Out cold symptoms and conditions

My 2 year old daughter was recently prescribed this medication. She has been having nightmares every night & I give it to her in the morning after breakfast. She will wake up screaming her head off & it often takes over an hour to get her calmed down enough to go back to sleep. But when she does go to sleep, she's out cold for several hours. She's also started hitting & being very violent. At first I thought it was because she couldn't tell us what she wanted, but its been getting worse & worse everyday that she takes Singulair. I guess, we will switch back to Zyrtec for her allergies.

I have been on Toprol xl 200mg for over 3.5 years now. due to high blood pressure problems. and Hmo Doctors who refuse to change meds. typical of hmo systems. I dont like this medication and have been fighting with Doctors to get off it.( no luck) as yet! I have tryed myself a few times doing it slow at small dose, however I have withdraw symptoms! and im forced to go back to the medication again. I think most Doctors fear this problem so they try and pass the buck to a hmo cardiologist, who only tells you, I dont do that - go back to your primary Doctor? its like running in circles !
bad part I have every know side effect from this medication, Doc gave me 4omg of Diovan to counter act the toprol effects.. ahhh! that didnt help.. make them worse..and caused more effects ! blurred vision -chest pains
short term memory loss, Hair loss, and thinning real bad.. I have counted over 56 side effects for just toprol xl alone.. and another 31 for Diovan
plus the fact Diovan was recalled one time before.. and then changed and re-released again.. I feel like the walking dead - Im so tired all the time..
and boy! if your out in the heat.. 85deg F. or more.. watchout people.. you can pass out cold ! from this crap - its got some real bad effects when it gets hot outside. stay in doors and out of the heat ! unless you have to work like me.. I guess one day I will find a good Doctor who will help me
for now, Hmo systems stink ! but im stuck with one till October.. then its bye bye for Hmo's for me.. there has to be a better way to go !
Toprol xl is not the ansure or cure ! by the way I get palpitations off and on from diovan or toprol xl .. its very strange... hate this medication

I have to say, I stepped up from 37.5mg to 75mg of Effexor XR after a week and was on the higher dose for almost a year and had amazing results. I have always suffered from depression and after losing a pregnancy in the second trimester my doctor put me on effexor xr immediately. It was like seeing above the clouds for the first time. I felt like myself only clear, focused and able. I had no side effects and after about a year felt it was time to start getting off as I kept missing does and not noticing any difference when I was off. I cut out cold turky without stepping down and I have to say I THANK GOD there is this drug that works for me out there. If I ever went way down again or anything ever happened, I know that I have a safety net. I know that some people have severe reactions to this drug and others, but not all do. Some people get real help from Effexor XR. Just wanted to pass my experience along.

I started taking Topomax about two months ago for NDPH, a form of daily migraine..I have been on a number of drugs, the latest being lyrica, which resulted in bloating, weight gain and lethargy but finally gave me some relief from headaches..The addition of topomax has helped relieve them further. At first the side effects were brutal! Dizziness, sleepiness, stupidity, slight paranoia ..dis-connect from reality...I almost passed out cold several times and friends said i turned white then yellow...not good...I had this wierd thing happen where I totally forgot what I told a couple of people and vociferously denied having promised to do something for them, only to remember a few days later that I actually HAD promised to do it for them..I called them with abject apologies, blaming the drug..but was not believed. So, I lost a few friends PERMANENTLY due to topomax..I have never had a blackout but it sounds like one, except that I later remembered the event..My eyes have been super dry and irritated. The only lasting physical side effect is a horrible one. I hate to be indelicate, but there is no way to describe this in a pleasant manner...Since the day I started topamax, I have not had a normal bowel movement..I have nothing but what i would call "explosive diarrhea" morning and night..I have to wear those awful shields to bed at night now to keep from soiling the sheets..I am hoping it will go away and don't know if I should see a doctor or what. It atarted when i started the drug so must be related..I hate to stop taking it as it has helped my migraines a lot, and also the bloating..I now take 75mg a day. Any one else experienced thisz?

