I have had the Mirena in since I was 12 weeks postpartum. My daughter is now five months old. I have had so many side effects that I also thought were due to just having a baby and the life changes that follow (plus my kids are 12 months and 1 day apart so who knows what's out of wack once you've been pregnant for two years straight!). I've had some headaches, sleeplessness, so many pregnancy symptoms I took a pregnancy test and had the doctor do one, incredible moodiness, I hate being touched (I felt this way with both pregnancies), no libido...all of these have made in incredible strain on my marriage. If things don't improve between us a few months after I get this hell-stick IUD removed we're going to couples therapy! I was diagnosed with depression at 14, but it has been under control since then. However, since Mirena I have been incredibly depressed. I have been on birth control since 14 due to terrible periods/cramping etc and never had an issue. I am going to switch to the copper/hormone free IUD and just pray my periods have changed now that I've had two children. Wish me luck!!!!!!!!!!!

I was using the Nuvaring for about six months and It started to make my vagina sore, so I took it out for about two months. After my second period ending without having it in, I put in a new one; it has been two weeks and I am potting and getting terrible cramps. I don't know what is really going on and it concerns me because every symptom list I have looked at claims they are pregnancy symptoms or ovarian cancer. ah!

I'm glad I found this website. I have been trying to figure out what to do. I have had my Mirena since May 2008. My 3rd child was born March 2008. Since then I lost all my baby weight stopped nursing about two months ago and WOW!! I have put on so much weight in the past two months. Clothing I bought in May of this year are to small. I have never had a problem with weight, I may gain a couple pounds then lose it right away. Now I can tell a difference every week with my weight. I've had pregnancy symptoms with negative results. I was really hoping I was that would explain the constant weight gain. I have tried watching what I eat and that does not help like it did before. I have no sex drive, very moody and just feel so bloated. I have not had a period since I got pregnant with my son June of 2007. I don't see how this is good for my body either. I go to my Gyn in September I am hoping she has some answers b/c if all of this is from the Mirena, then I need it taken out.

I got Mirena in March 2009 as my ob thought it would be great for me. Shortly after, I started having nausea, headaches, pregnancy symptoms (big appetite, cravings, swollen stomach, etc), hot flashes, severe mood swings, extreme uncontrollable behavior, no sex drive (partly due to constant brown discharge & the sweating from the hot flashes I always felt gross). Luckily, my husband & my family know me enough to know that this wasn't like me. My husband recognized that the time that it all started is when I had Mirena put in. I had it removed Thursday, July 9th, and things are getting back to normal. It is really scary that a drug can have this type of effect on someone. If my husband wouldn't have recognized that it wasn't me, we would've ended up divorced b/c I know I was an emotional wreck!! I really wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.

I got my mirena put in in nov of 07 after i had my son. i had really light periods after then i bleed for 1 day every 3 months til june of 08 when i bleed lightly for the whole month. then October of 08 they stopped completely and its been sooo great ! but now thats its june 09 my weight no matter how hard i try doesn't seem to go away i don't gain but i don't loose neither. I talk to some of my friends and they agree. Now i was told that its supposed to trick your body into believing your pregnant to make the periods go away but now im not sure but on the other hand i have sooo many pregnancy symptoms but i know im not... i got the wanna eat everything in site, bloating, peeing like crazy. yeast infections that spread up my stomach and when i get it to go away i get to enjoy sex and it comes right back. my friend took water pills and lost like 10 pounds, why would that happen and since a lot of personal issues are based on self image why do we have to deal? i just turned 23 yesterday and i have causal sex with my boyfriend, there are alternative methods that i wouldn't need the IUD.. Im so confused because i really like it but at the same time i have lower back pain, headaches, infections, acne, and sometimes a highly depressive state. now as for acne i took a womens vitamin and cleaned with a deep pore cleanser and that helped a lot. My Sex drive is throu the roof ! its like i cant get enough.. before its like it was a chore and now its i want it all the time. my weight don't change and i joined a gym so wheres my money going ya know. waking up with swollen fingers and hands knowing its all water weight makes me mad ... i don't wanna be subjected to water pills or an extreme diet. The insertion they told me to be on my period but i had just finished it... mine hurt like some cramping because my cervix is small. after i was fine, and my friend said it didn't hurt at all and she was on her period.. sometimes i can feel it during sex and so can my partner but i get some cramping and its over. sooo now im debating on what i want to do cause i would like to get my weight under control and actually feel motivated to do things which i don't anymore. I will make an apt with the doctor thou cause it seems it happens to a lot of people but is supposed to be normal or not caused by mirena ... huh whose not writing down the facts.

