hi ambernesspor.
do keep us posted on your progress, i hope you start to feel like your old self again soon. I wonder why gyn's and doctors feel the nedd to keep switching our methods of birth control?? as you said in your post you were perfectly happy on your previous method and it obviously suited you, so many women on here were perfectly fine on their previous pill as i was,i had taken dianette in the past and had no problems with it. i wonder if there is some kind of financial reward for the medical proffessional if they prescribe a certain amount of this pill!!!!! i personally did not find yasmin more tolerable or to have less side effects then my older brand pill and from what i can gather yasmin still poses the same risk of strokes, dvt's etc that the older generation pills did so as far as i can see there really is no major benefit it yasmin over any other brand......to any ladies who are thinking about switching to yasmin DON'T it is not worth the risk!!!! boycot this pill,it is pure evil in tablet form! Even the FDA made the makers stop advertising that it was better than other brands because of it's "unique" ingredient,it has been tested and has been found to be NO BETTER than any other pill. i personally think the "unique" ingredient is the one that causes the most harm.

Thanks you Chrissy, I'm really hoping this is what has been causing me this aggravation. Regardless of what the dr.'s say or not. Like I said I just got this theory yesterday, but m first dr. said I needed a therapist. Nice Dr. huh!. I'm normally a perfectly happy healthy person. It's so weird that all of this would come on after 3 yrs., but I guess anything is possible. I'm still having the chest pains, but I'm hoping that they will dissipate with in time. It hasn't even been 24 hrs. yet. But I'd be curious to see if anyone else has had all or most of my symptoms. Especially the rapid weight gain.
Thanks for the advice.

I have been taking Desogen for about 7 months, and have been experiencing low sex drive, mood swings (perfectly happy one minute then one small negative thing will put me in a horrible mood instantly) and much heavier bleeding than with my previous pills. I have also gained weight recently (about 5 pounds) but that could very well be due to a change in eating habits.

I just want to say that I was on YAZ for 1 1/2 years and I had absolutely no problems with it. In fact, YAZ was one of two birth control pills that I was on that didn't make me sick, out of five. Yes, sometimes I have anxiety, I'm depressed, bitchy, etc, but it is because I am Bi-polar and have been diagnosed for years now. I hate to sound insensitive, but maybe some of you ladies are just crazy like me. Also, birth control pills pump hormones into your body, and hello, what do hormones do... they can make us a little irrational, bitchy, depressed, etc. YAZ is not that much different than any other birth control.
I just went on Yasmin, because my insurance covers it better than YAZ. I will keep everyone posted, but I'm not too worried.
