i'm going to experiment by tapering myself off and if i live through it i'll let you all know if the side effects leave.

I JUST started Loestrin 24 Fe (day one) and have been reading many articles and websites (anything from the literature in the research journals to the Mayo Clinic posts). I have just read through this entire site and took in all the feedback from the women who have shared the side effects. I have NEVER taken BC until now. I am trying it to keep monthly bleeding and mood swings to a minimum. BUT, I see some serious side effects (depression, acne, weight gain) - these seem worse than just dealing with the monthly symptoms and taking some pain relievers.

Should I STOP? Any advice from veteran birth control users?

hiya all! silke! flowerbabies!

i hope every one is doing ok.

i have now been of that evil pill for about 8 months.

flowerbabies
i too have that muscle weakness, its so awful, i cant say that i have it just one place though its sometimes in my left arm but really and truly its in my whole body especially a few days before my periods, during and about 7 days after too, so as you can see its their pretty much most of the time. im sorry i cant be of more help. but if you are really worried about it please go and see a doctor to rule out anything else.

i have developed all sorts of other things recently, which are acid reflux, really bad chest pain, constant sore throat.
please help if you too have experienced any of the above.
i dont know what else to say really im so tired of feeling like this , i just want to feel normal again, it really gets me down.

please please reply

WOW. I havent read many of you with this problem, but i gained like 25 pounds in 2 years. My sex drive is at an all time low. I mean i am 20 years old and up till when i started the pill i was ALWAYS horney(well were being honest)! I have always been eisily worried and annoyed but never emotional at all. After taking this pill i began to cry-something i hadnt done since i was a baby-seriously. The worst of all was that i became parinoid of everything, constintly worried. Finally about a month ago i went to the doctor to talk to him about getting on an anti-depressant (for the side effects of yasmin, but i didnt know) and he took my blood pressure...I have always had abnormally LOW blood pressure but when he took it, it was 160/100! THAT WAS IT! i am 20 years old and about to have a heart attack! I went off it immediatly. The next day, LITERALLY THE NEXT day my blood pressure was at 110/88 and its been going down since. Obviously DO NOT TAKE THIS PILL!!
I do have a question though for any of you, and please email me the awnser if you have it...."DOES THE WEIGHT GAIN GO AWAY?! and if so how long does it take??? WILL I GO BACK TO MY NORMAL WEIGHT?? ok, thanks for listening..and GET OFF YASMIN NOW!