I started taking Yasmin 3-4 weeks ago and within the first few days I started having pregnancy symptoms; breast tenderness, fatigue, nausea. What's worse is that my sex drive is gone and I feel angry all the time! I'll definitely be getting off of this pill soon! Does anyone have any recommendations for a different pill???

DO NOT GET MIRENA! I am only 24 and mother of a 16 month old beautiful baby girl. I decided to have Mirena put in 2 months ago. The insertion itself was extremely painful, after being told it wouldn't hurt. I bled for a couple weeks after. Everything seemed fairly normal according to symptoms of insertion. Then, a couple weeks ago, I noticed I was having a lot of pain during sex. This progressed into severe lower ab (mainly on the right side) and back pain. I was sent to ER by my OB. They did a pelvic exam and couldn't see the strings thus an ultrasound was ordered. The IUD was there but so was fluid within my pelvis. They told me I had Pelvic Inflammatory Disease PID. I was put on 2 antibiotics and vicodin and sent home. I made a follow up with an OB the next day (mine was on vaca.). I asked him if the IUD caused the PID and of course he said no. I also asked if he suggested I remove the IUD and again he said no. I opted to anyways. The removal was worse than delivering my 9lb 5oz baby. I was crying, screaming and shaking. The Doc kept asking "Oh, does that hurt?" Eventually I yelled "No, it feels good!" He finally removed it told me take my meds and left. I've been bleeding since (that was a week ago) Well I reported him. Either way, after 4 days of antibiotics i was still in severe pain, very very tired and nauseous. So I called my OB and they admitted me to the ER. I had to stay on IV antibiotics for two days. I left the hospital a little sensitive in the pelvis but for the most part pain free. I was and am still just soooo tired and have waves of nausea. I lasted two days pain free and last night the pain returned. I am still on a round of antibiotics which should be done in a few days. I also am very bloated, have sore breasts, increased appetite regardless of the nausea, and peeing a lot. Not sure if i now have a bladder infection but it sure feels like pregnancy symptoms. They did preg. test in ER but came out neg. i think its too soon to tell. nevertheless I am scared and traumatized! I don't know what to do. I have a follow up in 2 weeks with OB. hopefully pain will subside and symptoms are just from PID. Any insight would be helpful....but please don't get the mirena! I am now afraid of my future....i want another baby some day but am unsure of how much damage has really been done.

I had mirena inserted after 2 months after having my daughter, and i was hoping this would be the best birth control ever. BUT i never thought the side effects would be soo bad! At first the insertion did not hurt one bit, but hours later i had severe cramping to the point of not getting out of bed. The cramping lasted about 3 days, and the spotting for about 3 weeks. I did not wanted to get it removed because i figured it would take a while for my body to get used to it, (and b/c i paid 500.00 for it). Here i am almost a year later and i have pregnancy symptoms having periods for 11 out of 12 months. Constant nausea, horrible cramps on each side of my stomach, zero sex drive, and bloating. I am going to make an appointment b/c i am scared that i may have either an eptopic preg. or an ovarian cyst.

First of all, a big thanks to all of you who have shared your experiences. I am a biochemist, with a background in pharmaceutical research...I chose the Mirena IUD after careful consideration of it's active ingredient, Levonorgestrel. The side effect profile seemed pretty acceptable...until I started to experience nearly ALL of them...I am 33 years old and had the Mirena IUD placed in October of 2008 after the birth of my second child in June of 2008. The initial reaction was to be expected...cramping, a little spotting etc...nothing to be alarmed about. I still have yet to have a period (which I really don't miss so no problem there) I never gave a second thought to this until now...for the past month or so (coinciding with the weening process, since I have been nursing the entire time, I believe the side effects were not as noticeable) I have been experiencing the following (that may or may not be related to Mirena as my OBGYN has so adamantly pointed out, but after reviewing your posts I'm willing to bet they're connected) and are in order of occurrence: Major, but temporary, hair loss after 2 months or so; Major respiratory infection lingering over a month with difficulty breathing, tightness and pain in the chest at around 6 mos; And in the past month, several instances of motion-like sickness/ nausea, dizziness, blurred vision, major impatience/ mood swings, loss of appetite (pregnancy-like symptoms...yep, I was thinking man I'd be pretty pissed if I was that 0.01% pregnant statistic), and as of this past weekend, my first aurora migraine with tunnel vision and serious nausea and vomiting, to the point where I went to Urgent Care...who referred me to the ER...who wants to perform a battery of tests including a head CT. I have an appointment with a trusted GP tomorrow to discuss possible root causes...but it is to coincidental that so many women are experiencing these same symptoms! I am certainly leaning towards having this removed. CAN THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE HAD THIS REMOVED PLEASE RESPOND IF YOUR SYMPTOMS SIGNIFICANTLY IMPROVED OR WERE RESOLVED!!! THANK YOU!
These side effects seem to go well beyond a 5% rate of incidence according to all of you who have reported. I will investigate further and keep everyone posted. As someone who is highly experienced in the pharmaceutical industry, you bet your a$$ I'm going to get to the bottom of this! Good luck ladies!

