Piece of paper symptoms and conditions

I've been on doxy for one week now for my Lyme . I'm usually a happy person, and I'm just another normal 15 year old. I've been feeling like I'm losing my mind. I woke up @ 5 am thinking it was 7 due to the massive headache I woke up to and my blurred vision. I've been forgetting a lot of things lately, not the best time because I have final exams. I have also been crying for no reason and a little jumpy. Today I ran away from what I thought was a spider it was a piece of paper. I felt like I was dying the 2nd day I took it. Now I have a random rash spreading throughout my leg.
Well glad to know I'm not a lone on feeling like I'm going crazy.

Like many of the other stories my daughter was a happy healthy 14 year old high school freshman prior to receiving the Gardasil vaccine. Now she is chronically ill suffering from pancreatitis, gastrointestinal disorders including extreme nausea,vomiting,and diarrhea,headaches,blurred vision,pain,fatigue,hypersensitivity to light and sound,and has had pneumonia twice.We have recently spent 8 weeks in two different hospitals to return home with still no answers as to how to end this nightmare. She has a central line so that we can give her IV nutrition TPN and Lipids, is on 5 nausea medicines and 1 pain medicine every 6 hours round the clock just to keep her comfortable. We are going to take her to Mayo's with the hope they can help us, I refuse to accept the fact that this is what her life has become and that our only option is to treat the symptoms. The doctors so far are completely clueless without it being in black and white on a piece of paper from a test result they seem to dismiss you with out any compassion at all, I wonder if they would have that same additude if this was their daughter. If anyone out there has found any kind of help please let me know. I can't believe Merck is still being allowed to poison our young girls while the FDA looks the other way!

My daughter who is ten has been taking singular for two years. My uncle and my mom had both told me about the recent report. I was outraged. Since I didn't see it myself, I got online to check it out. I am so pissed off. My daughter has at times seemed to be depressed, my husband and I just thought it was a phase. She was never consistently depressed, more of an up and down thing. And she was fatigued from time to time. I never made the connection to Singular. I mean seriously it's an allergy medicine. And I always read the label. Never once have I ever seen a label say " may cause depression, or suicidal thoughts." I immediately took her off of it. Her last dose was 3/27/08. I noticed a difference almost right away. With in a day or so she seemed to be happier. I am so pissed off at myself and the doctors. of course I would have no way of knowing singular could cause this. I guess as a mom I feel like I should have know. I feel horrible!! Never once have they ever said anything of these reports. The FDA will be hearing from me. They hand out the medications like candy and have no idea what it really does to people. I just PRAY that my daughter, my nephew ( who was also on it for quite some time) and all these other kids out there have no lasting side effects from this medication. I too was taking LIPITOR. After 3 months I became short of breath. At first I put it down to the weight that I had regained.I had lost 18kg.the year before. I had muscle pain, nausea, headaches.The Lipitor reduced the LDL alright,but the shortness of breath became worse and worse. If I was sitting on a chair and dropped a piece of paper on the floor I would be completely out of breath from bending over and picking it up! If I was walking for more than a few minutes I would be out of breath and had to stop. I quickly regained my breath; but the moment I started to walk again I would become breathless again!! My heart specialist decide to do an angiogram, that was o.k. He told me it was my weight that made me short of breath, I disagreed with him. My G.P. did not know what caused it either. I had had problems with Pravachol, severe muscles stiffness and pain. I could not straighten a bend leg or bend a straight leg.It was only after I studied the enclosed leaflet in the box of Lipitor that I noticed the RARE BUT SERIOUS SIDE EFFECT: Shortness of breath, if you suffer from this stop straight away and see your Dr. it said. It turned out that the ALVEOLI are affected. I had a lung function test done which showed my lung capacity was down by 20%.After cortisone treatment it has improved a bit but it is still 10% down and it effects me every day. I tire quickly and get out of breath walking uphill or against the wind.If there is a class action going let me know please! I am so fed up . I am only 63 but feel like an old woman.I will not take anymore cholesterol lowering medication; I rather live 5 years less, if that is the consequence.

This is a nightmare. I have been on Lamictal 200 mg, tab in morning, for approx. 5 months. About 3 1/2 months ago I started getting muscles aches and weakness, muscle overuse problems, fluid retention ( like 12 pounds), stayed in a trance with very little short term memory. Thought it was everything but this medicine....I am an avid athelite, yes, even at 51. So, I blamed myself for not slowing down. Quick exercising totally, for 2 months, iced 3 times a day on leg muscles. Finally after making it to the summer without a mental breakdown, I went to the emergency room and a new internist to get checked out. Blood work, thyroid, hormones,ok.... Really don't care what they think , I can not walk, it hurts like hell. The Dr. did tell me to get off Lamictal....ok 7th day and I have some relief but it is not complete. Called manufactures, interesting, yes- these are side effects!!! But the studies are limited. Listen , unless you have seizures, get off this medicine... you read the full disclosure of side effects and then search yourself......It can ba a huge FOOOOOPA.....And you are the fool that will end up holdling the bag, not the manufacturer. Hopefully I will get better. Right now , I just trying to stay calm.

