Peritoneal symptoms and conditions

i have been on pred for 3yrs. following surgery for retro peritoneal fibrosis. started at 30mg twice a day experienced over appetite, excess energy. weight gain after 2 1/2 yrs i had a full hip replacement, due to effects of prednisone. i am now on 05mg i should mention that the rpf caused renal failure. kidney function was reduced & pred was the only drug that stabilized my condition. would be interested in any help finding another drug in place of pred. i am 69 yrs. old & in fairly good health otherwise.

Taking low dose of Lipitor 20mg for about 6 months. Genital peritoneal edema gradual but kept getting worse. I had so much swelling that it felt like when I was 9 months pregnant with my son. Labia area of skin was dry and splitting. I had a hemmrhoidectomy (unrelated) 4 months after the hemmroidectomy, I suddenly had an anal fissure that the surgeon said he usually only sees in older male gay patients. I am a 44 year old female. I stopped lipitor. The swelling went down within 3 days and two week later the anal fissure is healing. My doctor that put me on Lipitor says it can't be the Lipitor. He can't exlpain it either. I don't think he plans on reporting my side effects to anyone. Now I have horrible kidney pain. No bladder pain. Doc says some blood in urine. Put me on CIPRO. 36 hours later, pain is worse. Can't bend over to put on my socks. Trying to figure out what to do.