Hello everybody!!
I had a very bad reaction the very first time I took my first YASMIN pil. Well, I took it on a Sunday night at 23h45 and went to bed. 1h00 in the morning I wook up feeling:
-Dizzy,
-My hands and legs heavy
-I had a LOT OF TROUBLE BREATHING/ bad hearth palpitations
-then my whole body started shaking very badly
I felt just horrible, so I called an ambulance. They took me to the hospital and checked everything on me. They told me there was no evidence to say that my reaction was caused by Yasmin. But I am 100% sure, cause I was feeling really healthy and all of a sudden, in 1 hour time I was just feeling horrible. I obviously did not take my 2nd pil….
After recovering, the following week I started with DIANE 35. This time I took 2 pils, but I was feeling very sick (vomiting, could not even eat, etc) all day long so stopped once again.
After talking to different doctors, and seeing that nobody cares… Finally I’ve done some ALLERGY TESTS for YASMIN and DIANE 35. I was just sure that the result would be positive, but I was really surprised when the results showed nothing at all. I just could not understand anything.
I know that my reactions where due to the pils. However the allergy test did not relate my sickness to the pils. Does somebody have an explanation?? Any similar experiences? Do you think that I just cannot take hormone treatments?

Thank you!!!

Im A Teen Mom who had my Mirena put in October 2008 and want to take it out every once in a while I get this really sharp pain on my side like around my right ovary. And I Actually feel pregnancy symptoms like when I was pregnant the sensitive sense to smell, mood swings, and a funny feeling inside of me which feels like sparatic movement. I took a pregnancy test and it came out not pregnant but I don't know how to explain to myself whats the moving. And I also got the discharge a liquidy like very thin non-smelling discharge. Does Any One think it can be an ectopic pregnancy or could have my pregnancy test (clear blue digital) have giving me a false positive.nPlease help you can send me your personal thoughts at ****** Hope to hear from someone soon.

I had my mirena inserted in Feb 08 after my daughter was born. It was very painful and took the doctor two tries because my body kept pushing the first one out. I had AF when it was inserted and never again since then. I thought it was great at first. I loved the idea of feeling more in control of when I would have more children.

At first the only side effect I noticed was an occasional sharp abdominal pain. However, as time progressed I began feeling worse and worse, and it has only been in the last month or so that I realized it was related to the iud. First of all, despite increased exercise and a far healthier diet, I managed to somehow gain about 30 pounds. I also had no energy, had aches and pains ALL over ALL the time, including bad headaches almost everyday. I lost my ability to concentrate, felt like I was constantly in a fog, was depressed, and totally lost my sex drive.

After about 9 months or so of having it in, I also began getting all the pregnancy symptoms... lots of bloating, sore breasts, cravings, I could smell everything, etc... and without a period, it's impossible to know when I have something to be concerned about, or if it's just a side effect. Luckily, I never got pregnant with it, because the thought of getting pregnant with the iud in is a scary one, and considering I'm typically VERY fertile, it says something for it that it worked so well.

I felt, however, like I completely lost control of my body. I finally went in to see my obgyn three days ago. She seemed very surprised that I wanted it out (even though the nurse said she hears those complaints all the time with Mirena), but I told her I felt like my body was all out of whack, so she removed it. It was extremely quick and I didn't even feel her remove it. I have already gotten my first AF in over a year and my body is beginning to feel normal again. Ladies, I'm sure this works better for some than others, but PLEASE do your research before you make the decision to try this, and if the fear of having it removed is keeping you from removing it, remember even if it does hurt you will feel much better later!!!

