I had been taking singulair for over two years. I am 70 yrs old and in good health except for light asthma, allergy problems. My doctor took me off it. It did some good in the beginning but the last four mts I was continuing to get wheezing and bronchitis infections. I also had a lot of leg pain and was tested for all kinds of blockage, etc. I experienced very painful leg cramping, toes twitching, etc. The only way I could stop it was to pull my toes forward as the worst happened at night and woke me up. I finally found Leg Cramps with Quinine an all natural homeopathic med. It worked like a charm. I didn't know that this was a side effect of Singulair. Since I am off singulair just two weeks. It was replaced with Flovent an inhaler ( 2 puffs 2 x a day to begin and then later it will be 1 puff as the inflammation gets better. It also comes in granules. I am feeling much better and now I am ready to stop Leg Cramps as I feel the singulair may have been causing the problem. While taking Singulair I also had stomach cramps with diarrhea. I will not go back on Singulair. If the cramping returns, I will definitely go back on Leg Cramps with Quinine (available in any pharmacy over the counter and very inexpensive.

I started Femcon Fe about 3 months ago. About two weeks after starting the pill, I had gotten a UTI. Not thinking it was the pill, I get it treated. A week after finishing the medication. I got another UTI and got treated for it again. Now, I have this constant burn all the time when I urinate (I previously had gotten tested for any STD, so I know it is not that). Everyday, I take AZO to ease the pain. Also, I have noticed at night I get painful leg cramps. I have also gained about 10 pounds, and my boobs are HUGE (which I kinda like). Three weeks out of the month I am psycho (yell at my kids like a maniac and snap at anyone). I also started to get dry patches on my face. I really think it is the pill. After reading everyone's comments I know it is the pill. Thanks everyone for posting cause if not I would have thought I needed to be in a mental institution, need to seek medical attention for circulatory and urinary tract problems, and joined weight watchers. I am stopping the pill tonight!

November, 2008 I started Januvia about 3 months ago while also taking metformin, glimeride. I previously took Actos but was gaining a lot of weight. Actos replaced the Avandia. The first few weeks on Avandia I seemed fine and the bs was okay. Gradually it increased along with severe painful spasms in my legs, trunk and daily in my neck. Eventually my hands began cramping. I also became severely constipated which is quite unusual for me. I then developed a series of upper respiratory infections. Since I was feeling awful I decided to research Januvia and its side effects. The manufacturer mentions the infections but not the others. As an experiment, I stopped taking the Januvia and within about 5 days, the painful leg/trunk spasms began to disappear. I'm contacting my doctor this week to find me a new drug....hopefully not insulin.

About 3 years ago my doctor precribed Libitor for mr to help reduce my high cholesterol. After about 3 months I started having these sharp pains in my legs. So another trip to the doctor and he prescribed a pain medicine. The pain medicine didn't help. So, I read about the side affects of Lipitor and there it was. I stopped talking the Lipitor, the sharp pains are gone but my legs muscles are weak and ache. I've tried pain medicine, theropy, walking and riding bicycles trying to build up my muscle tissue. Nothing works. Now I'm getting to the point of not wanting to do anything because weak and painful leg muscles. Has anyone found something that workd?

I am a pediatric cardiologist and have been a martial artist for 30years. I have been experiencing extremely tight and painful leg muscles. I have already stopped my lipitor. It would seem that lisinopril is next to be d/c'd.