I have been taking Singulair with Flonase for one week (as treatment for chronic sinusitis) and two nights ago I was at a concert and experienced spots entering my vision from both sides until I was completely unable to see, though my friend told me my eyes were open. Then my legs went to jelly. My friends tried to help me sit down but I couldn't balance myself. I fell down and was out cold for about 5 seconds while my friends panicked and tried to get help, but I woke up right away and was ok after that. I have never blacked out or fainted before in my life though. I've also been experiencing anxiety and mood swings in the last week which are very unusual for me.

I AM ON 150 MG PER DAY AND HAVE BEEN FOR ABOUT 2 1/2 YEARS. LATELY, THE DIZZINESS AND TIREDNESS AND LACK OF ENERGY HAVE BEEN MUCH WORSE. I ALSO HAVE ACTUALLY PASSED OUT COLD TWICE IN THE LAST MONTH BECAUSE ALL OF THE SUDDEN I FELT EXTREMELY OVERHEATED AND BLACKED OUT. ANYONE ELSE HAVE THESE SYMPTOMS?

Started on Geodon 40 mg in the evening three days ago. (This is prescribed for bipolar and I also take Prozac.) It knocks me out cold about 1-1/2 hours after taking it and I have a hell of a time waking up in the morning, so knocked out-feeling, brain dead, drowsy. My husband the insomniac says I have started to make VERY strange noises in my sleep (I'm not talking in my sleep anymore, just making strange noises), but when I ask him to describe the noises, he just laughs and won't tell me. I shudder to think. After finally waking up, I feel hyper, am pacing, agitated and I am sweating like crazy. Also, my stomach feels vaguely queasy. The doctor plans to increase this to 80 mg. (Oh for joy.) It's too soon to tell, I know, but I'm so sick of taking endless drugs and combinations that don't work. I feel weird with them, I feel weird without them. What a life.

I started Geodon almost two weeks ago. And I am already stopping. My doctor wanted me to take 40mg the first night, 80mg the second, and 120 the third. I took the 40mg the first night, was passed out cold in exactly two hours (and i didn't want to be). The next day I barely made it out of bed, and missed to classes. Then I fell asleep during my last one, woke up with an extreme stomach pain, ran out, and fainted in the hallway. That night I took 80mg. I didn't move from two afters I took it until 5pm the next day. I was completely useless. And felt horrible when I would try to wake up. It was as though my body was asleep but my mind was trying so hard to wake up but failing. I called the doc and went back down to 40 for the next week. Same effects of immediate sleep exactly 2 hours after taking. Then immobile until at least 1pm, but closer to 3-5 pm. Any time I was awake I was yelling, I was furious! At everyone, everything. The next week he made me move up to 80mg. I felt as though someone had knocked me out. I have never been on a drug that affected me in this way. It made me completely unable to function, as well as it seemed to increase my anxiety threefold, and other sensations that had never existed appeared. I decided I would not put my body, mind, or friends through this any more. Last night was my first night without it. It is now 2:30pm the next day, and I have yet to fall asleep. I spent the whole night wide awake sweating like crazy in what my boyfriend described as an icebox. I feel so uncomfortable and I just want to scream. But I would rather want to scream that be someone that couldn't even move. And hopefully the withdrawl will pass. We'll see. I don't understand why this drug is on the market - it seems as though every person that takes it hates it. or at least has extreme side effects

Since Geodon and increased dosage, my tongue and jaw and neck are clammped so tight that I broke some of my teeth. Sometimes my eyes go in back of my head and fingers and arms stiffen and are rigid and I am in trance like state. After 2 hours of taking, my butt is knocked out cold and I cannot wake up for anyhting while I am stuck in terrible nitemares and horrid sweats. My muscles in my legs and arms are constantly locking up in charlie horses and the pain is so bad as well as nausea and vomitting. I cannot tolerate smells of foods now without getting sick. Supposedly Geodon and Abilify have same chemical components, so what's the sense in switching ? I always had nitemares but this is terrifying and I am paralyzed it feels like and can't waken from these nitemares. I am desperate for help as nothing else has helped, but I feel like I have 20 new problems on top of what I already had ! Godd Luck all !