I am curious as to know if anyone else has experienced the same problems I seem to be experiencing now. I got my Mirena inserted Oct 28, 08 and bled heavily for 3 weeks. Since then I have had spotting every now and then but no period. I have cramps all the time and it feels sort of like being prego but I am not. I also have discharge all the time and it started after I got Mirena put in. I am trying to remain optimistic about this because I want it to work, will someone please give me some advice as to what I should do?
Thanks

I just wanted to openly share that I got some very encouraging responses from women on this site and it makes me feel SOOOOO good to just have support. So, I wanted to respond in an open forum and share a bit more of my experience:

To the women who wrote me:

Thank you for your response. You have no idea how good it makes me feel to know I'm NOT alone. My doctor truly IS ignorant and I am promptly switching. When I told her about what I'd found on line she was sure that it was all made up. She said she also googled the Mirena issues that I had talked about and found plenty of women claiming the same thing, but she said that doesn't make it true. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT??? I mean really, I had no idea there were women on-line saying this about Mirena, so how would I even know to make up the SAME side effects as hundreds (probably thousands) of other women?!?!?! She should realize that they call it "practicing medicine" for a reason! And my Mirena cost my insurance company $1000.00...hmmmm...makes me wonder how much of a kick back the doctor's get for pushing it off on people. And I say "pusing" for a reason. I didn't even mention before that the doctor who put it in (the same OB who delivered my 3 month old) sat with me for 2 hours "convincing" me that my concerns about the device were uncalled for and that I should "go ahead and get it". I should have followed my own instincts, but went ahead and did it because my doctor (and her nurse) were making me feel stupid for worrying about the possible side effects, of which I had no idea that there were SO many. They only lead me to beleive there could be pregnancy symptoms and ectopic pregnancy (of which i was worried about that the most because I had already had a miscarriage where they thought it was ectopic). But against my better judgment I got it anyway....

So, when I went to take it out, I went to the OB that I had seen for all my prenatal visits because I didn't want to face the doctor that had pressured me. I figured the first doctor wouldn't want to take it out after only 10 or 12 days. I also thought the other OB (who knows me better and knows I don't have a history of any of the symptoms I've described) would understand and give me better advice as to why it might be happening. But SHE TOO didn't understand and had NEVER even heard of what I was telling her. I mean, really, you should have seen the way she looked at me during the visit. I think she would have had me committed right then and there if she could have. And even though I left there feeling better inside myself, I still wondered if some how I had made the whole thing up in my head. But after finding this site and reading your experience and the experiences of many other women, I truly feel so much better about my decision. I'm SO glad that i didn't wait!

There is another symptom that I didn't post before because it's a very morbid one. I would be watching TV or taking a shower or browsing the Internet and all of a sudden I would have a picture of myself lying dead on the bathroom floor from suicide. This truly freaked me out because my mind never goes to thoughts of suicide, but it was during the near two weeks of having the Mirena and it was happening more times than I care to admit. It was awful! I didn't even tell my doctor that part. She surely would have had me leaving her office in a straight jacket then. I mean my entire experience on Mirena was like an episode of the Twilght Zone. CREEPY!

To ANYONE considering getting this SOB removed...DO IT! DO IT NOW!!!! It was well on it's way to ruining my life and I only had it in for nearly 2 weeks. If you just got it and you think that it's too soon for the device to be causing your symptoms...IT'S NOT! It started causing mine right away and it only got worse!!!! Get it out!!!

And thanks to the women who wrote me and encouraged me. I SO appreciate it!!! Like I said before, it's nice to know I'm in good company and I'm not alone. THANK GOD FOR THIS SITE!

