I am not too happy w/ Loestrin --- at first it was great, very light periods for 4 days, and I knew when they were coming, but in the last three months, like soo many of you, I haven't felt like myself --- I've had yeast infections that are crazy, and I've had chest pains, and now, abdominal pain --- my gyno thinks it might be either fibroids or an ovarian cyst --- 6 months ago, I was experiencing none of these things! I know it the pill --- I made a decision to take myself of it b/c I know my body better than anyone else, and get this, I just had my period last week, my second day off the pill, I am bleeding again.
I'm going to just use condoms and be diligent about it.

I am at the end of my first month on this pill. Things seemed fine until 3 days ago when I got a migraine (I never get headaches) and it has lasted for 3 days making it so difficult to look after my children or get the simplest things done. I started looking up side effects and found this site. I realised that this month I had also had thrush, no sex drive at all and seem to be very cold in relation to other people. I suffer from PMDD and this is my second pill in attempt to make the symptoms easier to manage. Without the pill I am over emotional, cry a lot, have severe mood swings and painful and heavy bleeding each month. With this in mind I am still going to come off Yasmin right now. I do not want to mess things up even more. I have been concerned about the ingredients of the pill too - I am a vegan and there is no birth control pills which do not contain lactose or animal ingredients so I think I must go back to the diapham for birth control (condoms are just awful!). it is frightening how easily all these pills are prescribed. I was on dianette when I was 16 to combat the same PMDD and when I came off it five years later didn't have a period for a year at which time I discovered I had an ovarian cyst and a tumor, both of which had to be removed. Was told I probably couldn't have kids but thankfully five years later (five years of trying to conceive) I had our first and then 10 months after that fell pregnant with our second). I can't believe I was stupid enough to go back on any pill but my PMDD is difficult to manage and I was at my wits end but after just a month I know I have to come off it. For good this time. My life is to valuable to me to mess up with this rubbish.

I was only on NuvaRing for a month and had/have experienced serious side effects. I am currently fighting a second ovarian cyst with severe abdominal tenderness. I know these are typical, however, my first one came one week after stopping NuvaRing. As did many others, I experienced a lot of pain during intercourse and my husband could feel the plastic rubbing him which caused quite a bit of discomfort. In addition to the side effects, insurance does not cover the product well and it cost me $47.50! I wouldn't recommend the product but I think it is necessary to keep in mind that all forms of birth control work differently for each individual. If it works for you great, but if you begin to see any signs or symptoms out of the ordinary, take it out and consult your physician. (Remember when you take it out to use a back up method.)

this is my story... I am 41 and wombless. Was prescribed Yasmin for a cyst which they say is an ovarian cyst, but I have no ovaries. May i say I have never taken contraceptives in my life. began taking prescription 28 days ago today. from the very first day it brought on kidney pain that was dormant for months and a feeling of nausea and headaches. That checked with antibiotics in a week, with the exception of headaches which i still have on and off, it has been smooth sailing. problem is yesterday i woke up bleeding. I haven't had a period in almost 3 years so i am in a dilemma. Its weekend and i don't see my gyn until Monday. The only thing i can put this to is the tabs and i am not gonna take any more. I quit.

I started using the NuvaRing 5 months ago. The first month I felt great. By the second to third month I was experiencing severe vaginal itching and soreness as well has vision problems. I kept thinking that my body needed to get used to it so I used it for 2 more months. The itching and soreness did not subside so i took it out about 45 days ago. These last 45 days have been crazy. I have been an emotional mess with crazy anxiety attacks. (I am typically an easy going calm person) I am experiencing hot flashes that start in my scalp and ears and continue to my extremities as well as itching all over my body and random intense pain in my arms. I have been to the doctor twice in two weeks because I thought something was seriously wrong with me. All of my labs came back normal so he keeps reassuring me that I am going through "hormone withdrawal" and it should get better within two months. This has been a horrible experience and I will never go on it again or refer it to anyone.

HORRIBLE SIDE EFFECTS FROM YASMIN!
I am 21 and I have been on birth control pills for 4 years. I used to be on a generic low dose hormone birth control until i developed an ovarian cyst which the doctors told me was because of the low hormone. So now im on Yasmin and i have been on it for 2 months. So far i have gained 6 lbs ( i have weighed the same since 9th grade until now), and i eat healthy , my eating habits have not changed. I am also super moody , i feel depressed, can't sleep, constantly crying, me and my fiance are constantly fighting because of my mood swings. I also get horrible cramps during my period and i bleed about 11 days after i have just had my period. The side effects are awful and Im thinking about switching to Mirena because I cant handle this anymore. Hope my experience is helpful.

