I'm a 30 year-old female. I've been on Lisniprol for almost four years. And these four years have been the worst of my life. I've had test after test and seen dr. after dr. trying to figure out what is wrong with me. I have a terrible cough, my face gets hot and I get the chills (kinda like the flu), I'm very achy with pain in my legs and back, headaches, confusion, memory loss, sensitivity to heat/cold, swollen throat, very tired. Chest pain and trouble breathing (wore a heart monitor and had stress test, but everything was normal). Heart rate is rapid. Gained a lot of weight in the last three years. Everything test-wise always came back normal. Saw an OB/GYN to see if I was premenopausal; nope. Had an MRI and CT for the backpain; nothing; Labs done to rule out throid disease; nothing. Saw a neorosurgeon for possible nervous system disease from so much pain. Nothing he could do. Went to allergist for possible allergies; nothing. Oh....but wait..I go to the dr. today to tell him I'm still not feeling better and that I ran acrossed some information on the web about possible side effects of the bp pill Lisinopril and that I still recall that I started experiencing side effects about the time I started the medication of 10mg. Then when he increased it to 40mg, I really felt terrible. He looked back through my labs and saw that an allergan level had been very high in my CBC. He said, "bingo, you must have an allergic reaction, or maybe a perisite". He said this CBC is done on a normal blood test and will show elevation if the body is trying to fight off an infection or has an allergic reaction to something. So...went off the BP pills today. I'll keep everyone posted. My email is ****** if anyone wants to email me with similar situations.

I have been on a very low dose of Lisinopril for about a month now in treatment of Proteinuria in my kidney and have not experienced any of the known side effects. I am, however, experiencing a very erratic menstrual cycle, namely spotting virtually every day. I have been to see an OB/GYN and it has been determined that my internal organs are normal. I do not believe that I am premenopausal and hormonal tests have confirmed that. I have read in this discussion string that a someone else has experienced similar symptoms. Are there any more women, who have experienced this problem? I may just go off the medication to test this theory.

I've had just about all of them in the last 6 months. I've taken Yasmin for 2 years. The first year was relatively symptom free. I even lost 15 pounds, that I've been able to keep off the entire time. I bragged about the RX to friends who may be interested and thought it was the miracle pill. I starting taking the pill about 2 years ago to regulate my period and ease PMS symptoms, which it did for over a year.
However, in the last few months, I've had the following symptoms and thought I was just premenopausal
Mood swings
Fogginess, loss of concentration
Not caring about anything
Totally unmotivated
severe stomach pains, cramps bloating
heart palpatations
bladder pain
night sweats
and the most bothersome of all insomia, so bad I started taking Ambien regularly to sleep, which has it's own set of side affects.
I just got off of Yasmin 4 days ago. So I'm now going through the crampting and bloating from doing that. I hope I get back to a semi-normal life style. I work full time and go to school and not being able to concentrate really stinks.

I was definitively diagnosed with endo at 27, but had symptoms for years prior. I am now 42. My doctor told me at the age of 27 he was not going to put me on Lupron, as the side effects could be horrific for a woman that age; my goal was not conception, but rather pain relief. He said if I could ride it out until I started showing menopausal symptoms, then we would go with the Lupron prior to hysterectomy.
The endoscopy done at that time bought me about 4 months of relief, then the symptoms started to slowly recur. With my having had a precocious puberty, it was a pretty sure bet I would go premenopausal in a few years.
Started at age 37; the endo pain has gotten so severe that it now keeps me up nights, mid-cycle (whenever that may be - my cycles have been doing their own thing now). I already have hot flashes, night sweats.
I was given the Lupron 2 weeks ago, in order to calm the inflamed lesions prior to my hysterectomy in a few months. They also plan on taking one ovary, and this will give my body an adjustment period prior to surgery (the hope is I can maintain my female hormone levels without redevelopment of full blown endo before I am naturally finished with menopause).
Headaches? Night sweats? Hot flashes? Insomnia? Had them before I started Lupron.
And in my case, I have lost 4 lbs in 2 weeks without really trying; except for the fact my craving for candy is diminished. I still eat some, but when I go to the store, I can pass the candy aisle without even having to browse, to see what's new. I just don't care anymore.

I am amazed! I have dry skin, hands and scalp, Skin bruises on arms and now starting on my chest in small spots, muscle and joint pain in feet. I wake up every morning stiff and bent over going to the bathroom, chronic sinus problems, going to see ENT (thought I had polyps) Dr. on the 30th of November, huge stomach, due to having twins 3 years ago, large pannus and excessive weight gain in stomach area which I think is due to advair, lost hair in crown area of scalp and my scalp STAYS flaky, hair thinning out, night sweats which I thought was premenopausal (I'm 40). Floaters in eyes which are more pronounced now than ever and sometimes flashes of white spots in peripheal vision. Toenails are dry, big toe is dry and dark and they look very unhealthy.

I have been taking arimidex for 20 months. At 34, I now have signs of oesteoporosis and even now experiencing a fracture because of this.
Doctor had recommended arimidex because it is considered as a superior drug that is new and effective. During my research I realized and felt this was not for me as it was noted that it is not effective in premenopausal.