I had my mirena inserted July 2006. Not noticing any real problems until recently, I have inquired just to be sure. Upon insertion I only had about 10 minutes of pain, and was fine for a while, like almost a year. First, I started getting migraines and had never had one before until 2007. Then fatigue set in. Chronic fatigue, foul smelling discharge, abdominal pain, back pain. Recently there were serious mood swings and they feel uncontrollable, and this is not fair to my husband or daughter. My daughter is three years old and i don't have the energy to play with her or the patience to deal with her. I feel like a failure of a mom because of the mood swings, fatigue, and depression. I have been married for almost 6 years and I have suddenly lost my sexual urges, they just fell off, and the way we were going I thought that that would never happen. But the thing that concerns me the most is the lack of period. I know they say that they will lessen but I haven't had a period since October 2008. Your period is a means of releasing waste, so I have pent up waste not going anywhere. Nausea set in between September and October 2008. I am constantly depressed and stressed for no reason my life is good. My husband has done some research because he said that all of a sudden I wasn't my normal self. I was put on medication for depression and none of the dosages worked, that is sad. We have agreed to have this "thing" removed. I would much rather try some condoms or even get pregnant again than to be a whole new person that I nor anyone else enjoys.

I had my Mirena taken out yesterday after only 2 months of using it and a couple of hours after having it removed, all those nasty pregnancy symptoms I had are gone !!!! I'm soooo happy. Doctor told me that this is the first time she heard of a patient who is so sensitive to the amount of hormones released. I think she's lying. I'm not surprised if we are guinea pigs by the drug company to test it's side effects. Paying guinea pigs mind you.

I've been on Nuva Ring for 4 months and I've been having terrible night sweats for about 3 months. I wake up soaked. It's so bad that I'm developing rashes from the sweat. Every morning I have diarrhea. I had pregnancy symptoms. I also get severe headaches and dizziness. The week that I take the ring out I feel nauseous. I do have pain during intercourse and low drive. I tried to find something on line too for night sweats as a side effect. I'm very worried now and will be contacting my GYN!

I'm not posting anything new that anyone hasn't said- I just wanted to google my side effects because since taking Loestrin 24 I have all the pregnancy symptoms I had before with my 2 kids. I have been on this pill for about 3 months now, and took FIVE pregnancy tests already because I have NO period at all and I am PARANOID since I was always a heavy bleeder with periods. I went from bleeding for days on end, sometimes up to 10-14 days with headaches and everything. Now I have no period and all these awful side effects. I wake up feeling exhausted, I'm restless at night, having anxiety dreams and even feeling anxious during the day. My husband (and myself) cannot handle anymore of the severe mood swings for no reason. I am peeing all the time like I did when I was pregnant...I'm also nauseous and frequently have upset stomach...like I did when I was prego. the ONLY thing that has been a "relief" is not having periods, but if it means I have to deal with feeling bloated, nauseous, crampy, miserable, and anxious, then it's really not worth taking.

I'll be calling my GYN soon...glad I googled this pill and found all these similar comments because I certainly was not warned of these side effects.

I've had Mirena for nearly two and a half years now. About 6 weeks after I got it in I had to take a pregnancy test because I was dizzy, nauseous, bloated, and had sore breasts. I was not pregnant. But I've had a repeat experience every few months since then. Sometimes I feel so sick and tired that I can't do anything but lie on the sofa. After I stopped nursing I got bad pregnancy symptoms and cramps so horrible I thought my IUD had punctured something. Currently I feel sick to my stomach, and I've been getting headaches, and I'm tired and terribly thirsty all the time. I've read about others who had the same problem. I've also had nearly continuous yeast infections and vaginal irritation since I got it in. My libido has dropped incredibly and I'm always kind of dry during sex. I had problems with depression before getting the Mirena, but now I have anxiety on top of that. At the two-year mark I started getting nasty under-the-skin acne under my chin, and I've gained ten pounds since then. Some of that might have been my own fault, but I currently eat healthily and exercise 1 to 1 1/2 hours most days, and it's taken weeks for me to stop gaining, and I know I'm losing way slower than is natural. I put up with it this long because I haven't gained huge amounts of weight or had really bad mood swings, and I'm afraid of what might happen with other types of birth control, but I am sick of being sick all the time. I'm getting this thing out!

I am just started on NR 2 weeks ago. I have had many pregnancy symptoms since insertion of NR....sore breasts, nausea, exhaustion. I started the NR on the first day of my period, which was just starting and a little light, and used extra BC during the first 7 days. My period stopped immediately (has this happened to anyone else?) Of course I was worried when I started having these symptoms, so I took two morning HPTs which came out negative. As I read these posts I am wondering if the NR convenience is worth it. I can't stop thinking that I may be pregnant, when every test I take says that I am not. I am mentally exhausted.