I have had Mirena since may 2008 and I hate it! I have two children and dont want anymore, but because i am young i was urged not to get a tubal ligation. I really wish that i hadn't let myself get bullied into something that i really did not want. As with many of the other women on this page, i have experienced a lot of cramping and i bled like a stuck pig for the first month that i had the mirena. I have frequent headaches and nausea and acne like u wouldn't believe. and it's in the strangest places like behind my ears! my complexion has always been one of my better attributes, so i was kind of ticked when i started breaking out so badly! I was really excited about not having to worry about birth control for a while, but now i'm left wondering if it was really worth it! I was also diagnosed with an ovarian cyst in June, which has not yet corrected itself and may require me to have surgery to have it removed.

I got Mirena Jan. 2008. Since then I get migraines, tension headaches, anxiety, irritability, insomnia, mood swings, bloating (no weight gain), increased heart rate, no sex drive at all (I'm only 21!),and my partner can feel the strings poking him. I finally reached my breaking point with Mirena when I developed lower abdominal pain and a slight discharge. Mirena has infected my uterus and ovaries. This damn thing is coming out ASAP!!!

Hello everyone
I am so glad that I ran across this page. I was on the NuvaRing, a little over a year ago & I only stayed on the ring for 2 months due to side effects, burning in the vagina, discharge..things like that. I gave it up along with all bc. It was the end to a long game of switch the bc, everything is making me crazy, lol. Well last month I went to my ObGyn and after almost a year of only 2 weeks between my period and heavy spotting..and no BC to blame it on, I was told that I have 3 fibroids and a small ovarian cyst. I was also told that we should try bc..to maybe help the spotting and other issues. I am really bad with the pills..I set alarms, keep them in the purse..still don't take them, Not to mention I get soooo sick with them. Did the patches and felt like I was crazy after a year and half..I mean leg pains, depression..damn near every side effect..you can think of. Dont want implant or depo so went back to the ring. Ne way the Dr. said that the issues I had the 1st time with the ring..could have been from a yeast infection or vaginal infection and that I should try it again.

It has been 2 weeks and and the vaginal issues are not bad..sometimes I feel a little something thats not normal..but I can deal with that. The emotional issues are my problem. I have been with my BF for 2 years..we have not had a rocky relationship, problems with cheating or anything else. Nothing more than the usual couple spat.. everything is good, well was good. I feel like an emotional time bomb..yesterday I started a huge debate over him not giving the average girl credit for being beautiful (which he tells me I'm pretty and sexy and all that good stuff!) and praising these women on tv and in magazines (which he didn't do, I asked him if he thought a girl was cute..he didnt want to answer, for fear it would backfire on him, but I told him it was ok..and then tore into him 4 no reason). I feel like I am not sexy enough..pretty enough, this was not an issue before. I feel depressed, I just made a huge to-do list for goals in life..was so hype about it..now nothing..its whatever. Everything is whatever. I have no mojo about ANYTHING. I don't even want to read..and that abnormal. I feel paranoid about things that were never issues..like is he cheating on me..& nothing has changed in his behavior to make me think this way! I am worried that by not taking the bc, I will suffer from my issues from before. I haven't been on the ring long enough to know if its gonna help my issues, like the crazy 2 week bleeding spell and having cramps, but in seeing how its effecting my mood..I don't know if I can wait to see! I feel bad..really really bad. I wish that BC did not have to be so crazy on your body! Its like damned if I do damned if I don't!

Thanks ladies for being so open and honest..good to know I am not the only one..or just making myself think something is wrong when its not..because there is.