I'm 47 years old and my reactions to Omnicef are similar to some of your children. It seems to trigger a fear and anxiety switch in the brain, I would wake up terrified at any little noise. I also lost the use of one hand (couldn't pick up a piece of paper or cut food) for about 2 months, now have part use back with severe nerve damage. I stopped the Omnicef after a week or two, but the fear and anxiety have remained at a low level and the nerve damage seems permanent. Just wanted you to be aware in case your children experience these things and are unable to verbalize it.

I was prescribed Cipro for a UTI and about an hour after taking the first pill (1000mg) I began to feel sick. My face went red and really hot. My tendons in my neck amd shoulders were in so much pain. I could barely swallow juice as it felt as though my arms were being ripped from my shoulders when I did. I thought it may be the flu and went to bed. The next morning, I tried to get up, but my arms and legs were so badly inflammed that I could not even stand without collapsing and I couldn't even hold a piece of paper. I was taken to the hospital and they had no idea what it was. I was in a semi vegetative state by the time I got to the hospital. The Dr. gave me morphine to help me, but that did absolutelt nothing. After hours of test and IV's, they sent me home with nothing but to stay in bed and drink lots of fluids, to flush the Cipro out of my system. They couldn't answer if this tendon pain could be permanent or why it was so bad. I would definately tell people never to take this drug. I seriously, have never been in so much pain in my whole life. And I have had a number of surgeries and broken bones. I would take them over this any day. ! and a half weeks later, I am still in some pain in my legs and forearms and head.

I started taking Lipitor at the advice of my physcician even though I had just lowered my high cholesterol to normal levels by diet alone. Go figure. He said that new studies show that people with diebetis should take it because they have an increased chance of having a heart attack. I have diabetis but is controled by diet. So I reluctantly started taking it. I took 10 mg. At first, within a week I developed a fever I could not explain. Although my doctor said that Lipitor doesn't cause fevers, the warning on the package of the prescription said to stop taking it and consult your doctor if you develop a fever after taking. Mine was getting up to 102 degrees for about 4 or five days. I quit taking Lipitor and my fevers stopped. He accused me of "non-compliance" and told me to start taking them at bedtime instead of daytime. I thought I'd try again. No fevers but, I developed a severe neck pain on the left side that felt like a tight band or chord from under my chin, where the glands are, and it progressively over a few days moved down to my underarm. It would start every morning as soon as I awoke. It felt like any small movement really strained my muscles on that side of my neck. Then around the same time, I developed a pain in my knee. I thought I was just uncomfortable from our van and not having enough room, but I never had the pain before taking Lipitor. I also at the time, developed an excruciating and dibilitating pain in my right arm. It got so severe that I could not even lift a piece of paper without it hurting. I'd fell a sensation of burning as well as muscle weakness and pain whenever I moved it just slightly. I didn't even imagine it was all from Lipitor. My salvation was that I had forgotten to take it for about 3 nights in a row and to my surprise, I stopped experiencing the pain I was having with my neck, my knee and my arm! Then I decided to see if I could find out if there were any dangers to taking Lipitor before I started taking it again, and I found this site and read all the testimonials. I am convinced now that Lipitor was causing my fevers, my pain and is a very dangerous drug. I WILL NOT take it ever again. Thanks to this site, we are all warned. I have been taking Yasmin for at least 6 months now. I hate it now. I have the absolute worst cramps ever. I cramp so bad I think I'm in labor or something. The pain shoots down my right thigh too. I am 27 years old and I havent had cramps like these since I was 13. My flow is very brown and like a gooey clunky consistency. It's gross. I'm also noticing my breasts are swollen, I've gained at least 10 lbs., I go through intense hunger spells, I'm tired - don't want to get out of bed in the morning, and now I've even got acne again. I also experienced a weird eye thing a few months ago. I went to the eye doctor he said I had floaters -- this didn't look like floaters to me -- they looked like someone took a pencil and dotted a whole bunch of little dots on a piece of paper -- that is what I was looking through for about 3 weeks. Drove me crazy. I was taking Ortho Novum 777 (tri-phasil) for 2 years before I switched to Yasmin (mono-phasil). With 777 I had really bad migraine headaches. With Yasmin -- pretty much no headaches. But the cramps -- the cramps give me a headache from the pain now. I'm calling my doctor to make an appointment to talk about putting me on a new pill. I'm going to ask about the new Ortho TriCyclen-Lo. I'm also calling Berlex Labs at 1-888-237-5394 to tell them about my horrible side effects.
