Has anyone heard of a lawsuit that is being filed against the makers of Yaz? I used this pill last year and it was freaking awful (see my post on May 10, 2008). I am not the type to stay quiet when angry. I have made complaints about my former doctors who refused to listen to me about this pill. I sent complaints to the doctors, called the clinic's/hopital's patients advocates departments and I've also written complaints to the Missouri State Board of Healing Arts. It's not the doctors' faults that this pill is so terrible. However, I do think doctors need to realize that health care is a partnership between patient and doctor and need to listen to their patients' worries and concerns. Trust me, what I did was definitely a step in the right direction. Once my family doctor found out I reported him to the state and that I made a complaint to his office manager/patients advocacy administrator he called and left a message on my answering machine. He was so nervous and you could hear it in his voice, he couldn't even recite the phone number where he wanted me to reach him (I saved this message for entertainment purposes). Anyways, like I said before, if anyone knows of a lawsuit being filed I'd like to know. I'm going to go search for information now. Thanks!

Can anyone tell me if I'm going mad or if it's my Mirena?
I had a Mirena for 5 years (inserted in 2003), then had another one put in in October 2008. I have no periods - great. BUT I feel absolutely dire. I have depression and anxiety (I feel like I'm seriously going CRAZY sometimes, to the point where I'm worried about getting sectioned cos I can't handle the overwhelming feelings), I feel like my head is full of fog, I have dizziness, when i stand up I feel faint, I am crying (I usually never cry), I don't feel like i can cope with anything except the barest minimum to get myself and my family through the day. My 12-year-old son asked me if i have early-onset Alzheimers because I can't remember anything. If I was feeling ok I'd find that funny, but it broke my heart.
My previous Mirena was fine, I felt ok. Please can anyone help me?

My Daughter was twelve when she got her first and second Gardasil shot. The first shot went well other than the normal irritation after the injection. The second shot hurt a bit worse and for longer after, but we thought nothing of it. Slowly, she started to get very down and very tired, it was around the holiday season so we thought maybe she was just stressed out. Then, she started bleeding vaginally. There were no "warning signs" that she was starting her period, so we treated it as a Urinary Tract infection, and that's what the doctor's told us it was, until a month later, she got it again and we found that it was her period. She also started having MAJOR stomach issues, having two colon scopes, and many other tests (as well as tests for Urinary Issues as well). All have so far come back negative, but all this started occurring exactly ONE MONTH after her second shot. Needless to say, please read her about her other symptoms, and the other posts on this site and others. Gardasil, does not seem to be as safe as they say.

I have contacted an attorney in Delaware who is willing to pursue a possible class action suit. I explained my side effects from this drug and told him of the countless others that are suffering as well. He said if I was willing to do the "legwork" and gather up names of others who would like to join this suit, perhaps we could get a class action started. If anyone is interested please reply by contacting me at ***** Please be sure to type "Kenalog" as the subject and include your name, email address, and a description of your experience with Kenalog. I will than gather your responses and forward them to the attorney. He will than contact you individually, so please include a contact number. This will take some time. So please be patient, as you know these cases take time. I have spent 15 months trying to get some kind of help from various doctors, to no avail. Someone needs to step up and take responsibility.
Hope to hear from many of you. Thank You

I have had the Merina for 4 years. I never had any problem with it...up untill now. Insertion was easy and my periods stayed regular. No problems at all. I even recommended it to all my friends. This last year I have had so much depression and phantom pregnancies. I keep thinking I am pregnant when I am not. I think my body is not agreeing with the hormones.
My friend had hers removed after 1 month due to weight gain.
My sister's started to fall out and now she is 6 months pregnant. She had it removed as soon as she found out she was preg.
I wanted to let you all know there is a link and phone number on the Merina website to report negative side effects to the FDA.

I have founded an advocacy group called Parents United for Pharmaceutical Safety and Accountability. The activities of this group will include supporting Kate and Dave Miller's efforts to initiate change in the adverse event reporting system and failed system of updated drug info notification to physicians and pharmacies, and to educate the public and motivate them to demand change too. Another activity will be to educate the public about the dangers of Singulair and how to spot adverse reactions. And finally, the biggie: putting pressure on the FDA to AT LEAST "black box" Singulair.
I personally wonder how many people out there have experienced adverse reactions to Singulair. At some point, if the FDA lets us down, I want the group to conduct its own study to determine this and maybe identify new adverse reaction?
Hopefully the website will go live next week. Anyone who wants to volunteer or give input is invited to sign up via a private message to me at this site. If you provide your email address I will contact you when the site goes live. If you would like to speak to me directly, send me your phone number and I will call you.
I have already contacted some of you directly, and if I have not yet gotten back to you, forgive me, I will.
Thanks in advance for any support you can give!

Hello ladies. I have had the Mirena removed now for about 2 months and i feel a lot better. I am not sure if i posted here or another forum but i have experienced terrible side effects from this thing being in my body. my side effects included
painful joints( i felt like a 80 something year old)
lower back pain
Chest pain ( which i still experience on and off now)
numbness on my fingers and toes ( which i still have to some degree)
sharp abdominal pains
extreme anxiety
tired all the time
spasms in my hands and legs especially my left side
headaches and the list can go on and on.
My doctor did not believe the mirena was causing all of this even though i had been a very healthy person with no medical complaints at all before the mirena was inserted.
Did i read somewhere about a class action lawsuit? Because i will definitely look into it for all the suffering this thing has put me through.
Thanks everyone for posting. Information is power!