I HAVE HAD THE MIRENA IUD FOR 11 MONTHS. I HAVE GAINED 11 LBS OF UNWANTED WEIGHT. I CONSTANTLY HAVE ABDOMINAL PAIN, BLOATING, AND DISCOMFORT. MY PANTS (EVEN THE LARGER SIZE) CAUSE A STRANGLING PRESSURE AROUND MY WAIST LINE. I OFTEN HAVE PAIN WITH INTERCOURSE. MY MENSTRUAL CYCLE HAS DECREASED BUT THE PMS SYMPTOMS HAVE NOT. I ALREADY HAD A PROBLEM WITH OVARIAN CYST AND THEY HAVE NOT DECREASED. I OFTEN HAVE STRIKING PAIN IN THE LOWER ABDOMINAL AREA AND IN MY PELVIC AREA. I HAVE MIGRAINES HEADACHES, BUT ALSO SOMETHING I HAD PRIOR TO IUD. I ALSO HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING A LOT OF CONSTIPATION PROBLEMS, UNKNOWN IF RELATED TO THE IUD OR THE MULTIPLE CYST. MY ENERGY LEVEL IS LOW AND PRIOR TO IMPLANT I WAS OFTEN HYPERACTIVE. ONE BENEFIT IS THAT SINCE MY ENERGY LEVEL AS DECREASED I NO LONGER HAVE INSOMNIA, SOMETHING I HAVE HAD FOR YEARS. I WOULD RATHER BE UP ALL NIGHT, THEN DEPRESSED AND UNCOMFORTABLE EVERYDAY.

I HAD HOPED SOME OF THESE SYMPTOMS WOULD SUBSIDE TO NO AVAIL. I CANNOT LIVE WITH THE INCREASED WEIGHT, DAILY CRAMPS, AND ABDOMINAL PROBLEMS. IF THIS IS A RESULT OF THE MIRENA IUD THEN IT IS TIME TO HAVE IT REMOVED. I WAS LOOKING AT THIS DEVICE TO HELP DECREASE FEMALE COMPLICATIONS I WAS ALREADY EXPERIENCING AND AS I HAVE READ IN THE OTHER POSTED COMMENTS THE IUD HAS ONLY INCREASED AND CREATED MORE SYMPTOMS FOR ME. I ONLY WISH I WOULD HAVE FOUND THIS SITE A YEAR AGO BEFORE THE IMPLANT. I WILL BE CALLING MY OBGYN TODAY FOR AN APPOINTMENT. THANKS FOR THE INSIGHT.

My 11 year old niece has developed (fibroid?) cysts in her breasts, and they say one is the size of a golf ball. She and her sister had said they really didn't think they had had any side effects from the Gardasil, and of course, the doctors say there is no connection. However, she has always been healthy, and these have only developed AFTER the administration of Gardasil.

How many must be harmed before the FDA stands up to the greed of Pharmaceutical companies and all of their human experiments?

I had used NR for six weeks when I woke up at 3 am with SEVERE chest pains. Went to the ER and was diagnosed with *substantial* pulmonary emboli (blood clots in the lungs). I was hospitalized for five days and am now under the direction of a pulmonologist and hematologist for the next six months while I'm on blood thinner therapy. I had to do injections into my abdomen twice a day to prevent further clotting until my blood reached a theraputic level with the Coumadin (blood thinning drug).

Usually, pulmonary embolism afflicts sedentary people or those who have recently had surgery or those who have cancer . .. etc etc etc. I am a 33 year old personal trainer. I have ZERO risk factors for this to have happened to me . .. other than the nuvaring. It was determined that it was the cause and I was told to remove it immediately and to never never never use it again.

Please be careful in your decisions to use this product. I used it for the convenience of not popping a pill daily as I would usually forget. Wish I would have just looked a bit further into the possible side effects before choosing to go ahead with it.

After reading all these posts I am shocked I didn't do research on this bc sooner. I got off the pill last July and developed an ovarian cyst. My gynecologist suggested I go back on the pill to try and dissolve the cyst, well that hasn't happened...I still have one on my right ovary and it isn't big enough for them to remove. I do not want to stay on bc but my doctor insists that I do to get rid of the cyst. I have had terrible side effects from Loestrin that I never had when I took Apri....I stopped taking Apri due to the high level of hormones. I have had really bad acne and dryness of skin even though I moisturize, I have been randomly crying over the stupidest situations, and I get side cramps a lot. There are a lot of things that are going on in my life that are positive and ever since I started taking this bill I keep getting down. I wish there was another way to get rid of this cyst! I hate taking birth control....anyone know a better one to take?

My experience and a question...

