Positive and negative symptoms and conditions

I think everyone here has to realize that they just had bad luck with the pill. every medication generally acts differently with everyone on the planet. i've been on loestrin for about a year now and ive had positive and negative side effects. i lost weight and my boobs grew. it had no effect on my cramps or amount of blood. it just changed the color of the blood to a brownish, and my boobs are sore sometimes. so im just going to go to my doctor and tell her. i think everyone here needs to realize you should just be able to talk to your doctor over the phone when something happens that you feel is not normal. ive called my gyno several times about side effects i was having. i see people on here posting about having these symptoms for over a year...so why not switch? come on people your doctor is there for a reason.

i've been using nuvaring for 8 months...it's taken me this long to realize that it's the ring that's making me feel CRAZY...wow!! Most symptoms I have are already mentioned here....but, i think it's all horomonal birth control! I will mention my top two positive and negative side effects:
POSITIVE: No weight gain, bigger boobies. NEGATIVE: Extreme moodiness to the point i feel evil and that's sooo not me, chronic severe headaches.....and the list could go on.

I will stop taking this in a couple weeks...I wish everyone here the best!!

I was doing a search on the net for symptoms relating to menstrual like pains (no where near my period), headaches, and frequent urination. I was begining to think I was crazy or that I was pregnant again (had 1st baby in April '03). I just had my period last week and started my new pack of Yasmin on Sunday. After reading this I feel so much better knowing that I'm probably not pregnant again and that I'm not imagining the symptoms. I go to my Ob-Gyn on Monday so I think I will discuss some of the things I'm going thru with her. Thanks to all who have posted positive and negative symptoms!

I'm really glad I read the entries on this web site--after being on Yasmin for 3 months, I'm having a hard time weighing the positive and negative side effects. I notice I am VERY thirsty and listless since I started....And I have a pain in my chest almost all the time. I work out about 3 times a week and notice in the middle of cardio I get terrible pain like I've ran 5 miles when I've gone barely 2.
The positive effects have been lighter flow during my period and less moodiness during PMS. My breasts have grown a little bit as well(I need all the help I can get and surgery is nothing I would consider ;)
My skin is also drier since I started taking Yasmin... I know that ALL birth control pills have negative effects at least in some way. But I took Ortho Novum 1/35(old school pill) and never experienced the constant thirst or other effects I mentioned...
