i've been on this med (28) for 4 months and have: gained 15lbs, severe cramping, mood swings, depression, loss of sexual interest, heavy bleeding, when i am on my period, bladder infections(when never before), my breast grew with the 1st month of use and the pain then was so unbearable that even now they are sometimes so tender for a whole week before my period starts that it hurts to shower! i say this pill is somewhat effective because i was bleeding months on end and so far this pill has somewhat helped; however, when i am on my period, the first 2 days are really heavy and recently i seem to be starting my period before i am done using the pink pills. . . i don't want to be bleeding abnormally, but i can not afford to be gaining more weight or feeling depressed all the time. . .

I have been taking Yasmin for 3 weeks now I am into my 4th week. I have taken two white dummy pills already and I have yet to get my period. I wasn't aware that Yasmin takes your period away. Is that a normal side effect of this birth control? I have had breast tenderness since I started taking Yasmin. I started the pill in the first 24 hours of my period and for the first week I thought my period would go away and just come again when I started the white pills at the end of the month but that did not happen. My period lasted 7 days while taking the pink pills in my first week. There was a lot of blood clots during my cycle which I never had before. Has anyone else had this symptom when they first started taking Yasmin? I have a doctors appt on the 29th of this month for a separate condition but I plan to ask the doctor about these symptoms. Has anyone else had any of these related experiences?

This bc I started using after the NuvaRing... due to bad side effects with NuvaRing even though the idea is amazing... but on the lo orval .. I found that they have a little bit higher increase in my sex drive and not cramping at all like with the NuvaRing ring. Every body is different.. but so far so good and been on it for 7months now.
OO i find that the pink pills *7 of them... they start on a Sunday and my cycle actually normally starts on the Thurs/Fri am. SO don't panic if you only have 2 pink pills left and you haven't started yet.

I have read most of the postings on Yasmin but I haven't seen one where women pointed out experiencing terrible amounts of clots and incredible amounts of actual mensing... So it makes me wonder if I have another underlying condition? I have been taking Yasmin for about18 days now, started on my first day of mensing, and 18 days later, still mensing like there is no tomorrow and passing clots the size of the palm of my hands at times!!! It's unreal! And I went and bought 3 packages, I wanted to finish one and see but I think it's all gonna go to garbage now!! And to say I use to have a 30 day cycle with 2 days of pre-spotting followed by 3 days of actual mensing... some clots but not half as big and certainly not as many!!! Very disappointed with Yasmin. I am done with it.

I'm currently taking this drug for Migraines. I had a question though, nobody's been able to answer this. Why is this drug a narcotic? It does nothing for me. The big pink pills are disgusting too, they leave a horrible taste.

also, the only thing that i have gotten from these pills is cotton mouth!