Hello all,
I had mine placed 6 days ago. First 2 days were a little painful. But I was able to go to school and work (in my final year of college and am having a hard enough time in Calculus without missing a day). I have been on many different kinds of birth control (patch, pill, and shot). My problem is I suffer from severe migraines. At the worst point in my life, they were 3-5 times a week. The patch worked the best for me. I lost weight, periods didn't change at all, migraines went to 2-4 a month and I (still to this day) have never really experienced cramps. However, because of the cost and my financial situation at the time, I couldn't afford it. The shot was the worst. Gained 10 pounds every 3 months, very emotional and depressed all the time, and the migraines slowly became more frequent. Changed to the pill (Kariva) and took it so that I only had a period every 3 months. My migraines almost went away completely but I had a lot of lower abdomen pain. Had every test under the sun and they found nothing wrong. My doctor suggested changing my birth control so here I am. My question is are there any signs of complications from the placement of Mirena? About once a day or more I get a sharp pain in my lower left side. Not sure if this is just the same pains I had from the pill (didn't take anything for birth control for 2 months and all the pain stopped. didn't start up again till placement) or if others have experienced this when something was wrong. I am scared they may be something wrong but being a broke college student, don't really have $100 to spend at the doctor to have the usually *shrug*. Thanks! email ******

I am 20 years old and had basically tried every form of birth control before Mirena (the pill {multiple kinds}, the NuvaRing, and the shot). My OBGYN talked to me about the possibility of Mirena. Normally they do not do it for people who haven't had children but with my track record with other forms of birth control we decided to go ahead with it. I got it put in place in October 2007 and passed out on the table. It was the worst pain I have had in my entire life and had to lay down in the hospital bathroom for 45 minutes after insertion because I couldn't even stand up. I cried the whole hour ride home after and my boyfriend had to carry me up three flights of stairs into my apartment. I bled for a month and a half after insertion and then didn't see any blood until a month ago. I started getting very bad cramps (have had them all along but not bad, they said my body had to get used to it so I could have some cramping for a few months), after one day of the horrible cramping I finally had to go to the ER. The Dr's told me I had a 3inch ovarian cyst that had ruptured. After CT scans, and multiple internal and external Ultrasounds they found it was still 1 inch long and put me back on the pill to shrink it. They claim Mirena couldn't be the cause but I am doubtful, I have never had a cyst until Mirena and I think it is the cause. Ovarian cysts are on the side effects chart for Mirena so it is interesting that they told me that can't be the cause. Anyway, after weeks on 3 Vicodin a day and constant pain I started feeling better but occasionally still have pain. The doctors also thought they might have to surgically remove it which could put at risk my possibility of having children (SCARY!) If another cyst comes I will get it removed, I have had it for 6 months and can't deal with anymore. I'm about ready to be celebit until I'm ready to have kids because going through all of this is not worth it. If anyone has had the same problems and got it removed can you email me and tell me how bad it hurt? I am going to be really upset to have gone through all of this to have more awful pain to have it removed. Thanks- my email is ******

I am 27 and have had the Mirena in for almost 2 years. I had it inserted about 2 months after giving birth to my daughter. About 4 months after I had the iud inserted I started getting paic attacks. Lately I have been going through night time whole body shakes for about 5 minutes. Likewise I feel very foggy, acne on arms, back and face, heart palpitations, flushed feeling, numbness in fingers and so many more that y'all are experiencing too except I have not gained any weight. I cannot wait to get this thing out. I have spent sooooo much money going to the doctor trying to figure what the crap is wrong with me, have had numerous blood tests all to be ok except lately I have started to become pre-diabetic (great). My husband was CONVINCED it is the mirena and he searched until he found this sight and I know now he is right. I would not recommend the mirena to anyone now. My concern is now how long it will take me to get back to feeling normal. Oh and about feeling weak, it is all I can do to brush my teeth my arms are give out by the time I get done brushing. My concern for not taking it out was getting pregnant. My husband and I have decided that we will use condoms and use the pregnancy planning kits to try to avoid getting pregnant. If it happens we know we want to have one more and my hubby said he will have a vasectomy, that my health is the most important thing. Anyone considering getting the implant please do a lot of research and thinking before you get it.
Oh I forgot to mention I had an ovarian cyst to rupture Thanksgiving 2007. I have joint pain worst in my left hip, light bleeding almost all the time, sudden sharp headache pains that come and go quickly, and honestly too many things to remember.

I can't tell you how happy I was to find this web site. I had my Mirena inserted almost 2 years ago now. Was looking forward to having NO periods but that never happened...they're lighter but last longer. Some months I'll have spotting for a week or two prior to my period...feel like I should buy stock in Kotex! Several months after having my Mirena inserted I complained to my GYN of pain in my lower right side. He said it was probably scar tissue from my two c-sections. A few months after that I started seeing a chiropractor for back pain that just wouldn't go away...and STILL hasn't almost 2 years later. I am VERY moody before my period comes to the point of screaming and yelling at my husband and children and I can't stand that...not like me at all. Back in November I had pain all around my middle and could hardly walk without being slumped over. Went to the local walk-in, ended up in the hospital with a ruptured ovarian cyst. Haven't been the same ever since then. My face breaks out...mostly on the left side, I get horrible headaches nearly every day and feel like I LIVE on Excedrin...THAT can't be good for my body. I've gained about 20 pounds since I got the IUD inserted, I have a hard time going to sleep at night, have no energy whatsoever...it's just been horrible. After reading all of these posts I feel like I've finally found the answers to all the things that have been troubling me...it's the Mirena and it needs to come out!

