Wow! Here I was thinking that I had gone crazy, and then I found this site. I have had Mirena since Aug. 2008. I have had problems since day 1. I cannot gain any weight, my head hurts all day, and the mood swings are tearing me apart. Since, reading the post I have decided to get it removed. There has to be a better way than this. Periods lasting two weeks is not what I signed up for nor the the sharp pain that kept me up half the night in a fetal position. Thanks to everyone on this site I hope to be pain free soon.

hi guys,

finding your posts so helpful.
i've been on yasmin for nearly 5 years and its only just dawned on me recently that my:
-anxiety/mood swings/erratic behaviour
-body hair growth
-weight gain
-increase in discharge etcetc
could actually be from the pill!!

i was always so bubbly and strong but i seem to cry now at silly things and i just don't feel myself. i initially went on the pill when i was 17 because my periods were so bad but i'm not sure what to do now... change pill or come off pills altogether?!

i'd love some feedback if any of you have been in a similar position, thanks so much
