Oxygen transfer symptoms and conditions

I have ocular histoplasmosis. I was perscribed 80mgs for one week. I then reduced the dosage by 5 mgs a day every five days, It took me 18 months to get off the drug and still see healing in my eye. I went from a size 10 dress to size twenty. Prednisone works by slowing oxygen transfer at the cellular level. After 14 months off of it, I still have headaches along the top of my skull. I doubt my own judgement and have mood swings from sad to euphoric. I have tingling in my hands and feet. I am finally back to size 10, do the other side effects ever go away?