I started taking Femcon last week and immediately had side effects. I had a hysterectomy last year, but the doctor leftt my ovaries in since I am 34 and still need to have my ovaries. Why? I dont know, since I have had 3 Ovarian cyst surgeries. Anyway, he put me on the pill to help shut down my ovaries, but all that has happened is severe headaches including two migraines and severe nausea as well. I have breast tenderness and my legs are so sore! I have also put on 8 pounds which really stinks since I have just recently lost 40 pounds! I sure as heck don't want to start climing upwards again! This is absolutely rediculous! I think I would just rather go through another surgery and remove the one ovary then keep going through this! I do not reccomned this pill to anyone!

Hi everyone,
I had the Mirena fitted in May 2007 whilst under general anesthetic for an operation for an Ovarian Cyst. I have endometriosis so my GP fitted me with the coil as a way to control this disease. Having not had children i am really glad i was unconscious when it was fitted as it sounds painful.
I had started looking into side effects of the Mirena a few weeks ago as I have noticed that my libido is very low, and I wondered if it could be connected to the coil.
I have had a headache nearly every day for the last 3 months and have recently started feeling very dizzy. Today I have had to take time off work because I feel as if I am on a boat. It is like a spinning sensation really strange not something i have had before.
I am also experiences a sort of blurred vision, like a black shimmering over everything I look at. I have had my eyes tested by an optician and there is nothing wrong with them. The gp is at a loss because I do not have anything wrong with my ears. He basically has said live with it.
So I have made a decision to have the coil removed. I would be interested to know what that is like as i am quite nervous about that?
thanks

Many strange things have been happening to me for the last year and a half, that I did not ever experience before. I just turned 38 years old. I am now suspecting these are side effects from the MIRENA. I want to get opinions about what I'm experiencing and what happens when it's removed.

The most profound thing is the feeling of being in a mental bubble. Even though I'm aware of it and I try to be alert, I feel cloudy minded and can't even rely on myself to remember things or commit to things because I never know how I will feel when I wake up each day. Some days are okay while others are completely LOST because I may have struggled to sleep the night before, sweating and soaking my pillow case and waking up with a rapid heart beat, panicking for no apparent reason right out of sleeping. Or, I'm irritable due to discomfort which takes several forms like these:
- major moodiness, like feeling totally peaceful one minute and then something small triggers me and I'm angry for hours, later realizing that I was overreacting
- visibly shaking hands, especially when I drink just 1/2 cup coffee.
- increased oily skin and acne on face, back, shoulders and even in ears, along with thinning hair around face
- fatigue and stiffness in the morning, so it takes me forever to get out of bed
- off and on fatigue that has me uncontrollably dozing off during the day
- bloated tummy (visible), gas and menstrual cramps in no predicable pattern, but I never go more than a week without these things
- strange libido, one day I wouldn't care if I ever had sex again, the next night wake up horny as heck at 2 am
- ears ringing, jaw pain, mystery pains in back and joints regularly

All along I've been assuming these odd things were stress and age related but the more I think about it, there's just too many things, and these things don't necessarily represent the stress of a typical stay at home mom.
Sure, I have had stress and anxiety in the past, but they could always be connected to something large going on in my life. Now, the anxiety and moodiness hit unpredictably and indiscriminately, it seems. For a long time now I feel like I'm a total mess physically and mentally, even more so because I realize something is wrong
I am pretty sure as of right now that I should get this removed. If the symptoms go away I'll then know what caused them in the first place.
I am wondering what happens upon removal, will it also be a roller coaster of physical and mental anguish???????? How long will it last?

