I was taking an over the counter guaifenesin-based cough syrup twice a day (150mg each dose) for approximately 10 days in an attempt to make my cough more productive. A nickel-sized pink patch appeared on the right side of my chin. I continued to take the guaifenesin thinking the reaction on my face was contact dermatitis from my phone. The pink patch turned dark red, then got very swollen (the whole lower side of my face swelled) and began to weep clear fluid. I immediately stopped taking the guai (I hadn't used my phone for days, clearly it was not the culprit). Surrounding the original red patch was a new pink patch which looked like it was going to take the same route, but because I stopped taking the guaifenesin the reaction was never as severe. The hives eventually scaled over and peeled.

Three months after my second Kenalog shot for allergies a indent in my butt about the size of a quarter which is sometimes purple and sometimes pink showed up. It is sore like I just got the shot. I returned to the doctor and she knew what it was immediately. She said it would go away in 3 to 6 months, and it some people maybe several years. It is also possible that a slight indent would remain, but it should not get any larger. She said other shots can do the same???
Will see what happens. I won't ever get the shot again.

I started my son on Singulair in Kindergarten. His teacher mentioned he was having problems concentrating, every day seemed like she had to start over ... he didn't comprehend a thing from day to day. She suggested he go through a bunch of testing (which cost me over $2,000). I ended up taking him off the drug (he was not good at taking the med at his age). All of the sudden he was doing better. I didn't put 2 + 2 together. He was fine in 1st grade. In the summer before 2nd grade, we started the Singulair again. He has been taking it for 9 months ... this has been the worse year for us, teacher conferences, thousands of dollars spent on tutoring and testing and he isn't retaining anything he learns. I walked into the office this a.m. and another gal mentioned she was having the same problems with her child and it was the SINGULAIR - she took him off it and he was so much better. I'm taking him off it starting today and hoping he doesn't have to repeat 2nd grade all because of a stupid pink pill. I'm calling my pediatrician and warning them of this drug.

My son was prescribed Singulair for a seasonal bronchial condition. It seemed to be the answer to his problems as the chronic cough stopped. HOWEVER, since then I have had many meetings with his teachers regarding his lack of ability to focus, inability to follow directions, retention and comprehension. In addition, he recently has develped a twitch in his eye where he blinks often and says that his eye burns him. I am so upset. To think that I had such incredible faith in this "wonder" medication that helped my son's cough, but has had such a detrimental effect on his school work. I am stopping the medication today in the hopes that I can save my son's self esteem. I wish somebody had told me what to look out for. After many meetings with teachers and school psychologists I could simply have stopped it all by taking him off the medication. The answer to his difficulty was there in the pink little pill he takes every night. Shame on me. Shame on me. No more singulair for my boy. Never again.

I have experienced many of the symptoms listed here, but my biggest concern has been about my breasts. I've been on Yasmin for 2 1/2 months and my breasts have grown by half a cup size or more. They were EXTREMELY tender at first, but have calmed down some in that department. What's bugging me more so is that they seem a bit red, or pink in some areas. now, this could make sense considering they have grown quite a bit in the last month and theyre sore, but has anyone else experienced this? stretch marks because of the growth (that's not necessarily my case), or any pink/redness in some areas of your breasts?
any reply would be appreciated.

I am a 39 year old woman and I had extensive eye surgery (right eye) on 12-2-03. At the end of the surgery the doctor injected 100 mg. of kenalog in my conjunctive (the pink part inside the lower eye lid). Just the other day (six weeks after surgery) I noticed that underneath my eye was looking sunken in. The skin is very thin and my eye bone is very visible. It looks as though the muscle and fat are gone. It looks horrible! I thought it might be damage due to the retractors the surgeon used to hold open my eye during the 1 1/2 hour surgery. After reading all this information I am sure that it is from the high dose kenalog injection. Also, and I am stunned that this may be related to another problem I am currently having... A period every two weeks. Never in my wildest imagination would I have suspected that to be related to my horrible looking eye.

well, i've been on pred the dread for my whole life on and off. First it was for asthma as a kid then at 15 for a brain tumor and on and off since i was 17 for crohn's. I just went back on it 2 days ago and was so distraught I dyed my hair pink just to make myself a lil more humorous. I hate Prednisone more than anything. And hopefully the remicade will kick in soon so I can get off of it. My moon face from the last time I was on it just started to fade and now I anticipate it will be back. buffalo hump, round face, hips popping out of joint, mood swings like I'm bipolar, hungry and can't sleep. Next week is my 22nd b-day. what a way to celebrate...

My PCP switched me from norvasc to lotrel effective 12/10/02. Swollen fingers is the side effect. The hands and the fingers look pink also, especially the left-hand & fingers.
