I had hip replacement surgery last August - and had the generic of Levaquin. In December I got achilles tendonitis - plus a partially torn tendon and plantar faciitis all in one foot. The heel of the other foot is hurting me also. DEFINITELY THE LEVAQUIN!!! Now my daughter just had Bariatric Bypass surgery - and the anti-biotic they gave her during the surgery was Levaquin. She is now experiencing terrible pain in her calves..and she is finding it hard to walk and do any exercise. THIS DRUG NEEDS TO BE BANNED OFF THE MARKET COMPLETELY!!!!!!!

I only took 3 doses & felt insane by the 2nd. Once I took the 3rd , it confirmed for me that it was the Advair & not the antibiotic I was also on. Horrible nightmares, confusion, disorientation, intense dizziness lasting 13 hours, nausea, a complete surreal feeling, and major depression accompanied wild jitters, and an overall creepiness I have never experienced. I also felt partially deaf as if I had overdosed on aspirin. I have not seen any others w/similar side affects, but I thought I would include mine anyway in case someone else reacts the same way. I will never use this product again.

Since going on Effexor 3 years ago, I have had similar side effects, as well as withdrawal symptoms when trying to go off the drug. My symptoms while on it are: night sweats, being hot all the time (sweaty hands and feet), rashes all over, excema on my scalp and neck, "lightning flash" type feelings in my brain/head, extreme depression, an inability to feel intimacy (although no sex drive problems), extreme weight gain (despite frequent exercise and good diet). During my pre-menstrual period, I am pretty much psychotic, to the point of wanting to hurt myself and others. With the weight gain and depression, I really AM better off not taking the drug. But I find it impossible to take two weeks off work to simply stop taking a drug. It is not possible to stop taking effexor and work or function in ANY CAPACITY. I really feel for the moms out there who have had to do it. One other thing I have been experiencing is severe joint pain. I would like to know if others have experienced this.

Methylpred was administered by injection to one of our cats at our local small animal hospital, to help change his mood and discourage him from biting his tail. Upon returning home, the cat behaved as though partially sedated, lying quietly in an out-of-the-way location. Because we expected some change in behavior, and because we have several other cats in the house, we did not pay particular attention to this cat. During the second night, between 24 and 36 hours after the injection, he died. He exhibited no signs of convulsion, vomiting, or sounds of discomfort. Although moderately overweight, this cat appeared in good health. We suspect heart failure, following increased blood pressure.

I took azithromycin (zpac) about a month and a half ago for a severe chest cough & nasal congestion and my ears partially closed during this illness and the ringing started a few days after I was better, Unfortunately my ears are still ringing today. It is driving me nuts.... Let me know if anyone finds any answers. BTW my gen med doctor cannot see anything wrong with my ears. The ringing is faint until Im in a silent room then its booming.
Thanks George (MrRochie)

I am so thankful that I found this site. Usually I wouldn't post something like this but I have found that it is so important for people to realize that it was the Yasmin because of what it did to me.
I started on Yasmin about 9 months ago and it was great. I had no side effects but only mild moodiness which I just attributed to my ultra sensitive personality. But all of a sudden a month ago things got really bad. I suffered the worst depression and I honestly thought that something was seriously wrong with me because I had never had issues with any sort of depression in the past. I would cry every day, I would not want to talk to anybody (including friends) except my mother to whom I would cry nonstop. I had anxiety and my heart would race. I also could not seem to control my mind. I was petrified because my mind would race and I would be paranoid and worried about the most ridiculous things and I simply could not get under control. I lost 10 pounds in a month because my appetite became non-existent so that I would eat maybe once a day, and not much at that. I would wake up 3 or 4 hours earlier than usual and not be able to get back to sleep no matter how hard I tried due to the anxiety and heart palpitations I was having. Honestly, for all of this to hit you all at once out of nowhere is a terrifying experience, and I was so embarrased that I didn't want to say anything to anybody.
When I found this site it was like one thousand pounds were lifted off of my back. I realized that it was a hormonal imbalance and that I needed to get off Yasmin right away. I threw away the pill pack right in the middle. It took 2 weeks, but like magic, 2 weeks to the day that I stopped taking it I was miraculously a new person. I had never been so happy, partially because this burden was lifted off of me, and also because I didn't feel like I couldn't control how I felt anymore. I realized all of my friends who I had alienated because of my behavior that at the time I didn't care about.
This took a huge toll on me, and thankfully I figured out that it was the Yasmin before it continued for much longer. Thanks you to all of you who posted and for those of you reading, nobody deserves to feel this way and you are not crazy. Thanks again!