I took 500 mg. of Levaquin for 10 days in January and caused extreme swelling and pain in both my knees, which I am still suffering from. I've had x-rays and an MRI of my left knee, which shows tearing of the tendons. I had my knee drained and injected and while it's a little better, the pain and swelling is still affecting my lifestyle, to where it's very difficult for me to walk stairs, and has affected my exercise routine as well.
Has anyone thought of filing a class action lawsuit against the manufacturer of this poison? I have filed a Medwatch report with the FDA and called the manufacturer of the medication. They offered to refund the cost of the medication if I sent in the receipt, as well as possibly refunding the costs of the procedures associated with this.

Unfortunately my lawyer told me that they do not want to take our case because of the lack of evidence that Singulair has caused our daughters problems. :(
Does anyone out there have a pending class action lawsuit that We may be able to get in on? I have tons of proof that Singulair has caused our daughters problems and loss of almost 5 years of her elementary school career!
My phone number is *** and my email is ****** if You email me please put "Singulair" in Your subject line so I know it pertains to this posting.
Thank You in advance,

Hi to all,
I am Cody Miller's mom, the boy who took his life after 17 days on SINGULAIR.I am just checking back to read some postings and I am truly amazed and saddened at the stories.I believe that if you follow through by filing your side effects with the FDA , advise anyone you know to do the same, the seriousness of this drugs danger cannot be hidden or ignored any longer. We have met with some knowledgable people on the drug company Mercks outlandish ,irresponsible practices .They said, the thing that helps in cases like this are,< REPORTS AND PHONE CALLS TO THE FDA>This is what we are being told.I have copied the pages on this website and, the Congresswomans that is helping us, has scanned your stories to disk.We will be taking them to Washington DC on May 2 to speak to the FDA.These stories cannot be ignored. Please make sure you look at all the serious side effects. When speaking to your doctor, let them know that this drug can cause alot of things besides suicide, although that is a serious added side effect. It can slowly steal the quality of your childs life and your family's life.Risk to benefit is all I am reminding everyone of,it seems the doctors sometimes dont look at the overall picture.I do believe however that more physicians are looking at this with eyes wide open, now that people are putting two and two together. My quest is relabeling this drug ,after removing it from the market to study further.Safety should be first ,not profit for GIANT PHARMECUETICAL COMPANIES.Your voices will be heard if you just make waves , have some faith. My husband and I will make it known to all who will listen, we are not alone in our request. They must seriously evaluate this drug and it's benefit to risk ratio, childrens lives are dependent on this important investigation. You can find the phone number to the FDA on the website if this number does not work,718-340-7000ext.5657 Alice in Jamaica New York. This person will direct you if your having difficulty filing on medwatch.com.She will file while on the phone with you. Please again, take these steps to move this important matter forward in the right direction.Blessings to all Kate Miller

If anyone else is preparing for a class action suit please contact me so our attourneys can share information. The more of us that stick together the better chances we have of making the Merck company pay for thier lies about the so called "Mild Side Effects of Singulair!

LET'S RAISE AWARENESS TOGETHER and stop more damage from occurring. Remember, my son (post is far down) almost became a vegetable and was given a grim prognosis by 2 pediatric neurologists including the top one at Duke. No cure we were told. But we always knew it was Singulair. He was cured and there is no medical explanation. Had he continued to take it he would be the vegetable they had predicted he'd become.
Okay, I just emailed DATELINE NBC - please be sure to submit your children's adverse reactions story to them - here is the email address:
******
I also tried emailing ABC for PrimeTime and 20/20 but they use regular snail mail for story suggestions - please do your part and mail out your story to them at:
To submit a story idea to one of the ABC News shows listed below, write a single page letter including your name, phone number, and address. Include photocopies of backup information. On the outside of the envelope, write "Story Idea." If a producer is interested in your story, he/she will contact you. Here are the show addresses:

I too experienced an indentation from a kenalog shot. My experience is a little different though, because I received the shots on my face for acne. I received four shots and two out of the four depressed / indented. I was EXTREMELY depressed and felt hopeless after reading it would take 6 months to a year (or more) to have my skin gash-free. I stayed up for two days straight searching for some sort of help on the internet and found a medical article about something called saline infiltration. It is a relatively new procedure and was created by "one of the best dermatologists in the country". I was so desperate, that the next morning I drove to see him in La Jolla, Ca (I live in LA). I received shots in the problem areas. It is now two days later and my indents are about 80% better!! He told me to give it another couple of days to see complete restoration, and if not, said that one more treatment should make everything 100% normal again. Needless to say, I am thrilled!! I do not know if this will work for any of your situations (being that the dr. is a dermatologist and the shot was initially given for acne), but I thought I would share my great news and hopefully help at least one person out there dealing with this mess.

I had a Kenalog shot for my C-Section scar/keloid. I asked my OBGYN are there any side effects to this shot, he replyed absolutely "no side effects whatsoever". Since the shot I have not stopped bleeding, everyday for almost 2 months now. Also I was rushed to emergency for projectile vomiting black vomite which turned out to be blood.(I also collapsed, right after the Kenalog shot and a nurse wheelchaired me to my mom's car). Anyway I the most scary thing is the vomiting blood, which has been in my stomach since the Kenalog shot. After seeing dozens of doctors, I read the microscopic print on the drug (which was never disclosed at the time I had the shot) Kenalog creates Peptic Ulcers and Gastrointestinal Bleeding in addition to the irregular periods. Anyone with me for a class action lawsuit to stop this drug from hurting and in some cases killing people?

After being on the generic for Wellbutrin for several months, I started experiencing a lot of hair loss. I've never had a problem with this before; have always had a good, full head of hair. It's very distressing. I'm going to stop taking this drug and see if things improve. Has anyone had an experience with stopping and have had this side effect reverse?
I'm also having a memory problem that is extremely upsetting. At times I've been fairly convinced it's Alzheimer's. A most definite change for me - I've been able to remember phone numbers, zip codes, passwords, etc. for years, but no more. I can forget a password or phone number in a matter of seconds.
