Hi, I was looking for a way to describe what it is how I feel as I go through my 3 days. This is the second time that I have done this treatment, if not for my first results I would not have done this again. The first time was a year ago and almost instantly the taste in my mouth was like I had a mouth full of rusted pennies. Then within hours the pain, the pain was so bad it brought me to tears. EVERY inch of my body hurt, having clothes on or a sheet touching me was unbearable. My skin hurt, it did not make any sence to me and I called my Doctor and explained how I was feeling to the best of my ability. I was given sleeping pills to take so that I could sleep through the pain and make it to the second day. It was worse as the 3 days went on, I never thought I would do this to myself again but I had results quickly so when my eyesight started going last week and the headaches were unbearable I chose to try this again.
Yesterday was my first day, I was up at 3 I think because I was worried about the pain, I was not due to start the IV until 9:30. I went and within 1/2 hour of starting the taste was there, 2 hours later my feet felt as though my toes were going to explode. 3 hours after that the pain was up to my knees, throbbing, shooting, knawing at my legs. In another 6 hours it was up to my thighs, I was sure at this point that I could no longer walk every movement I made took everything I had. I laid on my bed and cried. By 2 am, still no sleep and the pain was in the middle of my back, I went and laid in the bath, very hot. I was okay for about an hour and was almost asleep when the pain retuned. I knew I should keep track of what I was feeling but as I tried to explain to my friends today it just does not seem real. They wonder why I would do this but they dont know what it is like if I dont. So as I started my second one today I was so tired and I finally did fall asleep for the last 20 minutes of it. It is now 12 hours later and still no more sleep, so much pain and less than 12 hours before my next and last one. At this point I have had 2 baths, Taken tylenol 3, tylenol and the pain is here. I think I am going to be awake again tonight but I just need to get through tomorrow. I do not remember from last year how long I felt the pain afterwards but I dont think it was more than a few days. I am a single mom with a very active 7 year old and it is so hard to go through this with him. I have been told that I have a high pain tolerance, I have many tattoos, piercings I take copaxone every day and give myself my needle but what happens on this drug is unreal. I know people all experience differnt pain but I cannot imagine anyone not feeling it like this or worse. I know it worked for me the first time and quite quickly and that is why I was ready to go through this again. It is hard.

I am on 40mg lisinopril and have lost the ability to taste food. Sometimes I get a metallic taste in my mouth like putting pennies in my mouth.

I posted a question to anyone who used Tri-Sprintec before, but now it's been several months & I'd like to let everyone else know how it's worked for me! Tri-Sprintec has been the best birth control I've ever taken. I have been on other birth controls over the years, and up to this point Yasmin was good but I still had some side effects. I've just started my fourth month on Tri-Sprintec, and I feel more like myself again. I don't have any crazy mood swings, my skin has cleared up, my periods are regular again & my appetite has gone back to normal. I recommend Tri-Sprintec to anyone who is looking for an affordable & reliable birth control (it's offered at the Wal-Mart pharmacy for $9 a month if you don't have insurance.)

I have only been taking Topamax for one week, I have horrible migraine headaches. I feel very exhausted from taking topamax, and have HORRIBLE HEARTBURN, and I love pepsi, and it doesn't just taste flat, it tastes horrible, like I'm sucking on pennies! I unfortunately think I'm going to have to quit taking topamax, because I just feel so horrible....I can sleep 8-10 hours a night, and then wake up, and feel like I didn't sleep at all! Does anyone else know if these side effects get better as you keep taking the meds? Help!

I'm on my second day of Biaxin. I have chronic sinusitus & am currently being checked for sinus cysts.
I have never had so many side effects from a drug before.. I was given Biaxin as a last resort because nothing else seems to work.
On the first day, I noticed a tightness in my chest, similar to a mild asthma attack. Later in the evening I kept having premature heartbeats (which isn't entirely unusual for me, but I haven't had them in a long time). Then I noticed this really bad metallic taste in my mouth like pennies & earwax.. really gross. And it got steadily worse until I felt like I was going to be sick. Also I couldn't get to sleep until the early hours of the morning. Another strange side effect is vivid, strange dreams.. no nightmares so far. My sister is also taking this and we compared dreams in the morning.
Now it's the second day and I still have the bad taste in my mouth, along with a strange giddiness. And lastly, nausea and headaches.

In 2003 I started having panic attacks that lasted for 10-12 hours. My family doctor put me on Zoloft. I don't remember the dose, but think it may have been 10 mg. I became horribly depressed and had a severe aversion to eating. This is the exact opposite of my usual self. I fell into deep depression, to the point where I just laid on the couch. I lost 30 pounds in a month. My husband called my parents over, and they all said I had to go see a psychiatrist or they would put me in the hospital. I chose the first, and he put me on Xanax (alprazolam). Within 48 hours I was my old self. Unfortunately he prescribed the Xanax extended release ( just new on the market, so he got a kickback) and I suffered needlessly for months with delayed release of the medication and horrid expense. I finally asked my family doctor if there was a generic, and she said it had been around for years. For pennies a day, I have great relief. I have managed to wean myself down to 1 1/2 mg. a day, and can add more if going through a stressful time. We all have different reactions to meds. For me, Zoloft was a nightmare.