Well, I have been on Loestrin 24 Fe for about a year now and let me tell you, the person who said their side effects increased with time is exactly right! I have been miserable lately. I have been beyond moody, I have no appetite, my husband hates me because I have ZERO sex drive...I mean ZERO. We'll go a month at a time without having sex. My attitude is miserable. I feel like the most depressed person on the planet and I have never ever experienced depression symptoms until being on this pill. Recently, I missed 5 of my pills while I was on vacation, and magically, my sex drive reappeared and I wanted to eat everything in sight. Seems to me, the pill is causing me grief now. Within the last 2 months, I've had crazy pregnancy symptoms too. I'm SO beyond over this pill, I'm finishing the pack and then it's back to condoms for us. I was on Yaz for a while too before Loe, and let me just say I was the biggest bitch on the face of the earth. I'm just guessing these pills aren't right for me. The only thing that DID work was a minipill that I was on when I was breastfeeding my daughter. My ob-gyn took me off because she said that the hormone levels weren't high enough when I stopped breastfeeding to prevent pregnancy. Gosh, I miss that pill. Oh well. It's nice to know I'm not the only one with these problems.

I got Mirena put in Feb of 07 almost a year after my second baby. I thought it was the greatest thing one earth for almost the next year and a half. I always had light periods so I stopped having periods completely since it was put in. I had no side effects whatsoever until Aug 08. I started having mild headaches that turned severe and did not go away for over 20 days.

That was my first sign. I started having pelvic pain (which has since gotten much worse) resembling ovarian cyst pain. I started bloating like crazy and my clothes were very tight and uncomfortable. I started experiencing pregnancy symptoms which worried me so I took a pregnancy test and it came out positive. I took another one later and it came out negative. I went to my regular Dr (because she had to order the tests for insurance purposes) and their tests came out negative. I've been pregnant 9 times (7 miscarriages) so I don't need a pregnancy test to tell me I'm pregnant. I know I was but my lack of periods wouldn't allow the uterus to hold a pregnancy.

I looked up my symptoms online and found hundreds of women with the same experiences. My Dr looked for the Mirena and couldn't find the strings or the device so she ordered an emergency ultrasound (lucky for me I have great Drs). They found the Mirena pushed further back in my uterus and that I had a large cyst (which I already knew I had from all my pain). My headaches got worse, my uterus pain got worse, I had back pain like crazy, I became so tired I could hardly move, and I was constantly nauseous. With a husband, 2 kids, and a job there was no time for all of that. I talked to people at work recently and they said when I was experiencing the best of my symptoms they were talking to me and I was looking at them like I was telling them to F*** off with my facial expression. I had to explain to them that it was the extreme headaches and the pain I was in and not them. I didn't realize it got so bad that my facial expressions showed it!

I went to my Ob/Gyn for an appt I had scheduled weeks before my pain started and told the PA about my symptoms so she looked for the strings and found them so the Mirena was back in place. She asked if I wanted it left there and I told her HELL NO. She pulled it out immediately and called it a demon, which makes me believe she knows about the horrible side effects. She didn't try to talk me out of it at all, not that I would have let her. Both of my Drs were very understanding to my need to have it removed and were willing to do it.

After I had it removed I continued having those symtpoms but they are beginning to fade off. I did have one day where I woke up and I was a raging B**** from the minute I opened my eyes and I don't know why. I apoligized profusely to my family and I knew it was my hormones but I could do nothing about it. Later that day I had my first ever anxiety attack and I freaked out. It was TERRIBLE. I've had continuous spotting since then. All these are our bodies' way of telling us to stop polluting our poor bodies. It's called "the crash"

Well ladies good luck with your little demons and remember the side effects continue until your body can regulate itself again. Don't give up cause it will get better.

Yes, I do agree that everyone reacts differently to bcp, and should decide for themselves once taken the pills, their own opinions. However, even though many women on this website have negative comments about Loestrin, believe it or not, it has helped me. The comments have not persuaded my decision to start or stop the pill, but has let me know that what I'm experiencing is NORMAL! I was freaking out and my doctor was of NO help! The extreme moodiness, pregnancy symptoms, back pain, fatigue, and worst of all(no one posted but makes sense now) was after intimacy I would immediately have severe cramps, leg pain, and back pain that lasted about 30min. I felt as if I was in labor, and I know that feeling. So yes, decide which pill is right for you, but Loestrin is NOT the pill for me!!! Thank you to all the comments posted because it made me realize I am not alone, and helped me figure out why I was experiencing these symptoms when my doctor couldn't.