My dad and sister both take Lisinopril. My sister has the dry cough that many of you taking this drug seem to have. My dad has been taking Lisinopril for a long time. He is very weak and tired most of the time and has had dizzy spells, or the feeling that he is going to faint. I never knew these things might be connected with the Lisinopril, until I read all the side effects on this site. My dad also had watery eyes, then his eyelids began to swell. His eyes got so bad that one eye was completely swollen shut and the other eye was partially closed. He was diagnosed with tumors behind his eyes and ended up having eye surgery on the eye that was completely shut. The tumor quickly grew back and his eye is swollen shut again. Another doctor (not the one who prescribed the Lisinopril) told my dad that it might be the drug causing the problems with his eyes. The doctor who prescribed Lisinopril never told my dad about the side effects, although he had known he was having problems with his eyes. When my dad told him what the other doctor said, he was taken off the Lisinopril, but within a couple of weeks, his blood pressure shot up to over 180 (It had been around 112 while he was taking the drug). Has anyone else experienced swelling or growths in the eyes?

Hi all,
Well I'm finding this site rather late I suppose, I've been on Yasmin for almost a year. The first month was hell, but then all the stomach cramping and bleeding went away after the first period. I get some headaches, and am more PMSy than I was before the pill, but the real problem is my acne. Now, I've had it all my adult life, but I went on Yasmin partially to clear it up. It worked for about 5 months, then its back to breakouts. Anyone else have this turn-around effect?

Extremely debilitating muscle aches and cramps - legs and now going into arms. I have a partially (66%) blocked Corotoid Artery in Neck so I am concerned that going off these drugs will impact on this. Any suggestions?

As I read these side-effect, I believe that Levaquin was partially, if not wholely, responsible for my mother's death. She was eight years old and had been in the hospital for a bronchial infection. She was given Levaquin IV and sent home with Levaquin tablets. She then had the side effects of bad taste, diarrhea, low blood pressure, weight loss, and pseudomembranous colitis, pancreatitus, and loss of liver and kidney function. This all occured over a three week period and after being in intensive care for five days and then released to an oncology floor for "terminal" care, she died on April 16. Unfortunately, she and her husband had not been adequately warned of possible side-effects. She had celebrated her 80th in January and was still living in her own home prior to her hospital stays. Has anyone else had a similar experience. I dont want this to happen to other folks. Thanks.

I was feeling better the day after I got a prescription for Guaifenex, but after reading these symptoms I've noticed several of them in myself. Mainly feeling hot and restless sleep; I could sleep, but I'd wake up frequently and toss and turn for a bit. I also felt like my head was disconnected from my body which is partially due to the cold, but I think also to this drug. I'm stopping taking it after a couple of days, I'd rather cough and blow all this gunk out of my head and be done with this cold.

increased heart rate -from 83 to 91 beats per minute. My heart pounds so hard & fast that I can feel it in my chest & feel a throb in my neck and ears. This causes great difficulty sleeping -wake up over and over! Have to take a sedative & even this, which used to do the trick, now only partially works.

58 years old male with atrial fibrillation. 2 years taking 7mg of warfarin and several months ago began getting an itchy purplish rash on my lower legs. Very annoying and I often scratch my skin until bloody. Seems to be getting worse.... wife says it's better than a stroke.... I guess so, maybe.
