I've been on Topamax since just Tuesday, 10/9/07. I find that I get very tired a couple hours after taking it and I have horrible nightmares and very dark thoughts, too. Diet coke tastes so HORRBILE which is bad because I loved my diet cokes, but then again I guess that's good b/c I need to stop drinking them anyway. My worst side effect is that I have horrible mood swings. Is this normal? Is this going to go away over time? Because if not, I'm going to stop taking it now. This is not like me and I am not going to subject my family to this - losing weight is not THAT important to me. Thanks for any help. :(

P. S. I'm taking 25 mg in the morning, afternoon and evening.

I am 21 and have been on YAZ for 6 months, I am soo happy I came across this website. I only went on it (my first BC pill) because my periods are like 8 days long and on the first day I become so sick I can most often barley even function w/o the help of pain killers (in addition to pregnancy prevention). I am about to throw this last pack out I cannot take it anymore. My boobs were naturally a large B small C ...they have exploded into a large D..it does not fit on my frame...no clothes fix me and my stomach is never flat always bloated!!!
I did not change any of my diet or exercise patterns. My boobs are so painful alll the time, I sleep w/ a bra on sometimes. I was always a moody person but recently I have been having crying spells for no reason or overreacting and at times embarassing myself. I was about to call a shrink to go on anti-derpressants! My boyfriend has been verbally attacked for the msot ridiculous things. I do not feel like myself. I called my doc and he said this one should not me doing this to me. My periods last for 6 days and sometimes I still have debilitationg craps. I have also been suffering from IBS!
He gave me a sample of LOESTRIN24? I read the side effects and they sound just as bad!! At this point I'm willing to deal w/ the cramps and use another form of pregnancy prevention! Does anyone have any advice? I want the cramps to go away and I want no weight gain unless it is from eating too much!! not the hormones! Thanks and good luck to everyone

I've been taking topral for about 4 or 5 months.
It was prescribed to me in order to slow down my heartbeat.
SInce I've been taking Topral, I seem to itch a lot.
A couple of times, I purposely skipped taking it and seemed the itching stopped.
I called my doctor and they said the itching is not from the drug.
I check my blood pressure everyday and sometimes it drops to 100/55 and 115/60 and the dr. office told me not to be alarmed.

At least I know I'm not the only one who had a bad side effect from this drug. I started taking it 4 months ago, and took it for 3 days, and then I told my doctor that I wouldn't take it anymore. It wasn't that I was tired exactly, but unable to move. It was like something sucked all the energy out of me. It was an extreme hardship to get off the couch, or walk to the kitchen, bathroom, etc.
One time during those 3 days, I was sitting on the floor putting food in my rats' cage. My bf was sitting a few feet away playing a video game. I turned around and tried to stand up, but I couldn't. I just sat there and stared across the room, concentrating on how I was going to get up, and I did that for about 5-10 minutes. My bf said, "What are you staring at?" I said, "Nothing, I'm just trying to stand up, but I don't think I can."
Eventually, I made my way back to the couch. I have never felt that way before, and it was really freaky. It was like there were weights holding me down and I could hardly move at all, and everyone thought I was just being lazy or overreacting. Has this happened to ANYONE but me?

I'm so relieved to find this site! I was starting to think I was overreacting. I'm taking 500mg of Levaquin for a bladder infection and have had the most bizarre dreams that is if I actually sleep, woke up yesterday with the oddest rash all along my chin (several very tiny water bisters & bumps) Besides the fact that it doesn't feel as though it's helping the infection as I'm experiencing just as much pain as I was on day one. I've never had a problem with side effects of any drug so to me this is bit scary. My own prescription No more Levaquin and a few words with my doctor.