I just happened to find this site while googling for possible causes of my wife's low libido (should've said NO LIBIDO)... It all starts to make sense now... She had Mirena inserted about a year ago and I can say that our sex life is just "non-existing" ever since; we've been married for 10 years and I know I cannot pretend to live on a daily honeymoon but... come on!!!!! ...
I was also really worried about the most horrible "cramps" she's had in the past months (about once or twice a month) and according to the last CT scan an ovarian cyst is to blame but I wouldn't be surprised if Mirena is the real cause of it.
Ladies, if not for you do it for your husbands. PLEASE DON'T GO WITH MIRENA

Hey there, I'm 21 and just recently started the NuvaRing (Dec.4th)....
This site dumb founded me! I was just clicking around this morning before work to see what this thing was doing to me and couldn't believe my eyes! Or the fact that I hadn't realized until I read it from others how it effected me personally! I have experienced almost insanity, crying, depression, confusion in my life, pains, bloating, my eye twitching?, rash and itching on my lower tummy and boobs, restless nights, I've always been pretty sexually driven but not so much lately... I just couldn't believe that almost everything I have been going through others are going through also! What is up with that? I tried the patch once awhile ago and it made me moody... so I went back to pills (I'm not a good pill taker) and about a year ago I ended up in the Hospital with an Ovarian Cyst the size of an orange! They put me on a higher dose of BC to make the cyst shrink/go away... I still have had pains and problems associated with the cyst so my OBGYN suggested the NuvaRing so that I wouldn't forget to take my BC and it would help me... Not So Much... I don't know what to do...? The past few days I haven't been as irritable or grumpy and have felt like a happy person but am still having pains. I started to have the beginnings of a period (not actual blood) at the end of Dec-beginning of Jan and recently 3 days ago actually started bleeding... so I've had an ongoing period for weeks.... I'm half tempted to just take this sucker out... I am calling my OBGYN tomorrow and explaining all this... any thoughts-comments- would be appreciated! Wish me luck...
Amanda

Am Kelsey, 30 years old mom of two first shot pregnancy kids - 31/2years old and a 20 months old. i had Mirena IUD inserted after my second baby and had it for 13 months. All was well save I was in very bad moods all the time.
After removal is now the nightmare. I used to get pregnant ONE SHOT - but first cycle was 40 days anovulatory, second cycle was 37 days anovulatory, third cycle I ovulated and had low progesterone and miscarried (Yet Mirena releases small doses of progesterones - it messed up my natural progesterone release hence the anovulatory cycles because Luteinizing hormone does not trigger my ovaries to release progesterone on their own) at 61/2 weeks.

Before the pregnancy - I was diagnosed with a left ovarian cyst 5.2 cm in size. This happened when my body geared to ovulate and did not release enough Luteinizing hormones and formed a cyst...another side effect of Mirena.

Got my fertility painfully back and conceived again first cycle after miscarriage BUT my progesterone levels started going down and I am now on progesterone supplements to help maintain the pregnancy.
Mirena IUD must have contributed in killing my baby at 61/2 weeks due to my body being unable to produce progesterones on it's own.

Now pregnant and at 5w4d no fetal pole detected and my levels of progesterone are rising just because of the progesterone levels. Might be having a blighted ovum - all this pain because I made a choice to ruin my life with Mirena IUD

If you are considering Mirena IUD and wish to have children in the future - THINK AGAIN, that might be hard to achieve, if at all!!

wow!, I was just given a prescription of Femcon FE, an now I am just wait to start it but after reading all this I am having second thought. Though I am 21 and have never been on Birth Control, I have a ovarian cyst that hasn't went away since June. And I cannot do anything when I get my period due to the cyst. So I had to see a specialist and he told me to take Femcon, I am totally against BC because I don't think its right to Mess with your flow..but this is the only way to get it out with out surgery!...now I have already gain 10lbs from my cyst and went from a 34smallB to a 34LgC almost a D...so I really hope they don't get bigger...he also said that this was the lease hormonal drug thats why he gave it to me? is that true?

I had my Mirena put in on October 26 of 2007 and it hurt bad. I started bleeding as soon as it was put it and had to take a pain pill when I got home the pain was so bad. I couldn't hardly walk for the next 3 days. I have been cramping since I had it put in but the bleeding did stop for a bit. Now I have bleeding for the past 2 weeks off and on. Sometimes its heavy to wear a pad or tampon and then it will stop all the sudden. I have cramps like I am going to start my period all the time. My right ovary hurts me really bad to where I can't walk. I called my doctor and the nurse pretty much told that I didn't need to be seen that my doctor will look at my chart but that I shouldn't need to come in. I am thinking about going to an Immediate care center because I have 2 kids and I can't stay like this. Oh and the mood swings are crazy I get pissed for no reason or I am just mean and its not me at all. Oh and my periods before this were just maybe a day or 2 and cramping before it. I am not used to this at all.
