I was given levaquin 500 mg 6 days ago for phlebitis. Since I started I have had terrible anxiety, panic attacks, fear of dying, nightmares, crying jags, and very sore neck and shoulders. I called my doctor today and asked about the side effects of this medicine. I am NOT going to finish my 10 day dosage. I'm done. I've never been so miserable. This is strange because all this past summer I took low-dose levaquin, 250 mg 4 days a week because I have bartonellosis, a co-infection of Lyme disease. It didn't bother me beyond some leg pain then, but now it's a whole new story. I am TERRIFIED of this antibiotic and modern Western medicine in general.

Just wanted to add my comments on Singuair use...I am 64, suffered from asthma for the last 5 years..have taken Singulair for the past year along with Serevent, Azmacourt and Premarin.... The side-effects I have experienced are the cramping in my calves and feet at night if I have been on my feet a lot during the day. I have just stopped taking Premarin because I seem to be developing phlebitis in my leg veins. Singulair has really helped me avoid using Prednisone. I dont' know what is causing what, but my asthma has really been much more manageable thanks to Singulair.

Im taking Desogen for 5 months now and at the beginning I was doing fine. Recently I got this condition called Phlebitis and I truly pray to God that no one gets it. It an inflammation of the vein and my doctor told me it is probably for the birth control. I was in the hospital for 2 days in a half and it was the work ever. I couldn't work for two weeks because any movement you will do will hurt like crazy. I'm going to stop taking the pill. Also, I started breaking out more.

I have been on Warfarin for three months for a DVT in my femoral vein. I get some headaches, fatigue, feel cold, tired and have gained weight. I am a fit middle aged male, back at the gym now and cycling. I eat a balanced low fat high fiber diet, but still cannot shift the weight. I have been a depressive for most of my life and although manage without drugs have resorted to Valium to help me sleep, as insomnia has also been a significant side effect. I do not sit around, drink excessively or eat like a pig, so where is the weight coming from? My GP's seems ambivalent and it took five weeks to diagnose my DVT after my complaining about Phlebitis and pains in my groin. Not a happy bunny.
