My normal period arrived again , but this time about 3 days too early (30.12.06). And today it's already lasting 8 days!! And it only got a bit lighter today. I'm feeling totally drained, tired, dizzy, completely weak... I wish I finally would be as I was before this Yasmin nightmare... But it seems as if my body will need much more time as it already had to finally find its balance again...... :-(

I had a fainting spell during my gig on silvester and had foot cramps (which is not usual for me......) during standing on stage...

Anybody out there who has also such problems during their period???

Greetings
Silke

ALL MY JOINTS ARE IN PAIN ! my shoulders, my knees, my hands, every single finger, i was very dizzy on stage, and extremelly depressed on my first day of medicine, questioning everything and everyone around me. please someone tell me it's ok to stop this medicine now, i can't ruin my concerts, and i'm afraid of heing these joint problems forever after this.

Hi Sherry!!

No, the weight gain didn't ease up at all..... And I feel your pain, too!! I've been controlling my weight now for about 2 months (I therefore even bought a new digital scale which also shows the body fat you have...) and the weight even went up another 2 pounds since starts October without eating cakes and chocolate or anything else like that.... But at the moment it seems to have stopped (it didn't move for about 2 weeks now!). And believe me: I HOPE SO!!!

I'm totally caring about healthy food with less calories and how much I eat. Excercising for me is still not really possible because of the some days still upcoming muscle weakness I had been suffering from since december 2004. And even if it is not as bad as it was, I'm not able to workout or go for a walk longer than about 10 minutes a day... I hope this will get better soon (well, it already has gotten better, a few months ago I wasn't able to walk even that 10 minutes!!)....

It's so depressing to look into the mirror, see how fat you have become and not be able to do anything against it... :(

Well, in that times I try myself to remember, that it still needs time and someday everything will be ok. That's the only thing that keeps me up a little...

The next tour with my band (February 2006) I've already canceled (the second band-tour within 13 years which I'm not able to join and everything just because of this wonder drug from hell....), because I don't think that until February I will be fit enough to handle that stress and I don't feel that I will look like the old "silke" until then... I can't go on stage at all in such a shape... I would be ashamed to dead...

It's all so sad, but I have to be thankful to be still alive after all that I went through the last year...

How are you doing Sherry?? Has anything helped, yet? How about the water pills??

Best wishes and god's bless to you out there!!

Hey voicesi,

My internist is a super doctor. when I didn't get my period and I went to my gyno, he denied the fact that it's due to the bc and came up w/ all sorts of excuses. He sent my with my thyroid results to an endocronlogist. Luckily I checked w/ my internist before I spent all that time and money at the endo. He said my thyroids are perfect, and the minute i said i came off b/c he said it takes 6 months to detox-its absolutely normal how i feel and that i shouldn' take vitex but provera.
I understand you totally with the weight issue. I was also a dancer and how do you expect me to go on stage with that disfiguring-figure, excuse the pun.
I will definitely update you on how that pill is going. I have two close weddings next week and nothing fits so I'm all the more desparate. Keep posting voice, i'll definitely be back w/ an update.
Take care,
Sherry

Hi Sherry!

Your internist really says that it takes 6 months to completely clean out from bc?? OMG! The first doctor here that really tells the truth!! Most doctor's I've read or heard of say, that it only takes a few weeks to detox from the chemical hormones... Well, however, I never believed this b/c my I'm afraid my experience told me something different!!

So I think it's no miracle, that some women write, it took them about a year to feel totally back to normal!! And I feel the same way, too. Much things have gotten much better after Yasmin but I'm not totally back to a healthy and solid, positive person, like I was before this Yasmin nightmare!! There's still a feeling like a was in a rollercoaster, every day something different, one day I'm pretty fine, the other day I think I can't go on like this anymore...

Would be so good to hear, if this water pill is helping you against the bloating/water retention!! I'm really desperate about this too, as I went up a whole size since getting off Yasmin, and not in a few months but in a few WEEKS without eating more than before!! :( As I'm a singer in my freetime (well, unfortunately wasn't on stage because my Yasmin illness for about 8 months now!!) I don't know how I could go on a stage again with such a "figure"... :(

I'm just still hoping, that the water retention will go away slowly, just like all of the other withdrawal effects of this nightmare pill. And perhaps everything will be fine again, when my cycle is finally back to normal some day...

Ok, all the best to you and everyone please keep us updated about your experiences with or without (after) Yasmin. It really helps and I fear sometimes it's the only thing that can help through all this torture!!
